Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition

A volunteer from this group nabbed my cat, took it to an irresponsible veterinary hospital, told the doctors there that my cat was a hungry, crazed, pregnant, female, and part of a feral pack of cats. The reckless vet took every word this Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition volunteer said without checking and proceeded to shave my cat, anesthetize it with a drug my cat is allergic to, and then rip a tooth out. Only then, did they bother to see if my cat had a chip in him, which he does. It was also then that they realized that my cat is not female, and not pregnant.
When I called up the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition to complain, the woman on the phone proceeded to lecture me about how to raise my cat, telling me it was wrong for me to let my cat out of the house, and that their organization has every right to catnap my cat whenever one of their volunteers finds it outdoors.
Calling this group an animal «welfare» coalition strains credulity.

A wonderful Cat rescue and TNR group. I have been involved with this rescue over 2 years and it is a great group to foster for and a great group to adopt from!
