My very first appointment at Blossoms was great. I found my dress (which I love) and was very pleased with the service.
Months later, when my dress arrived, things went downhill very quickly. I made an appointment for my first fitting/​alterations appointment and asked if I could bring my bridesmaids along to do some dress shopping for them as well. I was told that this would not be a problem. Our appointment was for the very first time slot on a Saturday.
My appointment rolls around and we arrive a few minutes early, ready to have a fun and exciting day. We walk in and up to the counter to check in. The girl at the counter confirmed my name and asked us to sit saying someone would be with us shortly. I confirmed with her then that I also have my bridesmaids there to shop and try on dresses. She said yes.
After about 15 minutes with nobody helping us I approached her again asking if we can look at some bridesmaid dresses while we wait for my dress to be brought out. She pointed to where they were and left us to browse. Another 15 – 20 minutes had gone by, in that time we had browsed the entire selection and returned to our seats with a couple dresses in hand and were still waiting. Also while we were browsing I had two separate consultants approach my group to confirm the brides name as they seemed to be having a hard time finding my dress. We were sitting for another 10 – 15 minutes before they brought my dress to me. So it has now been close to an hour and my dress is finally brought out. The girl from the front brought it into the room and placed it on the hanger, then walked out and said if I need anything else to let her know. She did not stay to help me into my dress, my sister had to do that for me. Once I was in the dress we waited again for 15 minutes before the alterations person came over. (As it’s been over an hour with horrible customer service, my group’s patience along with my own was wearing incredibly thin.) I have an unusual request for my dress in that I want a colored underskirt to go along with my wedding colors. When I told this to the seamstress, she just looked at me and said «why?» not in a curious way but rather a why would anyone ever want that way. She also told me that altering my dress would be a lot of work and that I should just gain a little weight before the wedding. That is not anything any bride or human being wants to hear. Once she had the dress pinned everyone in our group was ready to go. It was lunch time and we had been suffering through horrible service for hours. I had to make a follow up appointment for the next fitting and they recommended I come 8 months later since this was their busy season. I reluctantly agreed since I just wanted to be out of the store.
As we were walking out, the owner came running out after us asking what was wrong. We explained the situation and told her we would be leaving now. She asked my name again and told me to make all future appointments with her directly. Once we were finally driving away I immediately got 3 texts from the owner where she called me the wrong name followed by a voicemail.
It was not even a busy day in the salon. There were maybe 4 other customers while we were there. The owner says that it is busy prom season but I think that is something they should account for when scheduling appointments. They should also take into account that brides are spending huge amounts of money on their dresses and alterations and the service they provide should reflect that.
After waiting a week or so I decided to write them an email to tell them my concerns. I shared all of the information above and asked if there was any way they could compensate for the service we received. I waited a week and received no response. My sister called the salon after that and had to leave a message to ask that they check their email. After 5 days with no response via phone or email my sister called again. She ended up speaking with the owner who claimed to have no idea what she was talking about.
Ultimately I decided to take my dress to have it be altered elsewhere. When I was walking out with my dress the owner said to me «Have a good prom day.» …
Since picking up my dress I have received about 5 emails asking for a review. I looked at the Unilocal page and at the owners responses to negative reviews and felt the need to share my experience. There is no excuse for the service I received or for the lack of acknowledgement on their part. While I am happy with the dress I chose I wish I had gotten it elsewhere.

I live in stockton but couldnt find anything for our girls. We bought both of my daughter’s prom dresses in 2012 and 2014. Everything went perfect both girls looked beautiful and will be back for their weddings.

Great service and my daughter can always find what she needs here. I recommend Blossoms for any occasion. My daughter purchased her junior prom dress here last year and senior ball dress this year.

Love coming to this store! Has the best selection in the Bay Area… for my daughters prom we looked from SF to Walnut Creek to San Jose, but came back to Blossoms to buy. The staff & owner, Katie, are friendly, helpful & patient. And truthful & honest too. Had previously bought 2 other dresses from Blossoms a couple years ago & that experience was terrific too. Highly recommend this dress boutique whether you’re looking for prom dress, special occasion, mother of bride/​groom or wedding gown — you’re taken care of & made to feel special no matter your budget!

I came here just to look and ended up buying my wedding dress from here! It was a floor sample and I got it for a great deal! I did all my alterations here as well. Everything was exactly how I wanted it and they met every fitting deadline. My sample dress was a size 10 and they brought it to a size 2 so perfectly, it fit like a glove that you wouldn’t ever suspect that! We also added some veil & bling to cover the bust area. As long as I made an appointment, I would get the attention I needed. My veil was on the pricey side, but that’s my fault for not shopping around. Everyone here was super patient and sweet. The owner was also very humble and easy to work with. I highly recommend this place.

