I have been under Dr. Aurora’s care for over 6 years now. This review is much overdue and I was curious how his Unilocal reviews were.
I initially saw him for my degenerated disc in my neck and low back. My discs had slipped from years of working and driving the 680. I work for UPS and their work comp doc recommended surgery. Yeah right at 34 yrs old. I had done the epidural a from a pain management guy and no helps. I found him online and set up some appointments. I spoke to his clients in the waiting room and everyone had the same story. Drugs first. Didn’t work. Physical therapy next. Made it worse. Recommended injections and surgery.
And EVERYONE in dr A waiting room was so happy they found him. All were easy to recxomend to try the spinal decompression therapy. I did and I am still without pain 6 years later. Dr. Aurora is easy to see and spend time with everyone. If you have any back pain or sciatica. Look him up!

Last year, Dr. Aurora helped me with my ridiculously painful herniated disc which was resulting in massive leg pain and a twisted physique. I’m new on this Unilocal thingy, so it took a while to provide this review.
Basically, I did the VAX-​D thing for 3 months. The pain went away, but in addition to his treatment, I had two cortizone shots from the pain doctor that works in this same office and I fixed my nutrition situation. I figured less fat and stronger muscles can’t hurt. I’m in the gym 4 days a week now and even running miles. My pain is gone, ghostrider.

I’ve never actually been to Dr. Aurora, BUT, when I e-​mailed him today to schedule an initial appointment, his response was «We are out of the country indefinitely on an emergency. Pls find another resource.» Polite, but definitely not going to help anyone in the near future.

Found Dr. A on Unilocal.I had pretty severe back pain with sciatica pain in my left left and foot. I had been to another different chiropractor in San Ramon but he cracked me and made it really worse. When I called Dr. aurora and I explained the situation and asked what he thought and that I was in a lot of pain, he immediately scheduled me the next day for an exam. He discovered my leg was partly numb from my sciatic nerve and suspected a herniated disc. His staff verified my insurance and he recommended me for an MRI.
Lucky Dr. Aurora works with a Pain management doctor so I was able to get some medications to help my pain. After the films confirmed a serious L5 disc bulge I began his back decompression program. I was disappointed my insurance didn’t cover the treatments but the other option for surgery was not appealing. After my 7^th visit I can say my back pain is almost down to a 3 out of 10. (From a ⁹⁄₁₀) and my sciatic pain is going away. I give a lot of credit to this clinic for taking good care of my pain. I will update this review after I finish the program but very relieved I can walk again with out pain.

Ive always known Raj to be professional, knowledgeable and an expert in his field. Whenever I have any questions regarding back pain or general health and wellness information Raj is the first one to come to mind. He is a «straight shooter» meaning ‘tell you how it is kind of DC” with a nice flare and genuine personality spark to go along with it. Although I am still considered a «young buck» by many, im sure there will be a time when Raj gets real familiar with my calls as he will be my go to Chiropractor when I need one. Steve Eveleth

I work out and keep active so chiropractic care is essential to my body. If you go! You know the difference adjustments can make as an athlete but especially when you get older. Dr. Aurora has great hands and fixes me when I need an adjustment. He keeps me tuned up and has zero sales pitch. Takes my insurance and gets me in and out quick and easy. Just wanted to add the staff here is great too.

I am writing this review from my own experience with back pain and what helped me overcome it. Since the age of 21 I have had lower back problems but nothing too serious that couldn’t be fixed by taking some ibuprofen. It all started mid July after coming back from a mission trip, I started experiencing pain that radiated down my leg. At first I thought that the pain would eventually go away by itself but the pain just seemed to get worse over time. It was a stabbing sensation that started on the lower right side of my back and radiated down my leg, it had gotten to a point where the only time I didn’t feel pain was when I was asleep. The moment I woke up I was immediately met with this excruciating pain.
I knew this was not something normal and I started searching the web for answers. I read about spinal adjustments and decided to give that a try. I felt immediate relief on my first visit to the chiropractor, but the next day I was back to feeling the same pain. I only went to 4 chiropractor visits before I knew this was not the thing for me as my condition had not gotten better but worse. I got to a point where I couldn’t walk straight and I told my wife with tears in my eyes that I couldn’t cope with the pain anymore and I didn’t know what was wrong with me. She immediately started doing some research online and came back to me with something called spinal decompression. She found Dr. Aurora on Unilocal and after reading his reviews I decided to give it a try.
From the very first moment I met with Dr. Aurora I realized how passionate he was about his job and he wasn’t in it to just make money. He explained the treatment and told me that I would need to get an MRI done before I could get on the VAX-​D table. Dr. Aurora was amazing and after calling around different places, he got me in to get an MRI done the very next day when the wait time would probably have been a week or maybe two. When I got my MRI results Dr. Aurora explained to me that I had a herniated disk at the L5 — S1 level that was pinching my nerve and causing the sciatica pain down my leg. I was a perfect candidate for VAX-​D treatments and so my journey began, initially going 4x a week then dropping to 3x. Although my insurance wouldn’t pay for the treatment as it is still considered an experimental treatment, Dr. Aurora reduced my payments by half without me asking for it. I knew right there and then that Dr. Aurora was fully invested in my recovery even if it meant he had to eat the difference.
After only 4 visits the sciatica pain had disappeared and I was walking upright again and my pain level had dropped from a 8 to 5 on a scale of 0 – 10. After 9 visits my pain had centralized in my right buttock area and the pain went down to a 4. Now after 25 treatments I am almost pain free and I have my life back. Living with back pain is not fun, and I thank God every day for putting Dr. Aurora in my life. He has been great and someone I would recommend to family, friends and anyone going through the same back pain.

