Shakey’s Pizza Parlor

So I got perfect attendance at work and as a teacher that can be tough. I received a coupon for a free medium pizza with one topping. I brought it in and placed my order. Well, they brought a individual pizza to my table. I mentioned the coupon stated medium. Not only did they correct their error and brought me the medium with a smile and apology but they let me keep the individual pizza, too. Now that’s classy management right there. Great job Shakey’s!!! The place is really clean, also.

Here on a Saturday night. Ordered a large pizza, chicken and mojos. The food was ready in 30 mins not to bad considering it was busy. Food was great and excellent customer service.

Shakey’s Pizza Parlor was unfamiliar to me until 12÷23÷15.
My family and I were pleasantly surprised by the pizza actually. It took a little more than 10 minutes for it to be brought out — piping hot. Our order: Pepperoni, salami & bacon. Firm crust on the bottom. Good cheese & meats. Not overly greasy. Crust on the edges was soft enough for our 1-​year-​old to mash up with the few molars she has.
The «mojos» — semi-​thin oval-​shaped deep fried potatoes — were good. Just add a little salt and slightly mash them in some shake parmesan cheese (provided at each table) and it makes them even better.
I was kind of sad they didn’t offer milk. They did have some free ice water available. Small cups only are given.
The service was nice. They were a bit overwhelmed, but the place was pretty packed while we were there at around 1 p.m. Kids running around everywhere. Parents ignoring them. Welcome to the Millennial Generation.
Seating was rough in my opinion. Just know you might be super close to your neighbor.
It’s fairly loud inside. I’m horrible at lip-​reading, so I didn’t get to chat with my husband much.
The game/​arcade area was much smaller than anticipated.
My final qualm… the restrooms were probably much cleaner before these three older girls were horsing around in there. They apologized to me, but their actions led to an unsafe environment. (They were splashing sink water at each other. A parent came in to yell at them as we were going back out so I didn’t address the issue.)
As a franchise, I like what Shakey’s offers for our youth. I hope to have much better experiences at this particular location as our girls get older someday.

Came here to have pizza with the kids. Good spot for loud kids, this place is really busy and loud. The food is good. We had the pepperoni, cheese large pizza with full order of mojos and fried chicken. The deep dish is pretty darn good. I was disappointed that their soda machine was busted. Seems to be a common occurrence based on other reviews on here. The biggest problem is this location is pretty cramped. There are lots of tables placed close together and it is too tight for my liking. The fun zone is really tiny and with all the kids and their parents it is anxiety provoking. Overall good food. Place needs to expand. I would not go back to this location on a Saturday evening.

Just a horrible place. Untidy, drinks dispenser is all messed up with all the ice scattered everywhere, tables are all too close together, the manager is just there joking around with his employees/​co-​workers.
Mainly a place for teens to hangout, not really comfortable here, i’d rather drive to another location than come back here.
The place feels like i am in some random shady outside restaurant in downtown l.a.

We always have birthday celebrations at this location and service Has always been okay nothing to brag about. Today was totally different thanks the manager Avelio, he made sure we had our food out fast, he kept asking if we need anything. We had 10 pizzas and 5 platters of mojos and chicken and all came out literally all at once, so no one was waiting to eat. We enjoys our evening and my son had a blast. Thank you Avelio and staff for making my sons 5^th birthday very memorable!

Worst experience ever in any restaurant was here and worst service also! First off I made a phone order to avoid long lines and when I went to the front to let them know I’m here for pick up they make me wait 30 minutes while they clear their line. Meanwhile I’m staring at my pizzas in a warmer getting soggy! Finally I’m up and when I tell them my name under the order they automatically tell me I made a mistake and I’m at the wrong one. Minutes of back and forth with a rude cashier they finally think maybe they made a mistake and put my order under a name that wasn’t even close to resemble my name. (While my pizzas sit in warmer). After 1 hour at the place I get my pizzas which are cold now and are not worth the price and time I spent there, so I ask for my money back and I leave disappointed.

Super small parking lot. The service lady was cool but the food sucked ordered a thin crust pizza and the bottom waz burned… Plus the place is over priced … Never going back!!!

Food was horrible… pizza was uncooked and my mushrooms were so hard they had to cook it twice to just get the pizza warm but not the mushrooms… service was ok but it left a bad mark on me that i wont ever go there again.

This is my second time here and both times they have fixed issues quickly and kindly.
The server was quick to get our issues resolved to make sure we were satisfied.
I would recommend and I would return here.

good food and service, but the place is surrounded by thugs. my car was broken into in the backlot while directly under the light and surveillance camera. when the footage was reviewed, it was unclear due to obstruction of spiderwebs. the manager I spoke with stated Shakey’s takes no liability for break-​ins on their premises.
if they are at all concerned about their patrons and appearance nonetheless, they would hire someone to patrol the area, remove the potsmokers loitering in the backlot, as well as remove the empty beer cans that sat in the front of the facility by the entrance. this location has undoubtedly lost many customers, as I was there for a fundraiser my family conducts there at least once a year.

It used to be way petter back in 2000 since they remodeled it’s so not the same. Pizza still good thou I still stop by at least twice a year.

With a schedule like mine I sometimes have to resort to some fast food for dinner. With that said, why not have something that’s going to be worth it? I grew up eating fried chicken and Shakey’s is my favorite place to go for it, at the moment. The meat is 90% of the time juicy and tender. Gotta love the mojos and even though I’m not a fan of thin crust pizza, I do love theirs.
The restaurant itself is always busy so I don’t even bother eating there. Just waiting in the line to place or even pickup your order is huge. The service is «ok» which is why I gave it a lower rating but the food makes up for it. Another thing that’s missing is… DELIVERY! Man I wish they delivered because I’d order it more often which is I guess, a good thing.
I recommend trying the chicken with ketchup mixed with Red Rooster hot sauce. It’s good!

Awesome. Everything is good from the pizza to the drinks and vibe. Only thing its kind of dirty but food and customer service is good. I do recommend. Also what i like about this place is thats its not usually busy.

I love shakey’s. Its always our go to when we have my son’s birthday party (we avoid chucky cheese due to the horrible food, lazy parents who let there hell spawn rampage around, and the possible germs, sal manela, or possible e bola virus lurking in those indoor jungle gyms).
The staff at Shakey’s was great and I wish I remembered the girl’s name that helped us because when you have a last minute party to throw it good to know that you are dealing with good people. the staff there was really helpful which reduced the stress. Our group was late but she made sure our pizzas came in as our group got bigger so that there was always hot pizzas and chicken. We bought a cake and she put it in their feeezer for us. And everytime I asked for something she served with a smile… and after all that my dumb ass forgot to tip her… if you are out there I apologize. Believe me I felt horrible the next day when I realized what I did.

I have been to this location one time and i like the fact that we did not have to wait that long for them to make our food, which is awesome when you are starving right?
compared to other Shakey’s the decorations and the environment inside was really nice and clean.

Slow, slow service. Took forever to order and get our food. Rude cashiers. Small salad bar.
There was a guy (without a name tag) busing the tables who brought us out or food who was courteous.
On our way out my daughter was holding the door open. Manager walked right in and passed us, didn’t even say thank you. Rude!

Shakeys is a fairly decent place. Not the best place for food but has definitely been a great hang out place for family get-​togethers.
Although I’m not very fond of the food there is one specialty pizza that I love at shakeys. It’s a BBQ pizza with sausage; simply delicious. I leave you Unilocalers on that note.
