I’m a big proponent of giving the non-traditional sandwich shop a try. This was the first time we did so for M&M. I can excuse them for being late for delivering a lunch order, but for not calling to advise us of this does not score points in our book. As for the turkey sandwich on a long seeded roll(the roll was delicious), well the assembled components and lack thereof leave a lot to be desired. hint: little more meat would be nice. We also had salads in our order, which were acceptable for the price. All in all, we’ll likely pass next time we have a lunch order for a group, but to be fair, I will give them another chance on my own and write about it again.

This place makes it very hard to do business with them. Very disappointing. I was told they had great food, so several times I was there and they«decided to close early». This is not fair to consumers. If you have hours on your door, website, etc…, Stick to your commitments! After trying to visit them twice and getting burnt, I will not try again!!!

Update: they are now closed. New owner. New name. Don’t be fooled by the takeout-like atmosphere. Whoever is cooking the food here is brilliant. The soups are amazing. For example, the chicken noodle soup comes with homemade noodles. Soups begin in September, and by the end of the winter every country’s soup will have been represented. One better than the next. Best oatmeal cookie anywhere — exactly the right degree of crispiness and soft chewiness. Come for the food, stay for the jokes.

Easily the best sandwich spot in Doylestown. Awful hours cuz they’re primarily a catering business. They’re usually open ?-2 on week days only. So stop in early. Authentic sides and sandwiches as well as the classics. This place is a gem.

Food is excellent. Every day there are new specials. Soups are out of this world. Owners and staff are so friendly you won’t eat anywhere else. Fast and deliver too!

My boss threw a party at her house and had it catered by Mert & Monte’s. Not only was everything delicious, but there was so much variety in what was offered! Polenta with tomato and mozzarella, hummus, lo mein, Caesar salad, hoagies, and some of the best pita I have ever had. My fiancée and I were some of the last leave, so we got to take home TONS of leftovers, and wouldn’t you know, they kept for almost a week! If we ever need a catering company, we’re going with Mert & Monte’s for sure.

Mert and Monte’s rocks. I used to work down the street, and it’s the only thing I miss about my old job. I love the sandwiches, especially the Caprese Panini and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. They always have awesome homemade soups, and the salads are huge. There are daily specials and the baked goods(made on site!) are off the chain. Staff is super friendly. I love, love, love this spot. A must if you live or work in D-town!
