Los peri is used to be qualified as my whole families go to Mexican joint. The unlimited chips and big open salsa bar gives this place a different feel, but the food can’t stand alone. Over the years, the food quality has decreased substantially. The prawn Diablo entrée which is $ 15.00 has had different consistencies in the flavor and texture of the sauce, which makes or breaks this dish. Likewise, the prawns themselves change in size and flavor, some days tasting good and others tasting like they came straight from the Mexican market in Hayward. I don’t know if it is just the fact that food has gotten progressively worse or if my knowledge of Mexican food has gotten better. If anything it’s a mix of both. Sanitation is also an issue here, as it is in many Mexican restaurants. But that is a whole other avenue that I will not embark on in this review. Give this place a try and figure it out for yourself. Just don’t expect the best Mexican you have ever had, trust me you can find better.

This place is what all night caps are made of. If we can’t head to SF mission district, we come here as an alternative. The burritos, tacos and especially the nachos are all staples of our diet. Sometimes, this is our first and sometimes it’s our last meal of the night– either way, we always leave feeling happy from our carb overload.

I still love it here. I’ve been going to this Taqueria since I was a little girl, and even though I don’t live right around the corner any more I still try to stop by after visiting mom. Favorites are definitely the crispy taco with pollo — it’s crunchy and juicy and delicious! Then there’s the chile relleno, and the classic carne asada super burrito, always good staples. My Favorite lately has been the Menudo on the weekends. Come Saturday morning, my mouth is watering for this Menudo!!!

I’ve gotten a Chicken Burrito both wet and reg. Tasty was not too impressed with the wet sauce but the burrito was very good best I’ve tasted in Pleasanton. only thing i thought was bad was the price was just a little too high. other then that the food was good

This is a go to in town! Best authentic Mexican food. Friendly staff. Lots of family’s eat here. I love taking my kids here they get the kids quesadilla. They even give you the remote for the tv! Another thing the food is great! Fresh salsa bar, they always add chips and napkins to your to go order. Speaking of to go. We ordered 3 things one night and my GF came back and we accidently got charged for a fajita meal for another $ 12. I simply called them and explained and without any hesitation said to come back for a refund for the fajitas and keep them! No problems or argument at all! Awesome place I would recommend eating here. Im here probably 4 times a month

The tacos are bomb here! Love the al pastor taco. I also go HAM on the salsa bar and we always grab a beer to go with the tacos!

Definitely a go-to in this area. Everything I’ve tried is delicious — burritos, tacos, enchiladas. The carne asada is my favorite, the grilled chicken is good too. Carnitas is a hit or miss; I’ve had really yummy carnitas and other times it was dry. I would say I’m pretty picky with Mexican food, but this place can get it right. We’ve gotten Pericos for catering for a few birthday parties! There’s also a good selection of salsa(and there’s limes at the salsa bar too!), and their chips are solid. I’ve gotten full stuffing my face with their chips and salsa. Oh, and the horchata is good too! –1 star cause they can be inconsistent. Sometimes they have awesome customer service, other days not so much. They’ve messed up my order a couple times, and the quality of their carnitas seems to change.

This is hands down the best taqueria in the tri valley area. I’ve been here at least 30 times, and everything that I’ve ordered has been fantastic. The portions are huge; a super burrito could be split into two meals. There is plenty of variety at the salsa bar, as well as unlimited chips. Prices are a bit on the high side, but you definitely get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a fancy restaurant with modern décor, you will be disappointed. But if you are looking for a great meal with generous portions, you have found your new spot.

You tricked me, Los Pericos. You gave me a great enchilada plate once. I was so happy. Could it be that this LA guy had found a nearby go-to place for Mexican food?! Nope. Because you followed up twice with the worst enchilada plates I have ever had. It wasn’t even the flavor; you served me marinated chicken that had been sitting so long that it became CRISPY. You consciously served me something you wouldn’t eat yourself. I want to try one of your burritos since a San Diegan gave a recent solid review, but I respect myself too much(aka I’m scared of getting hurt).

Taqueria Los Pericos is bae. Going to school in San Diego, my standards for Mexican food became extremely high. I personally can’t stand La Victorias in SJ or the other El Farolito in SF. They don’t stand a chance of satisfying my Mexican needs. But this place, tucked in Dublin of all places is amazing! After New Years Eve and being hungover(of course), I was craving a burrito and found this place nearby my gf’s home. Venturing there and ordering an al pastor burrito(spicy pork), I never felt so happy in my life as the worker handed me the burrito. It was huge! And not only was the tortilla warmed up but the burrito was packed to the brim with al pastor. I reached a new level of burrito happiness. They even cooked the al pastor to be both crispy and chewy. Well done Los Periocos, well done. I clearly remember feeling extremely sad when I realized there was one bite left of this burrito and almost ordered a second one. But I was too full to continue eating, and almost came back later that day for another burrito. Seriously, this place is amazing and deserves more recognition for being so delicious. Will definitely come back.

