Treehouse Athletic Club

I’ve been at this gym for almost 2 months after being at Vasa most recently. It’s huge, has a ton of equipment and some awesome classes. I do the strength classes, abs, and spin classes and really enjoy them all — the instructors are awesome and very personable.
My initial draw to this gym was their childcare services. The teachers at the day care have been awesome and I feel very comfortable leaving my two little kids in the day care. They have a great check in system so kids don’t get lost and plan fun activities for them.
The facility is really nice, I never have trouble finding equipment or space to use. At previous gyms I’ve gone to, everything feels cramped and often hard to get the machines you want to use.
Treehouse is really clean. They have tons of wipes to use and offer clean towels for their patrons. The lockeroom is huge with a large shower space, complimentary robes, lotions, hair dryers, etc.
While it is more expensive than other local gyms, it’s definitely worth it! I’ve had a great experience!

My wife and I recently completed a 3 day complimentary membership here. My first overall impression was that this place was awesome! It’s huge! Way bigger inside than it appears to be from the outside.
The facility is well maintained, clean, the locker rooms are HUGE, plus the staff and members were pretty friendly.
My daughter loved the pool. They have both a kid pool and a lap pool which are heated and in the winter have a bubble over them!
The kids facilities are awesome and the staff was great with my daughter. They painted her finger nails, played dodge ball, and colored while my wife and I worked out.
The gym equipment is super dated and mostly made up of machines. I was actually pretty disappointed by their limited selection of free weights and the actually «gym» part of the facility.
I wasn’t sold on signing up here for a «gym» membership. I would however, be more sold on this place as a «rec center». It’s really what it is. It would be a fun place the entire family, even more so if you have a lot of kids.
Why if you have more kids? Is because of the pricing. Family pricing is a flat rate for any family above 3… It’s only Me, My wife, and our daughter. So for the three of us, it’s the same price as a family of 10.
The price was around $ 165 with tax for a family of 3+ and about $ 70 – 75 for a single person, and $ 120 for two adults. *month to month /​no contract
I would do a family membership for $ 100. That to me seems fair to occasionally workout with my wife and have our daughter swim and her enjoy the daycare facilities.
I really like their hours of operation and daycare hours. They even have daycare on Sundays!
My perspective: $ 165 to have access to a mediocre gym, with outdated equipment, a nice pool, basketball and racquet ball courts, plus rock climbing wall. Not worth it to me. I have no interest in the basketball courts.
Give me a family plan for $ 100 and you got yourself a customer!

This gym is awesome. It’s almost like it doesn’t belong in Utah. It’s more like a gym you would see in Vegas or California. Every perk you could possibly want is there!

I had a less than steller experience at this club. Aside from the fact that it is substantially more expensive than any other club in the area, the equipment is subpar and out dated. The tube Tv’s that they provide for you to watch wihile you work out are a joke. The audio terminals are all broken.
There are some great amenities. But they are over shadowed by the terrible service. When you pay this much, you dont expect to be told that you cannot bring your cell phone in the facility in a condesending fashion. I wasnt even using it. There are so many restrictions that you feel that you’re doing something wrong every where you go.
I tried for 2 years. I cancelled my membership finally and I feel like ive been freed.

This gym was awesome, I was visiting from out of town and great experience. First of all this is one of the cleanest gym I’ve ever been in and the staff was great. They had a good variety of equipment, pool, nice basket court. etc!!! One of the best features was the men’s locker room it was like walking into a spa… can’t wait to come back!

I love this gym! Everything is the absolute best! The variety of classes are better than anywhere and the teachers know their stuff. The daycare and kids club are amazing. The staff and trainers are awesome. The pool and locker rooms are top notch.
You can even check your kids into the daycare and have lunch at the Juice Tree (don’t let the name scare you, they have a full menu of yumminess, not just drinks) or get a pedicure or spa treatment or lounge by the pool. Moms need this gym in the summer for your sanity!
Don’t let the price scare you away. I pay less for a membership with daycare here (up to 2 ½ hours a day, 7 days a week) than I would for a 2x week class for my son at a kids program at Gymboree or the like. He loves the staff and always has such a fun time and I get my workout and free time.

