WARNING!!! Don’t get your hair done here at all!!!
They use super cheap hair dye so cheap it makes your head burn and itch all at the same time! Horrible! I would always come in with my mom to get our eyebrows done and they did an okay job the girls are friendly and have nothing bad to say about their customer service but one day we came in and a new person that works there as a hair stylist went up to us while waiting to get our eyebrows done and told us how they are doing hair color and cuts there now, so we went back 2 weeks later to get color touch up. Well their dye was soooooo cheap that my head was burning and itchy it was horrible and my mom felt the same, we told the girl and she said we must have sensitive skin witch that’s not true since I’ve bleached my hair several times and my mom has too and we have never had that problem, keep in mind all she applied was a copper color and for my mom a dark brown so no reason for it to burn so much. The color faded the second time I washed my hair… Pretty much the hair dye came off!
PLEASE DO NOT GET Your hair done here!!!
They charged me $ 65 and for my mom the same amount so we ended up paying $ 130 for both of us! A waste of money!

I’m annoying when it comes to my eyebrows. They must be just so… Up until now I could only get them done in Brea but I had a last minute party and no time for Brea. This place came through with flying colors! My brows are beautifully threaded to perfection no need for touch ups, powder, pencil, gel, wax or whatever else we use now to tweak the brows we were born with to the ones we want. Oh did I mention no bumps, no skin tears, no disparity! So happy to have found this place!

I’ve been coming to this location since they opened a few years ago and have been attended by a couple good artists. However more recently I have been extremely happy with the work of Ishu! She takes her time and does an excellent job keeping my eyebrows at a really nice shape. I never have to go in a give a full explanation of what I want, she knows what she’s doing and does it well. For the past few months that I’ve been going with her I haven’t once been disappointed, so I thought it was time to give her a review. She’s great!

Yesterday I went to get my eyebrows and Angie did an excellent job, my eyebrows are really difficult to work with but Angie did them exactly how I pictured them in my mind, I will never go anywhere else, big Kudos Angie, thank you for being so professional and patient with me.

I came into Milas for eyebrow threading. This place was recommended. Angie did great work! I had told her about a previous bad experience and she shaped my eyebrows perfectly. I am very satisfied and will be coming again, with Angie of course ;-).

Service was OK. The job? Not well done. Came In for eyebrow threading and I came out with very thin uneven eyebrows. I decided to do my upper lip as well and now my whole mouth area stings. As I go to the register I am told that I need to fill in my information on a tablet screen I ask why do they need all my information and they tell me that is just a method for me to be able to pay. To me it seems ridiculous why do they need my information anyway I don’t think I will be coming back.

Angie is great! She has been working on my eyebrows for a long while now and I get lots of compliments on how nicely shaped they are! She’s also a sweetheart. Highly recommend her. Overall this place has been good to me. If you’re in Downey, pay her a visit :)

Love this place! Get my brows and upper lip done. Please ask for Ishu. She does an excellent job service is always very welcoming and pleasant. Glad I come here now. They also do really good facials. Got a really good deal last month. Reasonable prices and they are open late. Highly recommend this place. Thank you Millas for great service every time

Angie sabe exactamente como dejarte las cejas que parese que andas asta maquillada. She is great at doing eyebrows. Noone was able to leave them just how I like them until I came with Angie. I always come with her. I recommend her a lot and give her 5 stars

I went in to get my eyebrows done and my usual girl wasn’t there. I should have walked right out at this point but Said I’ll give this new girl a shot… big mistake. She completely ruined my brows it’s like she did them with her eyes closed. I WILL NEVER trust anyone other than Tifanny. My brothers wedding is a week away and this other girl completely ruined my brows… so dissapointed!!!

0 stars. Came here because i read some good reviews. Everytime we go there is someone new. Yesterday i took my daughter after waiting for about 10 min and noticing that no one was there except the owner i asked if anyone was there. Very disappointed that he didnt have the cortesy to say anything. He finally said someone was there but they were waxing so they will be done in 5minutes. After 20 min wait and no update we just left. Wont be going there anymore.

