Hannaford Supermarkets

I can’t believe I’m reviewing a grocery store, but here goes. My review is specific to this particular location. I like the Hannaford chain much better than Market Basket, but my main gripe for this location is they often do not have what I’m looking for. Almost every single time I go, they don’t have one of the main things that I’m looking for. Maybe I just have weird tastes, I’m not sure – but I’ve never really experienced this problem at other major grocery stores, including Hannafords in other locations. This one is physically a little bit smaller than the one in Tewkbury, so that’s probably why it has slightly less selection, but man it’s annoying.
Don’t get me wrong, if you’re a normal person, you will find 95% of the stuff on your shopping list here. But in my case, I always have to then make a trip to a second store to get that last item or two. And every time I get to the counter, the nice girl asks me, «Did you find everything you were looking for?», I lie and pretend I did.

Prices have recently become MUCH MORE competitive with Market Basket– but right now I’m sending a review for their bakery…
GREAT SERVICE at Hannaford Bakery in Dracut! The treats in the refrigerated case in front quickly sells out, and the bakery person has actually offered to order extra for the next delivery just to make sure I get my favorite one :)
GREAT PRICE TOO! I ordered a cake for my child, and they didn’t upcharge me for the toy that came on top of it like Market Basket’s done in the past.

Started shopping at Hannaford recently. Like the prices and the selection. The store is always neat and clean as well.
They also have a new store brand called MyEssentials, which is comparatively cheaper or the same price-​wise as the store brand at Market Basket.
They also have a car carriage that my daughter loves to ride in, which makes my shopping experience smoother than it would be otherwise!