Very fancy and VERY expensive. You’re paying more for the «amenities» than the exercise. Apparently you get free lockers, towels, robes, body wash and lotion, hair dryers, etc. I’d rather pay less and bring my own stuff.
The pool is okay but I can’t imagine swimming there in the winter. I didn’t feel like there was very much exercise equipment — it was smaller than I expected.
For the two of us it would have cost $ 150 a month for a membership here. I would rather be fat forever. Maybe I’ll go buy $ 150 worth of cookies.

Conveniently nestled near the base of the Wasatch Mountains and South Mountain lies a fortress that will make any hercules, herculette, or any family of herculi (see what I did there? Does that even make sense?) feel like they’ve just bathed in a pool of a million dollars. I’m talking Treehouse baby.
Am I walking in to go shopping for some pants that have been bedazzled to death or for a shirt that is busier than the gridlock of LA or NY? Who cares. Treehouse has a little clothing store inside that for if some reason you thought gyms should sell high end clothes, they do. Who needs malls or a clothing store when you can just go shopping after you’ve moved and shaked or ran in place to a fitness class? Answer, not you after your Treehouse visit.
Treehouse is more a family friendly center that caters to having a lot of things for everyone rather than focusing solely on physique like your Golds or 24’s. If you have kids that are ticking you off and you want to dump them on the basketball court, bring it. Treehouse can accommodate. Swimming pool? I can confirm in the summer they have it, Winter, I’m no gambling man but they may bubble wrap it. Kids activites/​camps. Bingo. How about racquetball/​squash? Yep. Have you ever played? You should. Lock yourself into a room where you can just annihilate a little rubber ball and follow a few simple rules. Great way to let your economic frustration out.
If you’re worried about pampering your «ever so deserving» self, lets address that. Free weights, machines, yoga/​pilates/​dance aerobic/​light weight training classes, personal trainers and a chiropractor. They’ve got it on lock. Whether you want get jacked up on a pre workout, pack you meals with protein, and meticulously form your masculine muscles to try and bump your self up to an XL T Shirt, you can. Perhaps you’re all about trimming down to show off every curve of that bodacious bod to fit into Miss Vickies new swimsuit or maybe even you’re going try and bag a chick or dude, they’ve got your little selfish self covered.
Perhaps the most pleasant difference from you traditional gym is the locker room. Now, I can’t tell you about women’s locker room BUT here’s what the men are working with… Free locker use, clean rooms, separate showers, soaps/​shampoos/​conditioners/​lotions, a little nook with a TV just in case you want to hang out where sweaty naked men may be changing. Oh they even have a hair dryers. When I had my locks of love I think I spent close to 6 ½ hours just blow drying my hair because I could. Yeah, I’m that cool.
Memberships and day passes will cost you a little more here, but you get what you pay for I suppose. However I can’t justify giving this a 5 star rating. My minds says go but my heart says no

It comes as no surprise that this place was voted best athletic club in Utah for 2009. I spent a month here while on a fitness retreat, and I have now becomed spoiled and am now looking for another gym back home in Los Angeles (currently a 24 hr fitness member). The entire staff is very helpful, considerate, and knowledgeable. All the trainers are genuinely happy to do their jobs, the class instructors will show you different ways to modify an exercise if you cannot do what they are doing. The people who work out here are also very nice and will greet you hello even if they don’t know you.
The lockers are very clean and well kept with towels and other amenities that you might need, including soap, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, and disposable razors. There are a ton of classes for every kind of workout you would want, a great pool, a sauna and steam room in the locker room, a full sized basketball court, racquetball and squash courts, kids zone for the kids, and an on site chiropractic doctor available. Oh and you can join on a month to month membership — no contract required. There is so much more I can say about this place, but it would be better if you experienced it for yourself.
