Plumbridge Custom Cabinets

Bill (Plumbridge Cabinets) designed and rebuilt our kitchen and two bathrooms. Everything turned out as we had hoped and met or exceeded our expectations. We found Bill to be creative, responsive and trustworthy. He was attentive and made efforts to accommodate our needs and desires. His work nicely combines creativity and practicality. We highly recommend him and would work with him again.

Plumbridge Custom Cabinets is the best. Buck has always been so friendly and accommodating. He showed me his diagrams and computer generated cabinets so I could make any revisions and get an idea of what they would be like. Then when he found about a foot of excess space, he created a drawer with cutouts for knives, like a counter top knife block, which I thought was so creative and practical. He made sure everything was perfect and the cabinets are beautiful and so well made. I just love the new cabinets and they fit the timeframe for my 1923 California Bungalow. And he made sure he incorporate everything I wanted. I highly recommend Plumbridge Custom Cabinets. You will not be sorry if you hire Buck for your project. He treats your project as if it were going to be in his own home.

Bill understood exactly what we wanted and built the most beautiful kitchen for us. He’s also a terrific guy with a lot of pride in his workmanship. He’s made sure we’re completely happy with our kitchen and has been there immediately when we had the smallest of problems with one of our drawers. Can’t recommend him more highly. Our kitchen is the one in his pictures with the red cabinets. Any imperfection would stick out like a sore thumb — amazingly, there are none!

Spoke to a person named Bill. Guy abruptly hangs up on me after i asked if he would be able to come out and give me a quote. He said that he didn’t like wasting his time giving out design ideas. Apparently he wants customers to take a blind leap of faith and trust him without having seen the work area. My advice is for you to get some people skills before running a business.

I truly can’t say enough good things about Bill Buck and his cabinet making business Plumbridge Custom Cabinets. Bill is one of the last true craftsmen left in the cabinet making profession. He actually has a shop here in Southern California (Duarte), and is not importing his cabinets in from other countries or states. It was definitely an added bonus to be able to work within the L.A. community, and have the opportunity to give work to a local craftsman and his staff. Plus I had the added benefit of being able to journey over to his shop to check on how the cabinets were progressing, and if any quick adjustments were needed during installation, the ability to expedite the work quickly at his nearby shop. Bill was able to sit down with me, and carefully custom design all my cabinets on his CAD system. He is fun to collaborate with, has a sharp wit, and loads of creative thinking. I brought many concepts to the table (I have a background in, and knowledge of design) and we mulled over it, brainstormed, and in the end designed the perfect cabinets for all my kitchen needs. Bill also painted my cabinets in a controlled painting chamber in his shop and was able to create a finish that has been easy to clean and maintain. Bill created a flush mount door system for the cabinets which is highly desirable and added value to my kitchen design. Most cabinet co. only offer overlay cabinets, as the flush style is difficult to install-​Bill did all the installation himself with great experience and precision. His prices were fair and reasonable considering his expertise and the dedicated time and care he put into the entire project. My kitchen design and cabinets have received high praise from nearly everyone who has stepped in to see me busily «cooking up a storm.» Three friends on separate occasions all said «this kitchen is perfect, it couldn’t have been designed any better”-imagine that! We were so happy with Bill’s worked that we employed him to create a system of mahogany shelves for my husband’s office, and repair a large 1920’s pocket sliding window piano door which was quite a challenging project, but Bill was ready to take it on and came thru with flying colors!

This is one of those Unilocal-​able moments when you wish there was a zero star option.
Customer service is atrocious. I sent an email inquiring about what constitutes solid wood (entire cabinet box or just the doors), and whether their company would specify in its contract whether plywood or formica/​laminate would be used in the construction of the cabinetry. The exact and entire response of their customer service agent was: «Sorry to have to break the news, no offense intended, but … you are an idiot.»
I’m not kidding. This was their actual response to me. This is disgusting behavior and I cannot believe this company is actually able to exist with such a deplorable practice. I hope they go bankrupt.

Plumbridge outfitted our kitchen, butler’s pantry, and master bathroom with European overly cabinets in a traditional style, painted with 2 part paint. They assisted us in selecting a range exhaust fan and built a hearth surround for it. Bill B. oversaw the project and was creative at implementing and carrying out our ideas, worked with the architect’s plans, and meticulously measured to ensure accuracy of the product. His team completed an expedient and tidy installation. The cabinets have been in place for 2 ½ years and are holding up quite well. We are extremely pleased. Based on my experiences with contractors and subcontractors, working with Plumbridge was a great experience. I would recommend this shop since they are professional and do high quality work… I would use Plumbridge again.

We have been re-​doing our house slowly over the past 10 years. We have hired Plumbridge to do several jobs for us. They have made unique kitchen cabinets, shelves, a gorgeous built-​in china cabinet, and an awesome custom bathroom cabinet for us. We always get compliments on all of these.
It’s true that Bill works closely with his clients. Bill truly cares about the quality of his work and guarantees it.
We plan on using Plumbridge again in the near future.
