DELICIOUS baklava! Please go and treat yo self to a pound of baklava(~$ 10). It is amazing. I’m trying as hard as I can to not eat the whole pound right now. Really nice staff too. Update: have returned 2 more times in the last week to pick up baklava for a few parties. It’s always a hit and always so tasty. The baklava is SO amazing. Definitely try it out! I know I’ll be back :)

So very, very good! Got a lb of assorted for $ 10 and a cream roll. Every flavor was awesome. So glad I took the time to stop in while in town. Easy to find and easy parking, as its in a strip mall. Of I lived in CA I’d be back often. Hmmm… wonder if they ship?

I stopped in here on whim(even though I’ve driven by the place for 4 years! — lol). I love Baklava, but I’ve never had this style before. After ordering a pound of mixed Baklava and taking it home, I jumped right in trying the different types. This was pure heaven! So good, but I’m sure not good for me. ;) The staff here is so nice and are always looking for ways to improve their service. That alone will help insure their success! Oh, and they were just featured on Eye on LA!

Found this place while waiting for a doctors appointment with my mom. Very good and many different types of baklava that I never knew existed. A little nerve wrecking however that the inside of the store is very hot with no air conditioning. It makes me question the freshness and quality of food slightly but I did not get sick and it tasted great. I look forward to going back and snacking on the little gems.

Omg. Wow. The perfect way to start your day and the perfect dessert. Warm homemade baklava& other desserts but the baklava is amazing. Not only would the dessert sell itself but the service here is family and its friendly. The young lady in the front is helpful and sweet. I’ll be back for sure mmmmmm.

This was one of my father’s favorite places. He would go in and buy 1 pound of baklava like once a month. The owners are very nice too and they got along with my dad. When my dad passed away I told them and they were genuinely saddened by it. They told me the story of how my dad walked in one day after passing by and said«oh! Baklava land!» My dad enjoyed the silly name. I write this review in hopes other people can find the same enjoyment my dad did and also as a small thanks for them to show they cared about him.

$ 10 for a lb. of assorted baklava? Yes, please!!! That’s such a great deal rather than buying them individually. You can choose the ones you want, or let them choose for you. On top of that, the baklava sizes are pretty big, and delicious! I also ordered a cappuccino cake slice, and a fruit tart. The cake tasted good, but was on the dry side. The fruit tart was pretty big, but I did not like that the pastry at the bottom was more like a thick cookie. I was hoping for more of a softer dough, or something flakier. Overall, I would still drive out here for the Baklava if I’m craving for some. The couple who owns the place is very nice as well.

I ordered a Chanel Purse cake for my girlfriends birthday. I went to pick it up and it looked amazing. My girlfriend was so shocked and happy to see the surprise Chanel Purse cake I got her. I was curious about the taste and it tasted really good. It was exactly what I expected in a custom cake. I’ll be coming back to order more cakes in the future.

I happen to be in the area seeing clients and I had this bookmarked for quite a while. Located in a large strip center, it was no issue finding parking during the week. It was during lunch and I happen to be the only client. I purchased two pistachio baklava and two pieces regular baklava for $ 6.00 They offer a special for $ 10.00 and it includes 12 pieces of mixed baklava which is a great deal. I enjoyed the pistachio baklava with a cup of iced Starbucks coffee and it was delish. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient — so I’ll have to return for that pound next time I’m in the area.

Omg everything I tasted here was like heaven. Went here last night arriving like 4 minutes before closing, I was worried that I would be too late and they were still open. They even told me that if I’m neat by I can always call and they would stay open. Wow. Super nice and attentive service. I got crème brûlée, cakes and baklava. Cakes are tummy, my boyfriend got pistachio, my son got lemon curd, and I got tiramisu and and expresso one. Al the cakes were yummy n the cake was fluffy, good flavor and nice light wip crème frosting. Crème-bru-licious! The crème brûlée was soo good and the lady added the sugar and crisped it, I ate it in the parking lot. was so creamy, crispy sugar and just yummy. The baklava! Omg I loved it so much as I was eating my tray in the car I just had to turn back and go pick up a box for my boyfriends mom and my neighbor. This goodness must be shared! Loved everything, just wow!

I’ve been a regular. Even when I moved 40 miles away I would pick some up when I visited my old town. It’s perfect for those moments when you really crave something sweet. Besides just awesome baklava, they also have some other good desserts… sliced individually so you can taste and find your fave. I love that lil chocolate ganash thingy(spelling?Idk) but it’s dang good. I’m stingy with my stars on Unilocal..they deserve all four.

