Homewood Suites Columbus/Dublin

I stay at hilton hotels for business and I usually look forward to staying at a homewood suites.
This particular hotel is ok at best. The management seems like they are cutting back on cost and skipping out on all the small amenities that make Homewwod suites better than other hotels.
Most Homewood suites have a large breakfast and dinner during the weekdays. The breakfast here is as Unimpressive is it gets and the dinner tonight consisted of chips and cheese. There have also been a constant smell of Indian food. Overall just not impressed at all. I will admit staff seem very friendly.

Upon check-​in, they didn’t have Hilton Honors number attached with my reservation (yet this was on my printed itinerary when booked online). Bathroom smelled of cigarettes and there was a paper towel shoved in the peep hole of the door. The lampshade to the right of the bed was tilted, which made me question if the room was even cleaned. I usually stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Grove City which is 10x’s cleaner and more modernized. However, I had selected this hotel based on online reviews, Hilton brand, and location within Dublin, OH. The staff was friendly, but I will most definitely not be returning as I believe this location is franchised and not related to Hilton. Had the company not been paying for my stay, I would be asking for my money back. So gross.

This is not really a ‘hotel’ but more a studio apartment complex. Be ready for bikes in the hallways, Indian cooking smells and ‘privacy or shhhh’ signs on every ‘room’. As a single female I don’t feel safe here with the elevator broken and pot smells billowing around me. The pool has been converted to a basketball court. On the way to my room in the working back elevator I road up with a women with 3 bags of groceries. I gave this place 2 stars because it’s been newly decorated. They really tried hard but as I write this kids are running the hallways and my TV that is fixed to the dresser won’t move and is blocked by the drapes. I am not a happy camper and will not be staying here again.

I am a business traveler. I stay at hotels most weeks of the year, many of them Hilton brand hotels. I went down to reception to inquiring about charging my credit card that day for the nights I had stayed up until that point. I was told it would be no problem. The clerk took some time trying to figure it out, but did eventually advise me that it was done. At the same time I also mentioned that I paid for high speed internet the previous Friday and that it was not high speed, in fact it was about half as fast as the free internet. She rudely asked me why I paid for internet if they offer free internet. I advised because it said premium high speed and I wanted a fast connection. She advised that it had not posted to my bill yet, but she would leave a note for the next day to have someone remove it when it did post.
I took the receipt she gave me and headed to my room. When I got to my room I noticed the typical daily breakdown of room rate plus taxes on the first six nights. On the current date it showed a charge of $ 611.00 for one night stay. I assumed this figure was the total for the remaining five nights I had yet to stay.
On Monday evening I went down to reception and asked about the charges. I was advised by both of the women at the desk that the manager was not in and that perhaps Jazmine could help me when she returned to work on Wednesday. I advised that I could not wait until Wednesday and that I preferred to speak with management. Both women were polite, but not helpful. I was given a business card for the manager and advised he would be in in the morning.
On Tuesday morning I went to reception and asked for Jeff, the manager. I was advised he would be right out. After waiting for several minutes he did not come out to speak with me. I had prior engagements with a client and needed to be on my way, so I left without speaking with him. On Wednesday morning I again asked for Jeff. Jazmine was working the desk. She went to the back to get him. When she returned she advised that she could help me. I politely told her that I preferred to speak with Jeff. She told me he was getting ready to leave and did not have time.
Jazmine asked me my room number and when I gave it to her she said, umm hmm, I remember, you asked me to do this. I explained to her that I had not, I asked to be charged for the nights I had stayed, making it easier to break it up for reimbursement from my company. She argued with me, saying that I had told her wrong and this is why she did this. I again told her that I do this regularly at Hilton brand hotels and it has never before been an issue. She then said I was charged after we spoke because of a midnight audit. I advised her that this was not the case, the receipt clearly showed I was charged prior to midnight, at the time we spoke on Sunday. She once again told me that’s what I asked for. I told her again that is not what I asked for. Jazmine had been speaking in a very rude tone to me and kept insisting this was my doing. Not only is the untrue, but it unacceptable for her to have taken any attitude toward me. She then printed the receipt and showed me where I was charged. I advised her that I saw the charge and this is what lead me to inquire about it to begin with. I then asked to stop speaking so rudely with me, I was only trying to rectify a situation. She told me, very nicely, that she was not being rude. I advised her that I needed each line item to reflect one night’s stay, that my company would not pay me back for what appeared be one night at $ 611.00. She told me again, and back with her very rude tone, that that is what I asked, then she quickly stated or what I supposedly asked and how she took it. Throughout the conversation Jazmine never took responsibility for anything and continued to talk down to me. I advised her that I would take the situation up with Hilton Corporate since I had tried three times to let the hotel staff correct the problem.
This is not my only problem with the hotel. I also wanted to speak with Jeff about the cleanliness of my room. When I arrived the top of the refrigerator was very dusty. There was splatter (coffee or wine presumably) on the walls in the kitchenette area. I cleaned the refrigerator and the walls. Housekeeping would come in daily, though the kitchenette area never appeared to have been moped, my floor not vacuumed and the bathtub not cleaned. On Sunday, I cleaned my own floors and bathroom as it was unacceptable.
It’s been over a month and management from the hotel will not contact me. Hilton Corporate has been little to no help.

