David Luthy Automotive is your locally owned and operated automobile service and repair shop. Our ASE Certified Technicians repair cars and trucks in Du Quoin and surrounding areas throughout Perry County and Southern Illinois. We work on all makes and models of cars and provide professional service for everything from electronic work to tune-​ups. History

Established in 1994.

David Luthy Automotive started out as a small part-​time automotive repair shop in 1994. After being a part-​time shop for several years, it has since expanded. In 2008, the business became full-​time. Due to growth, another technician was added the next year. After outgrowing the original location, a new, larger shop was opened in April of 2014. Currently, there are three ASE certified technicians in addition to the office staff ready to serve customers.

David L.

Business Owner

David grew up on a small farm, learning how to work on farm equipment and vehicles at an early age. He attended college at John A. Logan Community College and earned an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology. Much of his automotive repair experience was a culmination of twenty plus years spent at different dealerships in Southern Illinois, along with the time spent working part-​time at his garage at home.

Following his dream, he left his full-​time dealership position to work full-​time for himself in 2008. David likes a challenge and thrives on fixing things that other repair shops haven’t been able to diagnose. He also likes meeting different people and helping to address their automotive needs.
