We’re Dubuque’s hometown, home comfort experts!

Mack Patterson started Patterson Heating and Cooling in 1970 after serving as a teacher in Dubuque. Mack’s son, Bret, grew up with the heating and cooling business and joined the company after finishing school. Today, he leads the Patterson team as its president.

Our most recently added service is radon mitigation. Radon gas is one of the more serious — and common — threats to home safety within the tri-​state area.

One thing that will never change is our commitment to providing professional, courteous, and prompt customer service. Mack’s original commitment to his customers was so strong, he felt that his best advertisement was his «Ask Your Neighbors» motto. Today, we still believe that you should be able to ask any Patterson customer about the company and receive a good recommendation.
