I always enjoy coming to this post office, the staff is awsome knowing them all on a first name bases, anything you need they help out, they don’t treat you like a typical customer they treat and make you feel like one of the family always enjoy coming there and i will continue to do so…

Visited this morning to buy stamps and found that the manager was shutting down the operation because the«system» was down. She explained that this was the third time this has happened. I asked for the District Manager’s name so I could write him a message and ask if he could please look into the issues with the«system». The snorkel mail box outside the office has been vandalized several times and the hole in the south wall of the building has been damaged for weeks. Looks like the folks at the south station are doing all they can to provide good customer service but the higher cluster of administrators don’t seem to be supporting the unit. Working on my memo to the District Manager. Try to be patient with these folks… they are trying the best they can with what they have.

Bringing the rating to one star! The employees at this post office are TERRIBLE! Forget about asking any questions, the employees are rude and unprofessional! I was trying to track down a package and NOT a single employee would give me the time of day. The post man that works the route I’m on won’t even stop so you can ask a question… he just keeps on walking. I do everything online and just walk in there to drop off my packages. There are tons of people looking for jobs… hire people that actually want to work there.

Their service sucks, and there is an elderly woman that is very rude with the clients.

The cashiers customer service was, great. However the person or manager in charge sucks. On July 10, 2014 I stood in line for at least 20 mins, the line is very long, I’m next in line and the manager comes out and ask if anyone wants to buy stamps or money orders, he has them create a separate line and has the clerk to start helping them. How does that work where is the customer service, yes you are trying to get the line down but you have people who have been waiting in line for over 20 minutes, never again and you wonder why people pay their bills online.

Downey has several post offices and although the main post office is closer I prefer this one. It’s somewhat newer than the main one. It’s smaller in size and limited with access and parking since they added the island on Imperial Hwy. a few years ago. Inside they have P.O. Boxes, packing supplies such as boxes and packaging envelopes, etc. Customer service is always on point as they have 3 stations and the line always moves quickly.