Found a dress in a local VA bridal shop, but wanted you look online to comparison shop. Exact same dress on Blossoms website for much less! I was a little apprehensive to order from an online store in CA, but I crossed my fingers and ordered anyway. VERY HELPFUL AND PROMPT customer service, speedy shipping, overall WONDERFUL experience, and the dress was perfect! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Huge rip off! My daughter ordered a bridesmaid dress. After asking her for measurements they send the dress for alterations. She gets the dress and it is 4 sizes to big for her. When she tells them this they tell her it’s going to be a$ 130 charge to alter the dress AGAIN! You people should be ashamed of yourselves.
STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR BAD SERVICE! I am fully aware of your process! You gave my daughter a dress that was 4 sizes to big after asking her measurements! Then you tried to charge her to fix it! Just stop! Read your reviews! Get a clue!

I’ve always shopped at Blossoms for ball gowns, Katie the owner is so helpful and sweet. She tells you the truth if it’ll look good or not and how long the alterations will take due to which date you need it! I’ve gone here 2 years in a show and I am very pleased.

Stephanie was amazing! She made finding the right gown so easy! She’s high energy and knows her stuff! She answered all questions with ease and she was nothing short of fantastic when helping to try on gowns and find the right one for me! I bought my wedding dress here and had all of the alterations done as well. The only downfall is that it takes awhile to get the dress in and have the alterations done so make sure if you find your dress here, you order right away and with many months before your wedding so you’re sure to get it in time. Although my service with Stephanie was fantastic, came here again for my girlfriends wedding, which I am a bridesmaid in. She reserved the back room which is supposed to be private. They were running 30 mins late and in the middle of our session, another bride came in and started browsing. The girl who was helping us (can’t remember her name) said nothing so I had to tell the woman this was a private session and she can come back to look later. She kept shopping and the attendant still said nothing. She eventually left but I would have expected the attendant to say something as well. Overall a good experience and they have a wide selection of bridal dresses, bridesmaid dresses and prom dresses.

Amazing service initially! No hoity toity vibes and genuinely great customer service interactions. My mother and I decided on my wedding dress our second visit in. After ordering the dress, it was all downhill. It took almost two months longer to get the dress than Katie originally said, and it seemed that the only reason it finally did come in was because I called. An associate helped me by leaving a message on katie’s cell phone to call and clear up something with whoever was shipping the dress to the store. (I don’t know if there was a money issue between them, or just something that needed to be confirmed). Finally, once the dress arrived and my grandmother, and mother and I made an appointment to try it on, we were greeted with very poor service, were not offered the bridal dressing area, and had to deal with a swarm of teenage prom shoppers that had their stuff everywhere. We were hoping to have a sweet moment with three generations of women, and no one seemed to care about the only actual paying customer in the shop.
Not impressed by the business operations.

Couple of reasons for the bad review:
1. Although there are many dresses, they are not high quality — rips, missing eye hooks and such… yet prices were high
2. They lacked a decent number of available sizes above size 4 (and remember, formal dress sizes run small so to wear a size 4 in a dress here means you are a size zero or 2 in casual clothes!)
3. Getting help was hard! We felt like we were bothering the worker when we wanted information or guidance.
Would NOT go back here.

I can’t speak more highly about Blossoms or their lovely owner! I rarely write reviews so you can imagine how happy I am to be motivated enough to write this. I was looking for a dress for a formal Valentine party and had searched EVERYWHERE for over a month. I wasn’t finding the right dress — from Saks to Stoneridge to Paragon to GreatMall I had spent 3 weekends to no avail. As a last resort I googled, found Blossoms and stopped by. I was amazed at the number of perfect fit dresses I found, their options are the most of any store in Bay Area! Hundreds of dresses lined the massive store. I tried on a few dresses and everyone in the store loved this one dress and the owner said «that’s your dress» They gave honest feedback on the dresses. But it was a lot more expensive than I had wanted to spend on a simple party. The owner was kind enough to discount it a bit as she wanted me to wear that dress vs the less expensive but less ideal dresses. I was really touched by her real interest in making sure I looked good at the party. As I told her Blossoms will now be my first stop when I’m looking for a nice dress!!!
It’s April 1 and we bought a dress for my 16 year old for her prom today at Blossoms! Same awesome service, great collection, found the perfect blue dress with gorgeous cut outs and beautiful work in less than 30 minutes!!!

My sister and I came here looking for a bridesmaids dress for my wedding in five months. Stephanie greeted us upon entry and showed us the bridesmaid section offering helpful information on different options then let us shop. When we were ready for a fitting room she promptly helped us as well. Stephanie was also a great help in making sure my sister got the right size dress and in ordering the dress.
Overall we had an extremely positive experience with Stephanie. I would highly recommend Stephanie and this shop.

