This store is located inside the Assi food court on pleasant hill. They serve Indian food. First time i noticed this place is after ordering bahn mi’s at the shop next door. So i figured i’ll have some dessert. Ordered some gulab jamuns. If memory serves me right, 3 gulab jamuns come in one plate. The ones i got served tasted like they had gone bad. I told the shop guy this, he’s like ohhh they must be old and i was like WTF? do you not have an expiration date or something? He insisted i try something else… needless to say i didn’t. Next time i stopped by for more banh mi’s the shop guy recognized me and said«oh after you left that day, i bought more gulab jamuns from assi itself» and i had a bigger WTF look on my face… so they don’t even make their own stuff? Weird. Anyways if i really wanted Indian food i could go somewhere else down the street like naan and curry or asmas cuisine/kitchen. I tried a friends chicken 65… it was really dry. Naan broke and tasted like it was in the freezer before… not fresh. I wouldn’t eat here for free.
