Excellent service. Great food. Try the cheeseburger… duh. It is scrumptious. Dinning area needs to be cleaned up a bit

I read mixed reviews but when I went it was very clean and the serving sizes were huge. My family of four had the family meal and we have a lot left over. The burgers them selves were great.

Was not happy with this place! It was my first time here and last! The food is so so what’s worse is the cleanliness!

Nasty service. I go to school down the street and we only have 30 minutes for lunch the cook just wants to flirt with the cashier in the back then both came out like they were doing something didn’t even want to wash their hands the cashier nails were dirty like she had been digging dirt. Then I asked if the cook started with the order then he wants to speak Spanish working in America knowing I am Asian. Not everybody speaks Spanish. Very unprofessional. Proceed with my order and ordered the Chicken Teriyaki. My chicken was not fully cooked. Oh and don’t even use the stupid game they have in there it eats the coins then when you ask them if they can replace it they make a big deal like the quarter was coming from their retirement plan. Anyways I’ve given enough of my time here. I gotta go back to my class.

I’ve gone to this burger place for many years and I have never had a complaint until today. I ordered two tuna sandwiches and they were both frozen. I took one bite out of my sandwich and instantly I felt the cold. It was as if they had just taken the tuna and recently pulled it out of the freezer. I’m sad because I really like this place, and usually the service and food is great. I Even recommend people to come here. I’m usually not one to complain because I understand that things happen but I just don’t see how you could make a sandwich knowing that the mix is frozen. Anyways, I’d say it’s still a decent place, but stay away from the tuna sandwich unless you want a brain freeze.

So far my only concern is staff. They can be short and come off as rude sometimes. Other than that I like how they cook the food right when you order it. They also do it right in front of you so you can see everything. The food is average not the best.

I stopped here today to grab some french fries. So this place doesn’t look so great but that’s beside the point. When I walked in, there was a lady sweeping the floor, she stopped and walked over to the register to take my order. So I ordered my fries and as I was reaching into my bag to get my money, she walked over to the grill to pull out the bag of fries and dumped them into the grease. I thought«eew gross» she didnt even wash her hands. Then I thought ok she didn’t really touch my fries with her dirty hands. So I didn’t make it a big deal. She continued sweeping, when my fries were done, I politely asked her, «can you please wash your hands before you handle my fries?» She gave me a very confused look, she didn’t seem to understand me, so I showed her, rubbing my hands together. She ufinally understood what I meant. So before walking away to wash her hands, she rolled her eyes at me like I was crazy for asking her to wash her dirty hands before touching my food. Remember she was sweeping the floo, touched the dirt register, grabbed my money, continued sweeping and then tried to touch my food without washing her hands. NASTY!!! Better a dirty look, than food poisoning. Thats rule number 1, wash your hands before handling any food.

It’s a typical local burger joint. No air conditioning so it’s hot inside. No drive thru so you’d have to step inside to order. I ordered a chicken salad and it was huge. The chicken was generously seasoned so I didn’t add much italian dressing. Cheap prices as well.

I like how convenient it is to me here in downey, great to eat out at a fast food restaurant and not go to a packed out place like tams or doublz, they cook fairly good cant complain and the best part is that its so calm inside, there affordably priced so thumbs up.

Ok this place is really great! I live in Silverlake-Echo park area about 40 minutes away(usually 1 – 2 hours on a weekday with traffic) but whenever I can I will come here. Why? The answer, their chicken teriyaki plate. This is to die for! THEBESTCHICKENTERIYAKIEVER! They put so much chicken and the the another it and the rice with that yummy sauce. Plus the salad on the side with ranch. To DIEFOR! I love pouring on the sirachi sauce on top because I love heat. With all that and a refreshing coke, I NEEDMORE! The old Asian lady is real nice and the cook is really cool too, though they aren’t fluent English speakers, they are awesome! I truly recommend this awesome place to everyone. Get the teriyaki chicken plate… SERIOUSLYGONOW!!!

I’ve eaten here many times before since I moved in to Downey. The main focus in this restaurant are the burgers, they make some excellent burgers and dinner plates. J.J. knows how to make some pretty damn good burgers; pretty big too: they’re normally four to five inches wide and around two inches high. The fries are pretty good too and you can ask to add more seasoning to the fries if you crave more kick in your pack. Drinks are what you would expect from many burger joints though. You can grab yourself a good, filling meal for under ten bucks. Another good selection is the New York steak dinner, the steak comes with fries, onion rings, and a salad; A1 sauce included. The Teriyaki bowl is really good too, comes with the choice of either beef or chicken. Chicken stripes are great too, nice and crispy, better with the good ol’ ketchup on top. Breakfast is another good thing here, from eggs to polish sausage, they got most of the good stuff. Each plate always comes with a choice of either white or wheat toast too, the breakfast can be pretty filling too for those who want a big start on the day. I’m not much of a fan of Mexican food but they have some decent plates as well, as mentioned earlier: the main focus of this restaurant are the burgers and dinner plates. A majority of what is served here fits the bill for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; all for under ten bucks. The joint isn’t exactly fancy or anything, but it has good stuff, plenty to sit. Although the seats outside aren’t too good and you’ll be slapped in the face sunlight due to the lack of shade. Humble little place, if you’re anywhere nearby this little joint, I recommend trying it if you’re hungry!

It’s your typical ghetto burger joint. 1000 island on everything! They have really good deals and the food is ok. If you go and order fries near closing time they’ll hook you up with the rest of the batch. Yes, me and my vegan gf did this and we are not ashamed.

For a burger joint, this is as good as it gets! I’ve been going to this same restaurant for almost 10 years. The burgers are delicious and even their smallest combination of burger and fries are very filling. I’ve never tasted a burger I didn’t like here.

Rule # 1 of Mexican food In any place that serves Mexican food and burgers the Mexican food will suck. Rule # 2 of Mexican food If you are offered a salad as a side dish this isn’t anything even close to authentic Mexican. You WILL be furiously disappointed. The correct course of action… the only course of action, is to say thank you and walk out. I know these rules because I invented these rules. I believe in these rules because they have held true in several cities in a variety of states over many years. There is no use in fighting. The rules are the rules. So when the girl asked what dressing I’d like on my salad why didn’t I walk? Um, because I’m an idiot? An idiot that was hungry and somehow hoped that this would be the one exception to the rule. No. The rules are the rules. At least 10% of the meat was gristle including one full, chewy, fatty, rather distasteful bite. The salsa was strangely sweet and inedible. The spicy carrots tasted like the can had sat punctured for several weeks on some shelf before the owners opened it and offered up it’s contaminated contents to us it’s treasured customers. So my dear fellow Unilocalers the pain has already been endured. Consider this warning and head to safer culinary options in ANY other direction. In the mean time I’m going to go brush my teeth again.
