My fiancé took me to the Diamond Cellar.
We met with Steve.
I told him what I like and want.
He showed me just that.
He made me just that.
And I got it.
An engagement ring is special and sacred to every lady and the amount of attention that I received, the attention to detail, the education given, the facts known and unknown of rings and diamonds, to the «Oooo’s and Aaaa’s’, to the back and forth, to every thing possible that a newly engaged couple experiences, the family of the Diamond Cellar took care of it all. They were present in every step, were amazingly courteous, generous, knowledgeable, down to earth, humble and so very attentive — that is great customer service.
I love what I got and I can’t wait for that ring to be on my finger.

I don’t buy jewelry very often. There are so many places available to purchase jewelry … from various chain department stores, the internet, to mall locations and professional, fine jewelry retailers. For me, it was confusing and overwhelming. I was looking for really nice ring. It’s an investment and one wants to be sure you are getting quality for an appropriate and good price. I did some homework before hand, but ultimately landed on visiting The Diamond Cellar. I was worried that they would be far from my price point, but was quite pleased they offer a good range for fine jewelry at varying price points. I learned a lot through the process and have fun doing it.
I like that Diamond Cellar is a family owned business. I was even more impressed after reading about their company culture and local community commitment. Every time I have visited, I was greeted by their receptionist who has been helpful. She directed me to what I was looking for. The personnel here work as a team, offering assistance without being overbearing and frequently offered something to drink while I was waiting. I felt like a valued customer from the onset. They spent time answering all my questions and made me aware of things to consider about the jewelry that was choosing between. They were clear and helpful in understanding custom options and policies on resizing and returns. As the ring was a gift, I did need to have it resized later. The process went quite smoothly and happened quicker than I anticipated. I am quite pleased with my overall experience and the ring.

My boyfriend wanted to take me shopping to browse the style of engagement rings that I liked… About 5 years ago, I worked in a jewelry store, so I kind of knew what I was looking for, but I’m not going to turn down getting to try on rings!
We went in here with a stone given to me by a family member, so I asked if they did trade-​ins. The salesman said they did, but that they won’t even tell me what they’ll give me for a stone until I pick a ring out and commit to buying it… What the crap?
So then, we tell him our budget is 5−8k for an engagement ring… I don’t think I’m delusional when I say that that’s a lot of money… He showed me some rings that were color I-​J. I told him this is not the color of a stone that I’m looking for at all, they’re way to yellow. He kind of scoffed at me and said that this is what I get at my price point.
HA!
So then, I ask if he has any bezel set mounts. The douche literally laughs and said, maybe if this was the 90s… That’s not the style now I would assume since you used to work in jewelry you would know that? WHAT THE CRAP, AGAIN?! First of all, pear shaped and marquis stones aren’t in style anymore and people still sell them?!
I wanted to leave the store, but my bf wanted to ask a few more questions. I saw another mount that I liked, and pointed at it, and the salesman said — Oh, you can’t afford that… But you could always get it and put a CZ in a your enter stone?
I literally walked out.
Do not give this place your money.
The margins on jewelry is unreal, you should be receiving stellar service with your purchase.

I recently called and asked if I could bring my Omega Planet Ocean in to get sent off for service and the service person said no problem. I walked into the store today to have a battery changed on another watch and have my Omega sent in and the sales person looked at me like I had two heads. «We don’t work with Omega, maybe try Jared or some place similar» I explained that I called and that someone said no problem — once again the two headed stare. He said it is wasn’t worth their time /​well I am sorry this place might carry high end watches and jewelry, but if this sales person was any indication this isn’t worth your time. If your are looking for a high end watch — save your time and buy it somewhere else in Columbus or wait for your next trip to NYC or Chicago.

An amazing store filled with amazing jewelry and watch brands. Patek Philippe, Rolex, Tudor, you name it and they will probably have it. I’m in love with a white Patek. It’s pricey but hoping maybe one day. Christmas wish list???
They are having an event this weekend and a lot of the merchandise is 25% off. It’s definitely worth it if you’re in the market for some diamonds because the savings add up! They carry super $$$$$$$ to $.
Super nice helpful people will answer all your questions and show you what you want. They’re doing something right since they’ve been around since the 1940’s.

Steve Remias exemplified 5 star service. He was able to find the perfect engagement ring for both my and, most importantly of course, my fiancée’s needs. I give him highest recommendation — he is absolutely the man to see.