This review if for the way the cheap owner runs his business. I bought a facial in December have called a few times to go in to redeem my facial. Every time there is no one available and I need to call back. They can never accommodate me. The goths eho work here are nice but the owner sucks. Je needs to either hire more people of sell this shop to a person with business skills. Plus he won’t refund me my money. I will never return.

This review was regarding my recent visit. I had my eyebrows and lips done-​turned out great! They then offered to do my eyelashes so I tried it-​big mistake. I went to another place to get these extensions removed and had a terrible time! The place said they used way too much glue and were surprised they didn’t put any type of protection under my eyes during the process. It was my first time so I didn’t have a clue what was happening. They never told me I couldn’t close my eyes all the way and almost led to my eyes being glued shut. The glue also got all over my bottom lashes and clumped up my regular lashes so I’m now dealing with trying to cover up this mess. I really liked this place for threading, I also have had a facial and it was so-​so. Don’t recommend this place for anything else. Also the end result was cheap looking lashes that were unevenly spaced out and placed. Very disappointed.

No stars! The girl here, I’m assuming Indian is horrible. I first had a Hispanic girl doing my daughters eyebrows. She was wonderful. Third time there she was gone. Now it’s only the Indian girl who does not take pride in her work. She messed up the shape in my daughters (15yrs old) eyebrows. I wish at the very least they would have been symmetrical but they looked horrid. Thank god it’s over summer and they can grow out but I DO NOT recommend this place. Unless you want uneven brows and service given by a rude girl who could careless if your not happy with the results.

Okay – after a year in Downey – decided to look for a new eyebrow spot close to home. Epic fail! Went in after reading the Unilocal reviews (I honestly think they delete the bad reviews) hoping to find my new spot.
It was early – only one young (mean) girl attending two ladies. The last one leaves – she takes her to the register – gets her money, thanks her… asks me to sit in stall #2. Then — she grabs string and proceeds — UM NOOOOOO!!! Wash your hands!!! Wash your hands. I want to cry!
So, I politely ask – «are you going to wash your hands?» She is visibly upset. Says, «What?» And so I repeat, «it’s just that you just got done with two customers – you touched cash…» She tells me, «I’ll sanitize, but I cannot wash my hands!» I feel like I’m in a movie – and I sit thinking – should I leave??? I decide to stay-​thinking – you really need your eyebrows done! She tells me, «you want done or no?». I still stay!!? Ha. So she begins – and I say, «I’m sorry, please don’t be mad.» And she says, «why would I be mad at you, you’re nothing to me». Hahahhahahahaha! I’m nothing? Just a paying customer…
Still on the search for a clean place in Downey. Guess with 6 bucks – you’re not exactly paying for Anastasia – lol

Update — stopped going, the quality decreased. My eyebrows have lost their shape. Disappointed.

Stopped in after seeing this place for a few years. Clean, serene and uncluttered.
Sophia was professional, polite and thorough. She worked quickly and did a fantastic job. They have a few products for sale — all relevant.
I definitely recommend. You feel refreshed after the service. Definitely ready to go back!

UPDATE: Esther is no longer there she was the only one I trusted there after one of the other girls messed my eyebrows up so I am no longer going here.
Amazing eyebrow place! Its a must stop when youre in this neighborhood. Ask for Esther shes the best threader there is. I always call to make sure she is there.

$ 5.99 for threading in Downey is a pretty reasonable rate. Sure, you’ll find places for only $ 5 but I think the convenience of this place wins for me since it’s only about 5 minutes from where I live. Parking is in a very small lot but you shouldn’t run into any problems. When I went, I waited for about 15 minutes because there was only one person threading. There are two other chairs so maybe it was a day when they were understaffed.
I wish they had a frequent user stamp card like other places but the lady said that they would have some next year. Worth trying if you’re trying to stay local and don’t want to get ripped off by $$$ Ziba!