We thought we’d give this place a try given its reputation in Unilocal and the number of patrons. The place has a very casual fast food setting. Food are priced cheaply. But the food is very good quality. Patrons seat themselves and order at the counter. Then they wait for their food to be served while enjoying unlimited chips and a variety of salsa. Fountain drinks are unlimited too. We tried their super nachos, carne asada, and chicken taco. The Nacho came with a choice of chicken, beef, BBQ pork, etc. I picked beef as per the cashier’s recommdation. It was a very good choice. It came in a paper bowl and that was overflowing with nachos and toppings. The kids loved the crunchy nachos. The chicken taco were too tiny. We should’ve ordered a meal that came with the sides. This is a good addition, if a meal is not enough to fill you. We loved the Carne asada. The meat was tender and tasty. It came with a reasonable portion of sides and meat. It was hard for us to finish it. This is a good place for family and friends to have a casual and enjoyable meal. Makes me feel like I’m in a small diner in Mexico.

I’ve been to 3 different Los Pericos and they are all quite similar. Similarly good!!! They have a slight variance in price but I assume it’s due to location and rent. They DON’T have the ham breakfast burrito here =(Nonetheless still a solid food spot!

Prices keep going up… it’s to the point that it’s getting stupid. I ordered a can of Tecate and was charged $ 4.99! Are you shitting me? I can buy a 30-rack at Safeway for $ 18. Taco plate used to be $ 5.99 — now $ 8.50! And it’s served on foam plates with plastic utensils and shitty napkins in a shithole environment. C’mon Los Pericos, you’re slowly losing your appeal. Just«okay» for me these days. At least the food is still pretty grubbin’. 3 stars

Sigh. The quest for a great Mex place continues in the Tri Valley. Admittedly the food wasn’t that great because we ordered to go, but the taste of the food and esp the manner In which it was packed to go didn’t help either. My fiancé ordered crispy tacos and I ordered the carne asada plate. In short, her tacos were so soggy that when she lifted them from the take out tray, the bottom fell out. From both tacos. What might have contributed to that is that they weren’t placed on or in wax paper and was also covered with a half a head of lettuce! Better not order them next time and just eat in. The beans and rice were like 99.9% of all Mex restaurants. My asada was very dry. Some pieces were like beef jerky. Tortillas were hard on the edges too. Best part the fiancé and I agreed were the chips and pico de gallo. We wished we would’ve gotten more. Anyways I’m willing to try this place out again(next time for just tacos), but won’t be in a great rush to get there. Fiancé will probably say no. And on another note, I just can’t get over how expensive Mex food is in this area. $ 3.00 for a taco in Los Angeles is a quick way to guarantee an early bankruptcy.

Ordered Steak tacos from here. $ 3.50 each. So expensive… It honestly can not be compared to taco trucks. But overall, it’s okay. They gave my order to the wrong table filled with high school kids. So of course they would accept it instead of doing the noble thing and say that it isn’t their order. Unlimited chips and salsa. The steak taco was very chewy and dry. Gives you a lot of meat though. A LOT of cilantro. And some onions. Probably the best tacos around dublin though.

My boyfriend and I came here because it was packed next door at Khyber Pass Kabob on a Friday night at 7:30pm. We actually beat the rush because right after we ordered, the line went out the door. We split a carne asada super burrito between the two of us for a total of about $ 10. The prices turned me off, since they aren’t the cheapest for a simple authentic Mexican Taqueria. The salsa bar was nice though. We grabbed chips and sauces and found a spot in the back near a tv to watch the Giants game. There are a lot of tables. Our food came out extremely quickly, not even 5 minutes after sitting down, the staff brought our food to us. My first bite into the burrito was meh. Their rice kinda tasted like cardboard to me… lol. So I dumped hella sauce and jalapenos onto the burrito, making it taste somewhat decent. Towards the end, I finally tasted the guac, sour cream, and cheese, that I wished was more evenly dispersed through the whole burrito. I wasn’t satisfied with the prices, nor the taste, so I probably won’t be back.

Solid 4 stars and the best Mexican food in the Dublin//San Ramon/Danville area. I’ve had their super burrito with shredded chicken and their pollo asado super quesadilla twice. Both were excellent and huge! They weighed at least 1lb+! I love the char taste of the chicken. The salsa bar includes at least 6 – 7 different types of varying spice/texture. Little togo containers are provided so I usually get a couple of each. The chips are warmed under the heat lamp and restocked throughout the day. Expect a line during dinner time especially on the weekends. Wait on a togo order is usually at least 10 – 15 minutes. The prices slightly have gone up since I last posted a pic of their menu. Will try to snap an updated menu soon.