Too bad we can’t reply to the business owners comments. The attention to detail is lacking as she addressed me in response to my review as the wrong name, never acknowledged the neglect of online contact, and didn’t understand I was there to be measured for a pre-​selected dress, not to look and find one. Just trying to save face among the other one star reviews and still could do it correctly lol!

I am writing this review as a bridesmaid, not a bride. I called them to order my dress a week ago (left a message on a Tuesday afternoon). They didn’t return my call. So over the weekend, I called again. Left another message. No call back. Called again yesterday (Monday). This time instead of leaving a message I just called over and over again until someone picked up (third time). I gave the lady my measurements over the phone, we discussed sizing, and she had a few questions about the dress and the way their sizing worked. So she was going to speak to the owner and get back to me. She told me a half an hour or so. So here I am a whole day later, no phone call again. And this is a guaranteed sale. No strings attached, please take my money so I can be in a wedding. You’d think they’d be happy to take a phone sale. It requires very little effort.

I bought my wedding dress here. When I came in to try on dresses, they were very attentive and friendly. Once I bought my dress, they continued to be friendly but were always «very busy» and it was hard to get any kind of service whenever I came in. When I showed up for my appointment for my final fitting, I was shown into a dressing room by one of the girls at the counter and handed my dress. I got into my dress and waited. and waited. I think in total I waited for about 20 minutes in that dressing room, standing in that dress. I even popped out at one point and asked one of the girls if someone was going to help me and was told, «She’ll be right there.» It wasn’t until I popped out a second time and literally flagged her down and said «Excuse me!» loudly that she came over and basically asked me, «What do you want?» Seeing how I’ve never been married before, I didn’t know what kind of alteration options there were. I didn’t know that you need to have something sewn into the skirt to pick up the train after the ceremony, and at no point did the tailor ever mention that to me. So after my ceremony, I spent the rest of my wedding day carrying around a dirty train.
My dress was gorgeous and Blossoms has a decent selection, but I definitely felt let down by them. If you’re just looking for a place to buy a dress and get out, Blossoms is fine. But if you’re looking for a more personal service to make sure your purchase comes out right, I’d recommend finding somewhere else to go.

This review is only based on my experience shopping and trying on wedding gowns at Blossoms. I did not actually end up making a purchase there. I made a call to Blossoms on a weekday morning and asked if I could go in for an appointment. They had a some openings and let me pick the time. When I showed up, I was greeted by Deanna. She was just putting away some dresses and asked me to wait a few minutes for her since she would be helping me. When she came back, she asked me some basic questions such as what type of dress I was looking for and what my budget was. She quickly started pulling dresses for me to try on. Deanna picked some great options for me to try and I liked most of the styles she had chosen for me. She spent about an hour with me and was very patient. She wasn’t pushy with the sale and took down all the information on the top dress choices I had picked.
Blossoms carries a good variety of designer wedding gowns at good prices for low to moderate budgets. They put all the gowns inside dress bags to protect them. Blossoms also has formal attire including dresses for bridesmaids, mother of the bride, prom and tuxes. I’m not 100% is the tuxes are rentals, for purchasing or both. Parking is easy in the lot and the location is convenient, right off the freeway.

I went to blossoms looking for a dress to wear for my engagement session. I called ahead to say what I was looking for and Bianca had everything ready. What was nice was as I was trying the dresses on Katie walked by and the dress that I ended up choosing she loved as well and she worked with me on the price and the alterations. It couldn’t have been more perfect. They have a great selection of evening dresses. So if that is what you are in the market for I highly suggest checking the store out. Thank you Katie!

I wish I knew that Blossoms existed when i was shopping for my prom/​ball dresses.
I went to Blossoms with my mom because we needed to each buy formal dresses for a gala. Daaaamn, we gave one of the ladies such a hard time because we literally tried on a gazillion dresses.
People are pretty picky when it comes to dresses but i’m ridiculously picky and also indecisive. I came in with no idea of what kind of dress i wanted… so I was also overwhelmed by the selection they had. Baaaaad mix. Not joking, the two times i went in, I literally tried on over 40 dresses each time. Every time I rejected a dress, the lady would line up a whole new set of dresses w/​o complaining or showing annoyance! I wish i remembered the ladies name to give her major props… sorry.
The owner also gave me super honest advice on which dress style I should look for. No sugar coating here… which in the long run, is better! I’m really sketched out by sales people flattering me/​giving me their opinion because it’s usually for their advantage, but the owner helped me pick out a dress that flattered my body shape without pressuring me to go out of my budget! Yay.
Loved how they never rushed us into a decision. I would suggest coming earlier for prom season so you don’t have to fight for the attention of a sales attendant.
They had our dresses steamed/​fixed up by the date that we asked for. Super smooth. Def will be going to Blossoms again for this year’s gala.