I have been waiting to review Dr Aurora bc I wanted to actually see if the treatment worked and kept me out of pain.
7 months ago, I felt a sharp hard pain on my lower back while playing a pick up soccer game. The pain was in my lowback and i had numbness going into my right leg. The pain was a ’10 on a scale of 0 – 10′. I could not play any sports, lift any small objects or play with my baby. I went to my family doctor who prescribed me medication and when that didn’t help he referred me for and MRI and two Epidural Injections. The first injection lasted for about a month and helped me get around BUT the second one was a ‘disaster’ causing my back to ‘give out.’ I would not recommend this type of injection to anyone. The medications and physical therapy did not help. Actually the physical therapist had me doing all these exercises that made may back looser but made the pain worse. My bulging disc was killing my mind and body i was getting depressed and was angry and annoyed all the time.
I found Dr. Aurora office and tried his VAX Spinal Decompression therapy. After the first week my symptoms started to improve throughout the treatment. In fact, my back continued to improve several months after the treatment was finished. Although I experience mild muscular or stretching pain from time to time as we increase the pressure, the nerve pain is gone and my deep pain is completely clear now. I am no longer taking any medication for my back and feel back to normal and credit Dr. Aurora and his staff with helping me get back to normal and out of pain.

Having had back pain and disc issues all my life since gymnastics I have seen every doctor who is a so called back specialist. I have done every treatment and even visited the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale for my pain who recommended more injections or a new type of surgery. Both of which they said was not a permanent solution. I am here to Unilocal and to tell you that Dr. Aurora and his VAXD decompression treatment is the first solution that has helped my back pain and kept my back pain at bay for the last 6 months. My MRI showed 2 degenerated discs from gymnastics, falls and tumbles and I would get sciatica pain every few months when I was sitting more at work. After the first decompression treatment, I could really feel the stretching. Its not like the inversion tables I have at home or the chiropractic traction beds they have. It’s way smoother and much more force but it’s very gentle. It’s hard to describe. The treatment is time about 30 minutes and it is every few days and my insurance didn’t cover the entire procedure but Dr. Aurora is in my network so that helped. After the 1^st week my sciatica started to decrease and my morning back pain was noticeably better. But everyone was commenting how I looked straighter and was walking taller. I guess I had a hunch back for years and never knew it. After the 4^th week my pain was gone and I was picking up my kids no pain whatsoever!!! Its been 4 months since my last treatment and I am still pain free. The treatment has changed my life and my families life. I can’t recommend Dr. Aurora and his office more highly. Dr. Aurora has been a godsend for me. I was referred to him by a neighbor of mine who had severe back problems and was greatly helped by him.
Prior to seeing Dr. Aurora I was having severe pain in my left arm and was losing muscle mass in my left tricep and pec muscles.(Pain level 9 on a 1 – 10 scale– popping pain killers and muscle relaxers all day every day just to function in my job) After an injection in my spinal area by one doctor didn’t work he referred me to another doctor, a surgeon, who recommended major surgery to replace discs in the cervical area of my spine to correct the problem. The problem is I didn’t want to have a major surgery so I decided to try treating with Dr. Aurora because of my down– the– street neighbors success with him.
After treating for 2 weeks on the decompression table my pain level had dropped to 3. Strength started returning to my left arm and chest. After about 2 months of treatment the pain was barely noticeable and my life had returned to normal again. I’m extremely happy to have met and been treated by Dr. Aurora, he really has a passion for helping people with back and disc problems. And that’s why he gets the 5 STARS!
I referred a friend of mine from work who had severe pain running down the back of his leg caused again by disc problems in his lower back and he helped him as well. He’s a great alternative to back surgery.

