I was looking for a cleaning service since I’m pregnant right now, I sent a message via Unilocal and then called and left a message 24 hrs later after not hearing back from them via email/​yelp. Still nothing guess they don’t need new business.

Maria used to clean my old house in North Hollywood (I had to move), and she would always do a GREAT job. She would come once a month and gave me a really good deal because she would drive from Downey to come to my house! That’s a 40 min drive!!! And she would check in on me from time to time to see if I needed cleaning and make sure my house was spic and span. ;) Originally what had happened was I got a Groupon from the cleaning service and I made a mistake when I checked the zipcode service radius. I didn’t want to waste my Groupon, so I decided to try Maria out. She was great, and I stuck with her a couple of years. The place would always smell great and look brand new after she was done. She got to know my cats and we would chat and it was always a great time when I knew Maria was coming. Highly recommend!
One note though: Make sure to make the communication clear between Maria and the Socal Cleaning office. Its a family business and sometimes they don’t get a chance to talk to her before she does a job, and Maria doesn’t speak much English, so make sure they tell her all the info about prices, services and whatnot ahead of time! They are always good about miscommunications, but it helps settle frustrations when things are crystal clear. Thanks for everything Maria!

Great service, very professional and very accommodating. Both Eddie and Maria came and cleaned for over 4 hours.

Maria was amazing. She was really considerate of the specifics we wanted focused on, and our apartment looked/​smelled great when she was done. Bonus: she was so sweet to my dog!

Maria does a very good job cleaning our place. She goes above and beyond and does even more than we ask her to. I highly recommend her services to anybody looking for a good cleaning service. She charges a fair price and is very friendly, fast and efficient. Definitely give her a call!

I’m glad I found Maria. She’s been cleaning my apartment for few months now and I’ve never been disappointed. She does a great job! She is efficient, flexible and nice. The price is correct too. I’ll totally recommend her.

After receiving a personal message (asking me to delete my comment) and the (rather rudely stated) below comment from the «owner» «maria» I am compelled to re-​review this company and give them only 1 star (down from 2) for poor customer service AFTER the fact.
You can all see how well-​worded the message is posted by «maria» the «owner» below. I’m not sure how «Maria», the man who answered my call for service, and the actual cleaning crew that showed up is related, but the people who cleaned my house couldn’t put two words together in English.
If I was charged for a «rush job» then they did an extra poor job. If I wasn’t charged for a rush job, I should have been, and it should have been done right. The job should have been quoted appropriately and finished appropriately. Period. When you go around asking customers to change or delete a review and blame them for having expectations, you’re doing yourself a major disservice and just ensuring they won’t hire you again, while spreading the word about just how bad a job you did.

My wife purchased the Groupon deal for the service and when she called to schedule the service the rep first responded they only do ‘small’ unit and then ask for additional mileage surcharge on top of $ 25/​hour overtime. Since the Groupon was already purchased she told him just come over and do within the 2 hour allotment. We (thought) negotiated for them to finally waive the mileage surcharge to confirm the appointment with our address. Before hanging up the rep ‘hinted’ that tips are expected for the service.
On the day of service no one showed up and we called 3 times to leave message and when it was finally replied more than an hour later we were told we never ‘confirmed’ the service and once again because we are considered far away the rep repeated the mileage surcharge. He neither apologized for the no-​show or offer an alternative service date. Truly a lousy business and we are filing our complains to Groupon as well!
