Good clean fun. It was inexpensive and a great way to spend a few hours outdoors on a Saturday with family.

This mini golf venue has promise but falls short of being all that it could be.
The pirate décor is neat and I like the big pirate ship. There are two courses 18 holes or 27 holes. There is no difference in difficulty you just get extra holes.
The holes themselves aren’t really challenging. Most are fairly straight shots so that was disappointing. For a more slightly challenging experience is recommend the indoor golf at sugarloaf mills (the courses have more angles and obstacles).
The venue is surrounded by water because duh pirate ship; but I think that attracts bugs. My friend and I were bitten up by something the entire time we played. I started to notice it by the 3^rd hole and had to stop to scratch my semi exposed feet at each hole after. To be fair we also noticed there are ants on the putting greens of each hole so maybe they were biting ants and it wasn’t the water. Either way it really didn’t make this an enjoyable experience.

Based on the facility, I would give this place 3 stars. It is a bit worn down and the place is in need of some good maintainance. That being said, the personnel was good. First they offer military discounts. Second, we originally paid for both courses, but my child got cranky after the 18 hole course. I asked them if they could do anything and they ended up giving me a raincheck for another 18 hole course. Very nice since I didn’t expect them to do anything.

Wife and I had a date night and decided to hit the «links» after dinner. The course is laid out well and is clean and nice. The giant waterfall is a nice touch. Took away a star due to proximity to the interstate which made it sort of loud. Overall great fun!

This is probably the best outdoor mini-​golf course in Atlanta (we don’t play the indoor courses). It’s clean, in decent shape, and the course is well designed. The holes aren’t very creative, but the decoration and theme is well done. The last two holes are on a pirate ship, for example. And fake «cannon balls» splash in the water while you play. We went on Mother’s Day and despite the large crowd, we didn’t feel annoyed by the wait to play each hole because there was a lot to look at. Our daughter was in her umbrella stroller which required me to haul it up and down stairs, but it wasn’t really a big deal.
Only 4 stars because of the lack of creativity on the holes.

This golf course is a lot of fun. There are two sides to play. .a nine hole side if you are looking for a quicker game or an 18 hole side. There is also a deal to play both sides. We usually play both. The overall atmosphere is great — it’s a pirate ship! During your play you go around in and up on the ship. Plus it is outdoors which is great to do when the weather is nice. The kids really will enjoy it! There are often deals on Groupon so check before you go.
I am giving this 3.5 stars and would definitely go to four even five stars if the upkeep was a little better. The waterways are filled with debris and need to be cleaned out. The courses need someone to go through with a leaf blower to keep sticks and other tree droppings from impeding your ball. Some fresh paint and better maintenance would earn a better review from me but it will not prevent me from going again.

I loved playing mini golf here! It is one of the best mini golf courses in Georgia. It is affordable, ($ 7 – 8.50 for kids, $ 8 – 9.50 adults) the staff was friendly, the courses were well-​kept, & they even had a Groupon available for purchase. Would definitely recommend & plan on visiting again.

The boyfriend and I were struggling to think of something fun to do one Sunday morning. It was hot out and rather than lamenting the loss of the pool in my move from apartment to house, we decided to slather on the sunscreen and head up to Gwinnett for some mini-​golf, er, putt putt, as the Southerners say.
We played all 27 holes and had ourselves a grand ol’ time. Although the course wasn’t difficult, it was just difficult enough to make us competitive. I will admit, I even jumped when the cannons made the water splash up.
There are no concessions sold here, aside from some drinks in a vending machine, so bring a bottle or two of water.

This place takes me back to my childhood. My dad took me just about every Saturday to mini golf. OK so it’s not your fast paced high energy family outing like say at six flags but it is fun. I think the pirate theme is cute and the price is fair and they often have groupons. My only complaint is the size it’s kind of small and compacted but coming on the weekend probably exasperated that feeling. I didn’t like the family behind us hovering either it was like they were trying to set some personal mini golf course record for fastest time at each hole. I felt crowded and watched at times when there was plenty of space for them to chill until we took our turn but i digress personal space invaders are pet peeves of mine. Overall the place is worth checking out for a date, rolling solo, or entertaining the kids. Enjoy.

I went today with my fiancé thanks to a great Groupon deal. We were total n00bz since it was both our first times ever playing mini golf. I think that we could’ve been better informed by the employees since we’ve never done this before and we kept having to go back to the front desk to ask various questions like how to keep score or what size golf club I should get.
So anyways, we played the first 9 holes then I guess there was another golf course for 18 holes. We only did that second course up to 11, I think, since we had to leave.
One thing I did not like was that we had to wait for people in front of us to be done and I felt like the people behind us were just waiting too close. I like to go at my own pace with things like these and move onto the next one when I want. But we did go on a Sunday with awesome cloudy yet sunny weather so of course it’d be a bit busy.
Overall, I like the layout and theme of the place. It’s a very cute date idea or a great family fun activity. I’m glad I can check mini golf off my to-​do list! Great place for everyone who loves mini golf or has never tried it before. Only complaints were first impressions of not-​so-​helpful employees.

Okay so this place was kinda fun! I went put putting with the fam! :) but it was hot as Hades and not any shade! Itbwas also kinda dingy! Also, they only give you like one ball so if you lose it you have to fish for or find another ball or trek all the way back down for a ball! And trust me you will lose your balls on the course! Heehee! ;)

I really enjoyed Pirates Cove both times I went! It’s great for folks of ALL ages! The mini-​golf course is very well maintained. They have 2 courses in total; one with 9 holes and the other with 18 holes. I’ve done both courses and they were a lot of fun! The scenery is very pretty especially the waterfall. Prices are average to low and parking is FREE! There are 2 sizes of golf clubs to choose from and you can even choose the color of your ball. Honestly this is the best putt putt Georgia has to offer!
I definitely recommend Pirates Cove for some good, clean, family fun!

