AMM Collision Center

The exterior door handles on my 2004 Toyota Matrix were manufactured using substandard plastic, and after 11 years in the Texas sun they became brittle. One by one, they deteriorated and broke as I used them. Since it was not a safety concern, Toyota never issued a recall.
Since I had been to AMM Collision Center in Dripping Springs in the past for minor problems or adjustments, and always received first-​class service, I took my car there for this rather expensive repair.
I could not be more satisfied. Everyone there was friendly and actually interested in what I had to say as I explained my little car’s dilemma. Mike and Dustin were especially helpful, and everything they promised happened exactly that way.
The new handles arrived on time, the car was ready in several hours, and afterward they even polished my opaque, cloudy, and yellowed headlight lenses at no extra charge. The estimate was very reasonable, and when I went to pay it was not a penny over!
Since I now have door handles, I no longer have to crawl through the rear hatch to unlock the door from the inside. With polished headlight lenses, I am amazed at how much more I can see when driving at night. I feel like I have a new car!
Mike and Dustin: please accept my sincere gratitude for everything you’ve done for me and my car. I will always bring my car to you for any work as well as recommend you to my friends, family, co-​workers, and anyone else who needs automotive work.

AMM always served me well. Then they grew. I mean really grew. They have half a dozen locations throughout Austin. I went from being a valued customer to being a number – not even that. This is now no more than a production shop. This shows in everything from the customer service to the quality of work. Sorry guys. I’m sure you’re making a killing. But for longevity sometimes staying small is better.

I had a few scratches on my bumper and decided to take it to their shop. I showed up without an appointment and was helped immediately. The technician then saw my vehicle and told me most of the scratches were not deep and he would be able to buff it out. He came back with a buffer power tool and removed most scratches except one that was deep. He then came back with a touchup pain and fixed it on the spot. He refused to charge anything for it. My bumper looks perfect! I have to say this type of customer service is almost non existent now days. Every other mechanic or body shop will try to squeeze every penny out of your wallet, BUT NOT THESE GUYS!
I have to say they earned a customer for life.

Went there on November 6, 2014 and Phillip Polakovic helped me with my 2015 Tahoe. I had backed into a oversize truck and bend the back bumped. The Tahoe was only two months old. He looked at the Tahoe and then went to his office and then wrote up Preliminary Estimate. He then went outside and moved my bumper around and then asked for the keys and left. He was gone about 15 minutes and my bumper looked almost like new. Guess he had some type of tool to make the repair.
NO CHARGE. I had used AMM several years ago when a deer hit my old Tahoe and used AMM and had excellent service.

Incredible service! After a fender bender, I decided to go against my insurance company’s recommended service shop and had the work to replace the hood, fender, and bumper done at AMM Collision. Phillip was incredibly polite and developed a natural rapport immediately. He made the entire process turnkey. AMM Collision is so good, they called me two days earlier than anticipated to let me know the work was complete.
Bonus: When I picked up the car, it had been washed and vacuumed.
Extra-​Point Bonus (and a number 1 draft pick): The helped me get my fixed car home.

On premise: The office is adjoined to a small Enterprise Car Rentals office. The waiting room is large and living room-​like, clean, and offers complimentary coffee. The receptionist was a very sweet and attentive lady.

I had my car damaged and I had it taken to AMM Collision. AMM has unbelievable customer service. Dave made me feel as if I’d known him forever. He kept me in the know and called my insurance company to keep the processes moving. I hope I never have a collision and need my car fixed, but if I ever do, AMM Collision is definitely the place I will go.
Months earlier, my wife needed to have her car bumper repaired and painted. AMM did a superb job and my wife was even more impressed that when she picked up her car, they had cleaned and vacuumed the inside and washed the car.

These guys are great… from first call to drop off to pick up… they did a great job! Dustin, John… all of them are so helpful! Highly recommend!

I must Unilocal about these guys. I had an incident at a resturant where parking with my Benz wasn’t such a good thing. I have a low front in or a skirt on the front of my car… the place I had the ‘accident’ — i ran into the rebar on the parking stopper. It looked horrible. AMM actually fixed it in 15 minutes!!! I LOVE this place!

Ok I can’t really say enough good things about my experience with AMM Collision. First and foremost, they quoted me a fraction of both the time and the cost to complete my repairs. Unfortunately, someone knocked my driver’s side mirror off in a parking lot (won’t even get started on that) and so it was incredibly scary to drive my car. Anyway, Dustin, one of the guys at AMM, told me to bring my car in and he’d have it back within a day or two. Not only did he have it done in a day and a half (mind you I took it in on a Friday — was ready Monday afternoon), he was able to get the mirror (special order) about 3 days sooner than even the Toyota dealership; who by the way wanted to charge me $ 225 for the mirror and then around $ 300 for the labor. I got out of AMM at $ 230, total.
As if that’s not impressive enough in and of itself, when I picked my car up today, Dustin met me at my car with roses (It’s Valentine’s Day) and told me to have a great day.
Dustin clearly went OUT of his way to make me feel like he cared about me and my business and made my day in the process.
I am so impressed with this experience, I’d drive BACK to Dripping Springs to get work done even if I moved away. Thanks, Dustin.

Confession. I am a Honda nerd. More specifically, a Honda Prelude nerd. I shipped my 1990 si ALB with 175k miles on it all the way from California because I couldn’t bear to part with him (and despite the fact I have a 2001 Prelude, too.)
I was getting bummed because although Keanu runs like a top (yes, his name is Keanu), his paint was becoming oxidized on the top and hood. I tried waxing to no avail.
One day, I stopped by my friendly neighborhood body shop to ask for an opinion on whether I could get a partial paint job and some detailing to spruce him up. I was a little bashful. Who perks up 17 year old Hondas?
Anyway, they were very nice, very understanding, and if they thought I was insane, they didn’t show it. I let them do the work and it came out amazing. I like my car. He’s old, but so am I. I am so glad I shipped him over here. Keanu and I – we are a team. Thank you AMM!