I stayed here several times in 2014. This is a nice new hotel, and convenient if you are going to OSU.
Just beware of the «free food». Some things, like the spring rolls, are not fit for man or beast they were so full of grease. I also think there should be some sort of law as they should not call what they serve at breakfast eggs.

After getting settled in and then checking out the property, I’ll have to admit this is pretty nice!
The suite is large enough for me — not too excited about the two full size beds — not many people use full size beds these days, but I’m alone so it doesn’t matter much. Would have been nice to have one king size though in the place of these two. The pillow were great — two body pillows and then two others on each bed — so I found a favorite!
Cleanliness seems to be good and the little extras are nice: shampoo, conditioner, various bar soaps are all Neutrogena products, mouthwash, dish soap and plenty of towels. The small kitchenette was not stocked real well, but I am alone and didn’t need much anyhow.
Pricing and parking were both good too — pricing a bit better then parking as it’s hard to figure out where to park in relation to your room. However, there are plenty of placed to eat around here and many are within walking distance. Plus there is free breakfast and Tuesday and Wednesday they were even providing free dinner and that included a very small fee for alcohol drinks — beer, wine and mixed!
The swimming pool was clean, but pretty cold and the hot tub was covered — not sure why. The lobby where the food is served was spacious and comfortable and the staff that I dealt with all seemed to be attentive.
Though I”m giving it four stars — I’d only stay here again if I couldn’t get into a Marriott property nearby — I’m a Marriott Rewards person who has more points there then at Hilton Properties — but this is certainly a second choice. Just not enough yet to sway me to go Hilton as my first choice!

We always stay here when we’re in town visiting the Columbus Zoo. The hotel rooms are always clean, staff is friendly and my kids, ages 9 & 4, love the indoor pool. We typically stay in one of the suites that is a perfect size for a family of 4. We also enjoy the complimentary breakfast. There’s always enough parking and the grounds are clean, well-​kept and very quiet.

Decently priced. Stayed here 2 nights while at Irish fest. We do every year actually. Staff very friendly. Rooms clean. Only gripe is that its kind of in the middle of nowhere and they have no shuttle to the Irish fest! By the looks of the people waiting for cabs fest goes DO stay here! We waited forever for cabs on way there and on way back and it seemed every other hotel in area had a shuttle. And we all know what Irish people do at festivals and im not getting behind the wheel after that!

These guys are great. I get cute little notes where their housekeeping staff updates me on where they went above and beyond the call to keep me comfy and cozy. Thanks, Diane.
Also the front desk staff are absolutely a delight. Even when my luggage showed up late afternoon while I was still at Cardinal, they took the arduous task of hauling my 49.9999 lb. bag up to my room. Thanks a million, Kara and staff.

Clean, spacious, convenient to I-​270 (and not far from I-​71 or I-​70). Checkin was very smooth, the front desk was very helpful on a key re-​mag.
They have an average breakfast and evening «welcome» buffet. Parking is a little limited, but sufficient.
A solid recommendation.