No more headaches or neck pain! Dr Aurora helped my neck issues that were bugging me for the last few months and my headaches are gone now. His adjustments are gentle and his plan was easy to follow. He spent some time massaging the muscles and warming up my shoulders which helped. He is now treating my son for his headaches. No-​nonsense chiro without the fluff. Did not take my insurance but was affordable. Nice clean office, friendly staff and easy location for me too!

I met Dr. Aurora at the Vegas airport last year, coincidentally, I lifted a large suitcase hurt my back. I went to my chiropractor in Pleasanton for a few months I did his «so-​called» decompression therapy protocol but nothing worked. It cost me about $ 3800 and I was pretty depressed bc after the first 5 visits, i could tell it really wasn’t helping. But i had pre-​paid the entire amount and he kept telling me it takes time. Well after 20 visits i was still in pain and really upset about the money and time i wasted. He told me i needed surgery. That scared me.
I ended up going to physical therapy bc my mom know this PT, so went for three weeks of stretching and excerses and it made the problem worse and I didn’t know what to do. I remember Dr. Aurora telling me that he did decompression therapy and just on a hunch I googled him and called hem one afternoon. I explained to him my story and he told me to come in with my films no charge. Cool!
I went in to talk to him so he could look at the MRIs together. I actually brought my mom this time bc i was kind of nervous about going alone. Dr. A is so nice and calm. He was very friendly and professional. We saw the bulging discs. I told him I done decompression therapy and it didn’t work and asked me what table that they used. I didn’t know the table so we looked online and he actually told me that that wasn’t a real decompression table but that was a traction table and that’s why it didn’t work.
To be honest at that point I wasn’t really sure what to believe and I was really unsure whether or not I wanted to try. Dr. A. could see that I was very apprehensive and actually told me to go on the table no charge. He said if I didn’t feel any different I wouldn’t have to pay. I’m pretty glad that actually took him up on his offer because after the first visit, my mom asked me how the pain was and i told him it went from a 8 out of 10 to a 4 out of 10. WOW! I knew the VAXD table was completely REAL than the other table. It’s been four weeks I’ve been on his VAXD the table 12 times and actually have no more pain anymore. My numbness and tingling is gone I can move I can sit I can drive I can walk everything is good again!
Dr. A also let me pay per visit which was pretty re-​assuring. No heavy pressure and i was really nervous about the cost. I would recommend Dr. A. based on my experience if you’ve done decompression therapy and it didn’t work maybe you didn’t go to the right decompression table.

I came here because of Dr. Aurora’s Unilocal reviews and can report that his approach was refreshing and successful for me. When a bulging disc 2 years ago caused so much pain I resigned myself to a sedentary lifestyle. I was very depressed and lost a lot of muscle and gained weight. I began popping motrin every few hours and got pretty depressed. I heard so many bad things about back surgery, that I was reluctant to try it.
Then I heard about spinal decompression. I researched it and checked out a few websites and a few different locations. I felt conformable with Dr. Aurora and his data driven approach. He is smart and direct and didn’t sugar coat the seriousness of my situation but didn’t try to sell me anything. I did the vaxd treatments and am in no pain anymore I am happy to report after 4 weeks.
On a personal note… I have always been very skeptical of doctors and probably because you can too many different answers form too many different people. But Dr. Aurora is great IMO. He spent time with me and my family patiently weighing our options and letting us decide rather than the hard sell we experienced at the other decompression clinics.

I have long suffered from headaches and constant neck pain. Being that my chiropractor is in Castro Valley, I was looking for something a little closer to home in Pleasanton. I have know Dr. Aurora for a few years and knew of his line of work. He was very concerned with my level of pain, the lack of flexibility in my neck and my bound up back muscles. He took the time to loosen up my upper back and neck then proceeded with an adjustment. WOW did I need that. I immediately felt relief in my back and neck and the flexibility is much improved. I would recommend Dr. Aurora for his high level of expertise and care for his patients.

I had plantar fasciitis pain in my foot and was in constant pain. I was unable to walk or run even a few blocks. My friend recommended Dr. Aurora bc he fixed her feet a few years ago so I made an appointment.
Whoa! So I am not going sugar coat it. The treatment was 15 minutes of complete torturous agony. The treatments are basically removing the scar tissue and its very painful. And to let u know I was planning on canceling the next appointment but the next morning I had way less pain. Unbelievable … I can now say I have been pain free for 4 weeks. Running and walking no problem. Dr. Aurora is cool.

