Anderson Window & Gutter Cleaning

1. I wasn’t complaining that life isn’t perfect; I was complaining that no one called or showed up when I was told they would.
2. Tom came out and made this right. He cleaned out the gutters, picked up the debris and even took pictures to show the work. I would recommend this company the next time you need window/​gutter services.

I would recommend Anderson to anyone that need their windows and gutters cleaned. Their office staff is very nice, organized, dependable and keeps an open line of communication. They call to remind you of your set appointments, they will also call if there were a change in the weather giving you notice that they will not be out, as well as rescheduling you so the work can be done. The prices are very doable and the overall customer service from the office staff to the field workers are outstanding. Everything is clean and neat when they leave and they even TAKE THE TRASH WITH THEM WHEN THEY LEAVE!!! LESS WORK FOR US, YOU CAN’T BEAT THAT!!!

First time I called to schedule, we were told the gutters would be scheduled to clean the next week. We were quoted $ 150. No one ever showed up or called. Second time I called, we were told the gutters would be scheduled to clean the next week. Again, no one ever showed up. I think this is their standard response. A couple weeks later, we received a phone call asking us if the work had been performed to our satisfaction — but the work had never been performed. It was finally scheduled for that week. The person they sent to perform the job called first and asked what we had been quoted and if we had gutter guards. We told him $ 150 and we had gutter inserts. He seemed very displeased and told us it would be an additional $ 25 to remove these inserts and dispose of them. They arrived and performed the work. That evening, my son was outside and found the gutter inserts laying in our yard, in the bushes, and stuck in the tops of trees. The invoice reflected a charge of $ 200, which had been crossed out and written in as $ 175. Overall, our experience with this company was unsatisfactory. I would not recommend them to anyone, and we will never use them again. Forgot to mention they trampled my Hydrangeas and destroyed a bush in my front yard landscaping.

With my gutters a season behind on cleaning, and a newly fallen front gutter panel from this past winter’s ferocity sticking out like a sore thumb, my poor house was definitely in need of some service and attention. I did some online research and found Anderson out of Downers Grove. I gave ‘em a call to confirm that they serviced the Oak Brook area and set up an appointment very easily over the phone.
Being my first time using their services, I left work in the middle of the day so I could at least meet their crew at my house to get the cleaning started and point out what I needed to have done. That being said, the Anderson crew took care of all the details, hauling away the «gutter junk» and re-​affixing the fallen panel. When they completed the job, they left the invoice in the mailbox.
They couldn’t have made it any easier to work with them. Super professional service and quality work; will definitely be calling them again.

Cannot believe this has been a repeated problem– but they scheduled a date and did not bother to show up. They called and said they did not work in the current weather– which was 90 degrees, sunny and no wind. Not only did they not show, but they never followed up to reschedule. How do businesses operate this way?

They cleaned the gutters on a two story home and on the garage. They cleaned the gutters with a leaf blower and by hand. The wet, soggy leaves were placed in a bucket and taken to the street for the city to pick-​up. There were not any globs or mounds of leaves left on the ground. A ver good job,… just like they do every year.

This company is horrible. They gave me a date but on the scheduled day they didn’t show up. When I called they were very confused and later found me on their list for the following week. The man I spoke to did not seems to care at all when I said I was going to go with another company and didn’t even give me and apology. Apparently they don’t need my business!

Obviously the economy is better than I thought. It must be when companies don’t even bother to call or show up for their appointments.
The windows in my house needed washing. Deperately. I called Anderson to make an appointment to get my windows washed. Simple request, right? I guess not.
The guy I spoke to on the phone the first time was efficient but didn’t necesarily build my trust– it felt like I was talking to a start up company that had not been in business long. He kept remembering additional charges-​$ 100 service call fee for one and a scraping fee, and a…well you get the point. I wasn’t reassured that they were not going to nickel and dime me to death but I made the appointment anyway as they had an opening the next day at 12:30 and since I was off of work that day, I took it.
On that day, I sat around the house and finally called them at 1:30 to check up on the appointment. The girl who answered the phone this time, after hearing my plight could only mutter «oh wow». Really? How about telling me where the technician was, or when he was going to be there? Nothing.
So after I hung up the phone with her, I did another search and came up with Bubbles to handle my window washing needs and they couldn’t have done a better job (check out that review) They were amazing in their follow up and follow through.
The end of the story? At 6:30 that night, 6 hours after someone was supposed to be at my home I got a message on my phone saying that they couldn’t come that day but could the next. Sorry, Anderson. You were about 6 hours too late. I got my work done elsewhere.