My wife said it best when she said«this is the best birthday cake I have EVER had in MYENTIRELIFE!» Last year, I was trying all over to find a place that could make a good Chanel Bag cake. Thanks to Unilocal I found Baklava Land, which I was surprised by since it was out in Duarte, but I found one photo where the owner Houry made an amazing Chanel Bag Cake. So I decided to work with her. Houry was amazing, she went out of her way to make sure the cake design ended up looking exactly like we wanted. And when it turned out, it was the most incredible, beautiful cake I had ever seen! She completely nailed it. Houry is not only a cake design whiz, where she can make anything you can dream, but she is also incredibly nice and accommodating of your requests. Her prices are also very reasonable. Also, you would think that when a cake looks this amazing, it would taste awful on the inside. But not the case at all with Houry’s cakes. Her red velvet was to die for! Our party guests were raving over and over about how great the cake was, and it became the star of the party, with each guest taking turns snapping photos with it. Houry is now our go to cake designer every year! And she is working on our new cakes this year! Highly recommended and worth the drive out to Duarte! There is no one like her out there.

What about baklava don’t I love? Nothing! So while waiting for my car to get serviced at the dealership nearby I pulled out my phone and brought up my trusty Unilocal app. It was easy to find and there was enough parking. I was even lucky to park right by the entrance. From the outside I could already see through the glass windows rows and rows of the heavenly treats. I was on sensory overload as I walked through the door. Oh my, such Devine smells assailed me rendering weak-kneed. When I finally tasted the yummy delicacy, sticky sweet, light and crunchy yet moist and gooey on the inside. Oh beat me with a stick for making such rude noises. Baklava and I have a date when chocolate is not available, and that my friends is high praise coming from me. When you’re in the are, check this place out. Why not even make the drive up or down here wherever you are?

Bought a tray of holiday cookies for my daughter’s teachers as well as a small box of baklava for christmas. The cookies were beautiful and all the teachers really seemed to enjoy them! I’ll have to go back to try their cakes as well!

It’s a small place that had lots of parking provided. Seems like it’s family owned, I think I met the owner and she and another girl were super friendly and accomadating! I wanted to try ALL the baklava, and so I did. It’s $ 10 for 1lb(About 12 – 13 pieces) Rolls(Raw Pistachio): This one is least sweetest among the rest. I think the fact that it was rolled gave it that texture that didn’t really enjoy. idk, that’s just me though. But I’m not saying it was bad! I think other people might like it! Pistachio Nests(I forgot what they’re really called lol): They were pretty good! Kinda the same texture as the rolls because of the rim but they were a little sweeter, which I think made it better. Walnut Baklava(The smallest one, I think it was walnut): That one was really good! So nutty but not too overbearing and just the right amount of sweet! Almond Baklava: These were my favorite!!! Same kinda of taste as the walnut but there’s something that makes it a bit better, idk if it’s the size or what but this was goood Regular looking. baklava?(Square): This one had cinnamon in it. I thought it was good but at the same time a bit too much for me. I think the cinnamon made it too rich eating it halfway, but not a bad touch! Diamond Baklava: Same as the walnut! Good as welll! I recommend you guys just try to flat baklavas! That’s really all you need! You don’t need to get the nest or rolls. Overall, good experience!

Baklava. How have I not tried you for so long?! I must admit, though, you are one very sugar-y treat. Full of nuts and pastry, these treats will get you very addicted. The boyfriend took me here as it was the closet store that sells Baklava from home so I can try what all this hype was about. Special thank you mention to Michael L. for also supporting my food discoveries and cravings. Anyways, so found this place easily as a Unilocaler had mentioned it was in the same plaza as Ralphs. On the corner of Huntington and Buena Vista. The store itself is not too big. They got about 3 tables going in case you want to sit and snack really quick, but I suggest ordering all pastries to go. Pricing is by pounds. $ 9 per pound and will get you about a box to include 2 of each Baklava they have for the day. The almond and the traditional one is my favorite. The Pistachio is also pretty good. Credit cards accepted. If you’re not the typically dessert lover, the sugar in Baklava can be over-the-top. I am not a dessert person but when I tried it, it was really sweet but I could not stopping putting eating more. Plenty of parking in the lot. Not crowded at all. They can bet I’ll be back for more!

My boyfriend and I recently moved to monrovia and were so excited to learn that there was a baklava place so close! Let me tell you, the baklava is so delicious and fresh! We came about 15 minutes before closing and they had a great selection available. We got one pound of mixed for $ 10.00, so great deal. The woman working was so sweet and told us that they would stay open if we called right before closing, in the event we wanted to come late again. We will be back to try other delicious treats!