Nuts and bolts: I used to play miniature golf as a kid and missed it. After trying out a different spot (with a negative experience), I purchased a voucher to try out Pirate’s Cove.
Cons: There is alot of tree coverage and the falling foliage can interrupt the ball’s path.
Pros: It is outside! As all miniature golf should be, in my opinion. It is generally clear where you need to go next. A bit weird though because the courses cross each other. I liked the water features. The staff was nice.
Neutral: The courses were just OK. There could have been more creativity, especially with the theme.
Tip: The staff advised us to take a couple extra balls with us in case we lost them in the water. Luckily we didn’t lose any, but there were PLENTY along the course. I would advise that you be cautious and bring some along. Cause it could be a long walk back to the lobby.
Take home: Not bad and I would revisit when it is warmer out.

Pirate’s Cove is a pirate-​themed mini golf course. There are 27 holes total, but you can play just 9, 18, or all 27. I came here with some friends on a Saturday night and we played 18 for $ 7.50 per person. It’s an affordable night (or day) out.
First things first: at nighttime, the lighting for this course is not very good. I’d probably come in the daytime if I were you. At night, some parts of the course are completely dark so you can’t even see where you’re hitting. You can’t tell if there are any bumps, ridges, or undulations in the surface nor can you see if there are any obstacles in your way. It’s pretty annoying. Worst of all, there many places on the course where if you set up to the ball, your shadow darkens everything, so you can hardly see the ball you’re hitting. Thus, they really need to do something about the lighting here.
As for the course itself, as far as I could tell underneath the poor lighting conditions, it seemed to be in decent condition. The putting surface was smooth and uniform. The holes themselves weren’t overly fancy or gimmicky. They were actually pretty straightforward. The trickiest shots were around bends or underneath/​over obstacles.
You work your way around and eventually into a small pirate ship. The final holes are on board the ship. That’s kind of cool. Along the way, a river with pools and waterfalls snakes its way through the course. Water does come into play on several holes as does artificial «rough.»
It’s mini golf, so don’t expect much as far as equipment is concerned: colored golf balls and putters with heads made of rubber. Yes, the putter heads aren’t real metal because they don’t want you destroying the property with your swings of anger. The metal shafts look beat up and rusty and the rubber grips are sticky and falling apart.
Staff is nice. Unlike a real golf course, there are no marshalls that try to keep the pace of play up here, so you’ll be at the mercy of the groups in front of you.
BTW, I got a hole in one on No. 13, supposedly one of the hardest holes on the course. Admittedly, it was mostly luck.

I have not been mini-​golfing in YEEAARs and honestly, didn’t realize we had a place to go to here in the Atlanta area! I’m used to seeing these places in more touristy towns like Myrtle Beach, Orlando, down the Jersey shore.
Pirate’s Cove is a good place to take the kids. There are two or three courses to choose from. 18 holes and 27 holes… and there’s a kid’s option, too. We did 18 holes that probably took 45 minutes or so, and as a group of adults, we each paid $ 8 and change.
If you’ve ever been mini-​golfing before in your life, this is standard. We did think that the holes were not necessarily getting harder the further we got, despite the par for each indicating otherwise.
I can see having a lot more fun if we had gone drinking before we got there. We had a good time anyway considering the slight heat and repetition of actions. I think the most exciting part was when we got too close to the fabricated splash in the river. You hear the typical cartoony sound of a cannonball flying your way, and then something in the river shoots a stream into the air at unsuspecting victims.
The location is great. It’s right next to a hotel (if you’re traveling far to get here? You are probably visiting for some other reason, if so — Gwinnett Arena is not far.) It’s also a very short drive (about a mile) from a busy area with lots of shopping (a mall) and food.
Recommended for families with tweens.

It’s 10 on a Saturday night, you don’t want to go home, but you don’t want to eat or drink and the humidity quotient is less than 90%. What to do?
Drive to Duluth and play mini golf, clearly.
We were shocked that a lot of people had the same idea. And that’s my biggest complaint about this place: it gets crowded and big groups can cause a serious backup. Perhaps they should design it so there are different places to start or that there’s a limit on group number or something.
Luckily, as we went through the night it spaced out a little better so we didn’t have to wait quite as much and ended up having a heck of a good time. The course is clean for the most part (I’m going to ignore the rat that I saw run by at one point) and the holes are pretty easy so you don’t get too down on your lack of skills. There wasn’t a whole lot of creative design to the holes: I remember the putt putt of my youth having a lot more tricks and turns, but perhaps that’s just nostalgia speaking.
They’re open till 11 on summer weekends so it’s a decent late night choice, I just wish there was something closer intown. Still, I wouldn’t turn my nose up at going back. Just watch out for the real-​life rats and fake cannon blasts.

Fun! I love «putt-​putt» as we call it here in Ga. I never play it but I’ve always enjoyed it when I took the opportunity. This was a cool place. Its pretty hot there and little shade if its warm out, be ware.
The staff was incredibly friendly, so much so that I thought maybe there was a catch and we were being hustled for something. Maybe it was just because I was on a pirate ship and I don’t really trust pirates.
Just a warning, the first hole seemed to be a little tricky for quite a few people. My gf lost 3 balls on that hole. So, before you start out, if you aren’t a golfer… grab some extra balls. They don’t mind.

This place is pretty okay. I can’t say it’s great because it’s the first mini golf place I’ve been to. I am impressed about the elaborate decorations and space. I would probably visit this location again. The only down side is that there are a lot of people here on the weekend. But, it shows that this is a popular place amongst the regulars.
The price is decent – $ 8.48 for 18 holes I believe.
