My son started skateboarding a few months ago and we signed him up for a day camp at Texas Skateboarding Club, sight unseen. It turned out to be a great experience, with very positive vibe, boys and girls of all ages rooting each other on and lead by Bryan, a very nice man who runs a solid, organized camp. Located in or near a paintball field, there are several skateboard ramps of different sizes and trails for BMX. A little rustic but everything needed to have a great camp. My son learned a lot, made a friend and came back very enthused about his skateboarding(albeit a little scraped up). I really loved the confidence that seemed to build with kids encouraging each other on, even when they weren’t yet able to complete a trick. The drive from downtown also wasn’t too bad for just 4 days — about 25 to 30 minutes south of downtown in traffic. I’d highly recommend this camp and am considering joining the club offered as well.