Dr. Aurora is Unilocal-​worthy. I have had severe low back pain for years and have been to other chiropractors, but have only found very temporary relief until I started treatments with Dr. Aurora.
I was very apprehensive on my first visit, I didn’t want to make things worse and was doubtful that anything was going to work. Dr. Aurora was very patient with me and took time to answer all my questions. He didn’t try to «sell» me and he provided me the research which seemed to indicate that this method might really be effective. He explained why the chiropractic treatments i had tried previously did not work, so I decided to give it a shot.
I have been on the VAX table about 11 times and from the very first time I felt relief as the pressure on my discs was released. it was a wow movement for sure after years of suffering. My MRI showed multiple degenerated discs and two bulging discs, so it is severe enough that it will take time to heal, but I am improving with each pull. I am walking much better and my pain level is significantly reduced. Being out of pain has made a huge difference on my mood now that I can be more active.
Kudos to Dr. Aurora also for being so kind and caring. He takes my pain seriously and is sincerely invested in seeing that I improve. He also has a pretty great bedside manner too, and keeps me laughing, so I’m giving him 5 stars.

I’ve been working on espresso machines for over ten years and manage a business and and am constantly on my feet or driving in my car sometimes 7 days a week driving 50 plus thousand miles a year. I was diagnosed with a slipped disc in my back and a pinched nerve in my right leg giving me this horrible sciatica. I couldn’t walk without stooping, I couldn’t sleep a wink, and I was in constant pain. I was loaded up on painkillers bc I had to work. There was no other option except to work. I started googling and saw «spinal decompression» scheduled with a doc in San Francisco and was immediately turned off by the used car sales pitch. I left and never went back.
I lived with the constant pain for another couple weeks until one evening i couldn’t take it anymore. Googled and saw Dr. Aurora’s website, called that evening, left a message and then showed up the next moring at his office door. I had my MRI, we went through the films together and crawled on to the VAXD table. I immediately felt something different. I can’t tell you I felt great after the first pull like other people but I DEFINITELY felt something different. I went home with hope and came back for another treatment the next day. Dr. Aurora could tell how much pain i was in and actually scheduled me Saturday and Sunday.
After 6 treatments, I started to feel more movement and more of my pain was gone. The sciatica was moving up my leg and the pain was also way less. After 19 treatments I was back at work pain free and everyone was pretty surprised because they all watched as i walked around limping and bending over awkwardly in pain. I cant thank him enough for not being a sales guy and just being a kind and dedicated person.

I have searched for a solution to my back pain for 2 years now after a car accident. I tried a chiropractor in Pleasanton for a 6 months with minimal results, massage seemed to help while i was being worked on but when i got up off the table, the pain came right back. I was referred for physical therapy for my pain and prescribed a round of muscle relaxants. The physical therapy actually made my problem worse and the drugs were not my cup of tea. The Kaiser docs were nice but no one seemed to understand my pain.
I met Dr. Aurora thru a family friend and he recommended getting an MRI to see the if there was a disc injury. After jumping through the hoops at Kaiser to get an MRI, the radiologist confirmed a bulging disc in my back that was pinching a nerve. Kaiser recommended more drugs and physical therapy. I was like forget that and got Dr. A’s number from my friend. I started the decompression treatment the following week and I am so happy now.
The stretches on the vaxd table feel like exactly what is needed down there. I can actually feel like the little discs are getting stretched. After 11 visits, my pain is nearly gone and my sciatica has gone from my toes and sometimes into my butt area. But its less and less every treatment.
The only thing i was disappointed that my insurance didn’t cover the treatments. Minus one star for that but not really his fault. Thank you so much.

Getting sciatica treatment here. Definitely need to know about this. I’ve been pushed and prodded. Seen physical therapists, chiropractors and done handfuls of advil and recommended needle injection. No bueno.
Met dr. A at the apple store and showed me his website. referred me for an MRI. Confirmed bulging disc… fifth visit on his vaxd table. Sciatica pain is way down and back pain is almost gone. Moving better than ever. Wow!

I’m so happy to finally find a great chiropractor in Pleasanton close to my work and home.
Working in an office behind a computer all day has recently caused tension and muscle pain in my neck and shoulders. When I first came to see Dr. Aurora I was taking pain medication daily but continued to experience discomfort. Not only was I having difficulty performing my job and I was also not able to enjoy physical activities like cycling, running or golfing. The pain also affected my sleeping because I would need to constantly reposition my body due to discomfort.
Dr. Aurora had helped reduce many of my symptoms through chiropractic and deep tissue massage. After my first few treatments I noticed a big difference. With deep tissue massage, he was able to find the knots that were triggering most of my pain. Dr. Aurora listens to my specific issues and is able explain what is wrong and then use his expertise and knowledge to eliminate my pain. After leaving his office my neck has more mobility and the muscles are more relaxed. Since coming to see Dr. Aurora I feel wonderful and I would recommend him to anyone with neck or back pain!
