History

Established in 1970.

Infax, Inc. began operations in 1970 under the name of D2 Products Corporation. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the company was one of the U.S. pioneers in design, manufacture and maintenance of information display systems for the transportation industry. Beginning in the 1980’s, the company installed numerous airport multi-​user flight information display systems (MUFIDS) that integrated digital to video designs, electronic light emitting diode (LED) and color display monitors. In 1985, the company changed its name to Infax to align itself with the key product known as the «Infax» system. Infax is one of a few original U.S. based companies that continues to provide display systems to transportation, judicial and medical markets and is owned by the founders. Infax system designs are highly scalable resulting in competitive solutions that are used in airports like the world’s busiest Hartsfield-​Jackson Atlanta International Airport and for airlines like Air Tran Airways.
