I don’t write Unilocal reviews often– only when things are the best of the best or the worst of the worst. I stopped in to this donut shop to grab my boys breakfast on the way back to Boerne from Austin. I rarely eat donuts because I’m always disappointed, but the chocolate butter cream filled with powder sugar looked too good to pass up. It was not only the best donut I have ever had, it was utter perfection. It is now a full 3 days later, and I am still thinking about it on an hourly basis.

I’ve driven by this non-descript little building a few times when headed to Pedernales. Last week I was headed out on a Saturday morning to meet a group and had a hankering for a fritter just as I passed the building again. I doubled back and I’m so glad I did! The donuts are five star, without a doubt. I bought a couple fritters, a couple eclairs and cinnamon rolls. Along with some regular and chocolate milk. I finished my fritter before reaching my destination, it was so good. And most of the group wolfed theirs down as well. There were a few people ahead of me in the building, a car in the drive thru, and a large group walked in as I was leaving and I see why. The place itself is nothing to write home about(small building, a few tables, drive thru), but the donuts sure are! I will definitely be going back anytime I’m in the general vicinity.

We love stopping here whenever we are headed to Henly, Tx for baseball games for a couple years. Now that we live in Dripping Springs, we stop here on our way to school for a delicious breakfast when there’s no time to eat at home. We love it! They delicious«everything» but I especially love their kolaches. Thanks for having one without cheese!

Really good donuts. Service is usually very good — friendly smiling faces. I don’t recommend the coffee, but that’s ok because the donuts are good enough that you won’t mind. I like their kolache too — salty meat wrapped in sweet pastry.

I have been a donut snob for some time. There are very few places that I will eat donuts from. But the donuts here are by far the best I have had yet! I love them, and I actually have to avoid looking at the shop as I drive by, or I will be tempted to stop. If you ever get the chance, these are worth a visit to Dripping Springs!

Donuts and kolaches are great. Service in terms of getting your order right and fast is great, but the attitude from the girl who took my order the past couple of times is awful. It makes getting donuts not fun.

Amazing selection of flavors and I didn’t sample a bad one. Loved both the yeast and cake varieties. The kolaches were good but not great, thus the one star deduction. I wasn’t crazy about the hot dog style sausage and cheese, it wasn’t very breakfasty. Great place, fast service, fantastic prices.

Donuts aren’t bad but service was horrible. The younger woman at the register was rude and had an attitude and obviously didn’t want to be there. started with here just staring at me when i was next in line. i even made the comment«i guess your ready for me then» I asked«Can you recommend a few you like, I have never been here before». «No» then got yelled at and told to look at the wall of donuts when I order not the menu because it’s different. And a few I asked for she forget but I wasn’t going to re ask and spend more money. Again the donuts weren’t amazing but they are good but I can’t spend my money were I don’t feel welcome or valued as a customer.

Now I have to say closing time and a customer coming in can be a struggle, but not here. They where simply great. Tasty coffee and great donuts and pastries got my afternoon brunch happy and full with a great day to remember, thanks so much.

If you are lucky enough to get their glazed donuts fresh out of the oven, it may be the best donut you’ve ever tasted. We went around 10am on a Saturday. The donuts were still warm and nice and soft. Thicker and better than a krispy kreme.

Hands down best eclairs I have ever had. They told me that they experimented a lot with the recipe to get it just right, and it shows. The donuts are more like the ones I remember growing up, rather than the«greasy bags of air» from Krispy Kreme. Don’t get me wrong, there is a time and a place for Krispy Kreme, but you can do Drippin Donuts more often. Hooray Donuts! My kids really like the muffins too.

Above average donuts and kolaches. Good crisp texture on the regular donuts and their buttermilk, my favorite, is really enjoyable.

Donuts and kolaches were good, but just not great. The jalapeño and cheese kolache and the plain glazed donut were pretty good. The ham and cheese kolache was pretty bad. They need to slice up the ham instead of having a ham stick inside the bread. Anyway, my hopes were high, but Drippin Donuts just delivered average.

Remember that awesome donut shop from back when you were a kid? The one you and your dad would stop at on the way to go fishing to get a soda and a couple of donuts? Or the family would go grab a quick sugar rush together before hitting the highway on a road trip? This is that place. The donuts are all old fashioned, hand made and awesome. There are no shortcuts here. Each carbohydrate is lovingly hand crafted to excellence, and priced so cheap your heart would stop before you reached $ 10. If you are ever driving through Dripping Springs and looking for a flashback breakfast, do yourself a favor and stop in. They are on the county side of 290west, a couple of blocks past the home depot, in the hideous mint colored building.

Can anything produce more happiness than a fresh, melt-in-your-mouth donut? Judging by the nonstop crowds here, no. Every morning, a constant parade of folks stream into this hot donut place or visit the drive-through for their delicious confections. And if it’s your fourth birthday, like my new friend Adriana, you get to celebrate with a sprinkle donut before your princess party later! Donuts, both glazed and fruit-filled, cake and buttermilk donuts, fruit and meat kolaches, croissants, breakfast tacos — there’s something here to make everyone happy.

Fritter Fix. I’m not a regular doughnut guy. Not because I don’t like ‘em, but because sugar is my worst enemy in the battle of unnecessary weight gain. But today I had the undeniable urge for an Apple Fritter and stopped in a place I drive by everyday on the way to work. I was not disappointed. I was so Fritterized I had to make a pot of coffee, and I don’t regularly drink coffee either. What happened to me today? Can a person survive on Fritters and coffee? I’m curious now. To doughnut lovers everywhere– thumbs up for Drippin’ Doughnuts. Make them a stop on your way through Dripping Springs, TX. They are open from 5 a.m. to 1 p. m everyday of the week. The staff is friendly and efficient. They’ve even got a drive thru. Yum Yum.

New donut place in Drippin! New donut place in Drippin! Alright, so we celebrate the small things out here in the country. Its not like were gonna get a Krispy Kreme anytime soon. I found out that they were open last Saturday when I arrived to what was left of a dozen glazed when I got to work. I had already eaten breakfast so I decided I would just split one with a coworker. 5 donuts later… So we went a tad overboard. Its a big store where I work; but we managed to polish off 4 dozen in three hours. The glazed are awesome, chocolate, crème filled, blueberry and frosted blueberry, and cake. The comments ranged from WAY better than Round Rock and Krispy Kreme; to just as good as. I made my Unilocal grand entrance a few days after writing this review. The Kolaches are good as well as every donut I’ve tasted. The staff was friendly even with all of Hays County either hitting the drive thru window or waiting at the counter. A worthy breakfast spot in our neck of the woods. Ol Rooster tore that donut hole an new one!