I wanted to go to the Diamond Cellar because I had heard nothing but great things, and they are one of the only places in Columbus that carries men’s David Yurman wedding bands. My fiancée and I went on Saturday, March 28^th. The woman at the reception desk was more than pleasant, invited us in, and told us that someone would be with us shortly. That’s where the pleasantries ended.
I’d like to tell you the name of the gentleman who assisted us, but he never told us. He never asked for mine or my fiancée’s, either. He showed us their selection of David Yurman bands, which included the rings that I wanted to see, though not in the size or metal that I wanted. I had to ask the gentleman to size me, at which point he acted annoyed while he slid me a case of sample sizing rings. I picked out the ring that I wanted, and told him that I wanted it in sterling silver, rather than the gold he had in the case. He told me that David Yurman didn’t make that band in silver, which I knew was incorrect because I’d researched these rings for several months before coming to the store.
After I told him that I knew DY made those rings in sterling, he told me that they had been discontinued. He told me that they may be able to find one, or one of the other ones that I’d liked, but that it would take at least 3 months before they got it in my size. I asked him to look into it for me, and he told me he would. He finally took my name, and told me he’d call me today (Monday). Surprise, surprise, I never got a call. Good news is, I was so disappointed in my treatment and service that I wouldn’t have gotten my ring through the Diamond Cellar if they told me they’d give it to me for free.
I came home, went to
and found the ring I wanted – in the metal I wanted – because it wasn’t discontinued as I was lead to believe. They’re shipping it to me free of charge, and I’ll have my ring by this Thursday.
Needless to say, I’ll never go back to the Diamond Cellar. I’d like to thank them for sizing me for my wedding ring, and for the lesson that just because you go somewhere to buy high-​end jewelry doesn’t mean that you’ll be treated with good customer service…

Was sent upstairs by the receptionist to look for a ring wrap. Noone was paged. Stood for 20 minutes without help. was told to go back downstairs by a vendor and we let the receptionist know we weren’t helped. she said saorrryyy. she obviously didn’t care. In addition to that we never did find what we were looking for there and the receptionist was clueless.

FYI– this is my first review of any kind, ever! Which shows how annoyed I am.
I ordered my boyfriend a new paneri watch strap as his last one broke. I took in the old strap on December 3, 2014 & went over the books with the sales woman, Inna, who was a bit confused. Thank God for Ed, he knows what he’s talking about and helped us greatly. Inna accidently ordered the wrong strap– which was to be in before Christmas but didn’t come in until the end of January… Their ordering process for this is a bit confusing so I was understandable as to how a mistake can be made. However, as a sales associate if you are unsure of something even after the order was given to you correctly (by Ed), ask for help!
I go back in to return the strap and get the correct one. The manager Ken was not very knowledgeable about what to do to correct the wrong and how to get the right strap. Again, thank God for Ed. I would give Ed 10 stars. I feel as if he is the only one that truly knows what he is doing while being so kind and helpful. Ed straightened it out for me yet it is now February 20^th and still no strap. I called two days ago to check on the strap and the manager, Gina, said she had to call me back when she knew something. Moral of the story– i will never buy from them again. For anything. I will relay the message to not order from them to everyone I know. I would have had better luck ordering the strap from elsewhere via the phone or during a trip. I try to support local businesses but will no longer support this one. Again– ED IS GREAT!

My husband and I stopped here to look for potential upgrades of my wedding ring and the receptionist was very friendly and directed us to go upstairs to where the wedding rings were located. We went upstairs, there were few customers scattered throughout the top floor and two employees without any customers along with another employee that was going in and out of what looked like a backroom. Not once were we greeted or even acknowledged. My husband and I looked around the whole wedding section and regardless of if I met eyes with the employees, they did not say a single hello to me.
Even if I found a ring that I absolutely loved, I will not be returning to this business. I do not need to give business to a business that simply is not even interested in my business.

This year, I bought my engagement and wedding rings from Diamond Cellar. The experience was amazing. Nick helped me with every step. I had no idea what I wanted, but he quickly cleared that up. I feel like I just gave him a few keywords about my partner and me, and the next thing I new my email inbox had about 15 thoughtful suggestions with pictures. I was able to narrow it down from there after a few weeks, during which he was very patient. The thing that really blew me away was when the bands arrived, the inscription that I had off-​handedly mentioned to Nick months earlier was there. I had forgotten about that idea, but he hadn’t. AMAZING attention to detail and your customer!
Beyond that, the store is beautiful and HUGE, with an amazing selection of everything. Also, every time I walked in, I was greeted warmly, and everyone was always smiling. Very inviting.

Great people here! Very knowledgeable about any and all things having to do with jewelry. I find it refreshing that this establishment is still family owned and operated. The workers are all so pleasant, and know their stuff!
I will continue to do business with this joint, in the future!

