one of my favorite little spots. good music and amazing drink deals. i have been here many times over the past 3 months and i cannot get tired of visiting, except when it gets too crowded that i cant even dance since everyone is pushing. monday night karaōke with a live band is simply amazing. tuesday and sunday, all night drink specials… yay! i have yet to visit on Wednesdays but ive heard the reggae band is great. Thursday 80s night is chill, good music. friday and saturday, just music, drinks n friends? yes please.

My friend went to the Anarchy Library earlier, I picked her up at midnight. When she came out she was acting very weird. Turns out she was drugged at the bar. Lucky for her I picked her up and she didn’t walk like she planned to. Ladies if you go out to the Anarchy Library please be careful.
I hope the manager contacts me.

Zee my bartender was so awesome she made me a coconut mojito they don’t even offer so she custom made it. It the going out of her way to making sure were satisfied problem next door always closed they should sell tacos from TACOS TINACOS GET A BIGGER CROWD

Horrible crappy impolite bar tender service with the tatted girl… I don’t recommend this place to anyone. This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

I’ve been here quite a few times in my past. I grew up in Bellflower. My main qualm is with this owner guy J.V. I was going over the comments. And I seen that he said that they were in business for 50 years, and telling people to get their facts straight… how about he get his facts straight it was the rick rack before it was the Anarchy Library and that definitely wasn’t 50 years ago!
I Really have nothing against this bar ya it’s a little dirty, yeah the crowd is a little Rowdy, and they should spend a little bit of that money (which they do make a lot of) to update their seats and tables but that’s their choice.
It is a dive bar, in a sh*ty location, don’t expect much, but they don’t clam to be high class, «hoity toity,» which I do respect!

Don’t come to this place if you’re gay, I came here last night with a couple of my friends we don’t really go out but we came here to have a good time. We didn’t even make it to the door yet and the security would not take his eyes off my friend because he was wearing makeup. Once we got to the door he gave us a bullshit excuse saying he couldn’t come in because he was kicked out two weeks ago. It was his first time there. That security couldn’t even put together a decent story. To cut it short, Don’t come here if you’re openly gay it’s not an inviting area and that gray haired fat bastard in the front will give you a hard time this place isn’t that great for the trouble.

I came here on a Friday night. They had a small line outside, but they got everyone in within a timely manner.
It’s a small kind of hole in the wall bar in Downey. They play lots of 80s music and a variety of some old school hip hop and Spanish rock.
The drinks are a little expensive for being a type of dive bar ($ 7.00 for vodka/​cranberry), but it’s not a bad place to drink and dance. The dance floor gets extremely packed though.

First time ever here and I LOVED it! Great vibes, Amazing people, great music, and the drinks are great! definitely will be coming back soon!

Cheap Drinks, Great Music (80’s, Spanish Rock), and a mixed crowd makes this place cool. On the downside its small and seating is limited as well as the dancefloor.

Almost no seating good prices on drinks if you can even get into this over crowded place. Plus if you’re a girl you better walk with your hands on your ass or you will be groped wherever you go. There are some nice bartenders and some do pour strong. Beware there’s usually a fight that breaks out usually at least once a week. And parking is horrible.

So many people recommend to come to this place because it had a cool vibe and cheap drinks. Well one thing was right, the drinks on specific days are cheap. As for the cool vibe, not so cool. Basically what I got out of this place is if you are not a guy and you’re a girl, you will get treated bad. The bartenders are girls who wear heavy make-​up and revealing clothes and only smile at you if you are a guy. There are hardly any seats or tables inside and they are pretty much taken by men. My first and last time coming to this over-​rated bar.

Oh the infamous anarchy. Cannot complain about this hidden dive bar, it’s local, cheap (during happy hour), and a cool atmosphere. Great place to just kick and have a good time! Expect to wait a long time in line on weekendssss

A 15 minute wait to get into this place wasn’t bad for a Saturday night. The scenery and music was much different than what a typical bar would have. I got to hear music by David Bowie, Dramarama, Billy Idol just to name a few. While music is playing, the music videos are being shown on a huge t.v. in the dance floor area. Drinks ordered were Dos Equis & Jäger Bombs. The Dos Equis were served bottled and Jäger Bombs were made perfectly. Restrooms do need to be bigger as they only had two stalls. Getting in and out was a struggle due to the fact the restroom is right where the dance floor is. I would go back and enjoy some good music and drinks.

Love the music, and how throughout the week they change the theme of the bar… love it. Must go to on TUESDAY AND SUNDAY because it’s happy hour all night! Who can’t say no to, $ 2 drinks? Lol. Must check out spot.

I actually moved at a walking distance from this place so decided to check it out. There was no cover and just a laid back guy checking id’s by the door. 80sMusic was okay and they have projectors on the walls to go with it. I ordered a redbull vodka and the bartender put vodka and some juice from her soda gun in this tiny little plastic cup. Definitely not redbull. Second drink of the night was a Long Island iced tea. Again, it wasn’t made correctly (I have a bar tending license).Then my date and I were standing by some tables and the air conditioner pipes from the ceiling were leaking drops of water on us. Most of the crowd seemed to be on drugs and danced by themselves. This bar will never be my first choice but I might consider going back if I ever don’t want to drive somewhere. Wouldn’t recommend. There was also no parking.
Friend made me come back a second time and I had a whole different experience. There was no water leaks and the drinks were pretty great. I had sex on the beach this time and glasses were bigger. I guess it just depends on the night you go.

If I could give this place no stars, I would.
This place is like the last drink you never should have had.
Like the party that makes you feel your age.
Like a film that’s so bad but you’ve gotta stay till the very end.
The music is repetitive, the drinks are weak, the place smells and the guys that show up there have no manners.
I don’t know what I enjoyed more the last time I was here, the guy berating me for a cigarette, the couple outside who’s tongue was down his girls throat, the 40 year old couple behind me on the dance floor, or the guy who wouldn’t take no for answer. Perhaps the cherry on top were the guys outside who talked about all of the ugly chicks inside and how they HAD to say yes in going home with them.
Every time someone suggests this place, I don’t understand the devotion to it. Even the locals don’t frequent this place.
Have some self respect and go to a different place for a night.

I love the music, dancing environment, no cover, and you cannot go wrong with 2 dollar drink specials on Tuesdays and Sunday’s. The only thing I dislike is the long lines for the girl’s restroom and sometimes it’s hard to get a drink because of the long lines.

Definitely a specific crowd goes here. Two types really. Girl that dress like punk rockers and Spanish looking dudes. Its small, mixed drinks are prepared like garbage. Over pored or under, not a good mix. One of the bar tenders did not know how to make a long island. When i go to order it i see her talk to her coworker for a sec looking like shes asking her coworker how to make it. I don’t know if she was new but thats annoying cuz i still have to pay for her unknown knowledge of drink mixtures.
On a good note i didn’t mind the 80s music. Its chill to dance to. Yup thats about it.
