Established in 2009.

Stanco Recycling is a scrap metal recycling operation now located at 14 Ruthman Drive in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, one and a half miles off Interstate 75 at the Dry Ridge exit. Originally located in Newport, Kentucky for thirteen years, the continued growth of our business dictated a change to a larger facility with ready access to our markets and to our customers. Our new facility in Dry Ridge opened on June 1^st, 2006. In July 2007 we opened a retail operation as a service for the surrounding communities to be able to recycle their scrap metals at a fair price.

Who are the «Steel Magnolias»? They are Sandra Kirschner Wyatt and Dori Bowman Schweitzer, owners of Stanco. Ms. Wyatt and Ms. Schweitzer trained with Alan G. Kirschner, owner of D. Kirschner & Son, Inc. in Newport, Kentucky, a scrap metal recycling business in operation for over 50 years, started by his father, David Kirschner, with a horse and wagon.