My fiancé and I went into the DC due to a special event we had heard advertised on the radio for wedding specials that weekend, so we decided to try it out for kicks.
We are both wishing we hadn’t now.
The experience for me was a bit lack luster as there was nothing I enjoyed there, however, my fiancé did find two rings he really enjoyed. One for roughly $ 400 or so and one for what ended up being $ 1400. Per what I expected, our sales lady sold that more expensive ring like none other. She was good, really good. It was a unique ring from a company in Germany and it did work great for my fiancé. The claim that the other ring would «break easily» is a bit of BS now that we have talked to many people, but we were taken by what we thought was a very honest and open person. So we believed her. And due to my fiances job it just seemed so reasonable at the time. Not to mention not many stores sold this other ring and its smooth design was more unique than what we had viewed thusfar.
So the major downside to this «unique» ring was that it had to be «special» ordered and we needed to make sure we had the right size or «It would be $ 100» to get it resized. Well it would have been great if the sales associate entered in the correct size (which she did admit to having trouble with the computer when we were checking out). By the time we finally were able to pick it up my fiancé found out an 8 had been ordered instead of the 9 (which he was sized for AT the store and the claim was made that it was winter, well he was wearing gloves inside… the whole time) and it needed to be sent back to be resized. Well it has and now it is another $ 400!!!
Of course there was no call with an estimate confirming this price was okay before doing the work and of course being trusting back when we bought the ring we didn’t get that $ 100 for a resize in writing.
So now we have a wedding band to pick up and pay another $ 400 for this week that we hate because of how much we have been fooled by this store. Never again will we shop here. Yes, that sales associate did her job exactly well: she made the sale and she was personable so we were comfortable and we trusted what she was doing. But we shouldn’t be faulted for something like this.
Never again.

I follow Daniel Gordon on several social media sites and saw he posted a pic on Facebook of a beautiful Tag Heuer that was for sale. I had been thinking about buying my husband a watch for Fathers Day, as his has been broken for some time now. I messaged Daniel to get the specifics on the watch (since I live out of state) and decided to purchase it — without ever seeing it in person.
I received the watch yesterday and it is perfect! It’s exactly what I have been looking for and I can’t wait to give it to my husband.
Daniel & the Diamond Cellar crew have been nothing but amazing to work with. I would definitely recommend Daniel for any jewelry purchases you may be considering.

He helped my husband custom make my engagement ring (which sadly I lost before our move to California in march 2013)…
Then of course we came back for the wedding band…
I have been back several times to him to get it cleaned & re-​dipped and have had a pleasant experience every single time!
I didn’t realize 18ct white gold is more fragile & picks up on my skins acidity, turning it gold fairly quickly (even without wearing it while soapin & shampooin up daily)… Something to take into consideration, ladies!
Ask for Ed & tell him HI for us!

The Diamond Cellar provided us excellent customer service from halfway across the country. Dan Gordon has been taking care of my family’s jewelry needs for quite a long time and this transaction, our first with him since he moved to the Diamond Cellar, went without a hitch. We will definitely continue to use Dan’s professional advice and services, and the Diamond Cellar does an excellent job of supporting him in this.

Not interested. I have been to Diamond Cellar in the past and actually purchased a Rolex and some other jewelry.
Today I went to get a different watch I had fixed. Was there for 30 minutes and no none (other than the young girl at the door) said anything to me… all the big time sales personnel were too busy talking to each other to help me. I swear, not even a «hi» or «hello».
Finally, I just left. I don’t think I’ll return. It’s like they were doing ME the favor.

Excellent customer service and selection. My fiancé recently bought my engagement ring from here. Prior to visiting Diamond Cellar, my fiancé had visited several local stores. In his opinion, these other stores were good, but were lacking in knowledge, selection, and helpfulness. For example, my fiancé had acquired a line of credit from another store. Diamond Cellar and the salesperson, John, were happy to take that alternate line of credit for use at the Diamond Cellar. Additionally, John helped my fiancé customize the most ideal ring for me, assisting with the selection of the stone, the setting, and the style of the band. Throughout the entire process, John also educated my fiancé about fine jewelry in general. This jewelry store might end up being my go-​to place because the jewelers here help you maintain your other fine jewelry, repair it, and customize new pieces.

My girlfriend and I spent the whole Sunday afternoon shopping for engagement rings so I could get an idea of what she likes. I’m sure it’s not true for every sales person who works here, but the guy that we spoke to was such a sleaze bag jerk to me that we walked out. My girlfriend and I were discussing which rings she loved, liked, and didn’t like. The salesman then butted his way into our private convo and told me that I «need to ease up and let her figure it out on her own. She’ll tell you what she loves when she see’s it!» I have never been more offended and belittled in my life. After we walked out I was so worried bc I was afraid I had done something wrong, but even she was offended and assured me I had done absolutely nothing wrong.
I decided not to come back and look at other ring options even after I decided to bump up my budget by $ 10,000 more. Maybe I wasn’t spending enough for him to feel I was worth his time. I wish I could remember his name, but it was a couple months ago. I went to Jared instead and have had great service from Lisa. Just a tip to the woman from DC who will prob respond to this… You might want to tell your sales people that its never a good idea to belittle a man who is ready to drop $ 20,000 in your store in from of his girlfriend. Too little, too late!

Pricey, but worth it. If you’re looking for high quality jewelry or watches, you can’t go wrong here.
I have had a Breitling watch bracelet resized and my Tag-​Heuer Carrera repaired here. The work and service was top notch. I won’t be taking my watches anywhere else.
