I think the biggest surprise to waiters is when you can understand and speak Spanish. Very friendly waiter and one waiter even came over to help see if we couldn’t understand the menu or talk to the waiter. My brother and I both ordered chicken entrees and fried calamari. Brother had chicken with a mushroom sauce and I had grilled chicken. The fried calamari came out first as an appetizer. The sauce would have been really great if it was a bit thicker, but it wasn’t too over powering which was great. Calamari was perfectly fried and seasoned, really light appetizer. Food came out maybe ten minutes later and was very filling. Portions were generous and very flavorful. Tasty cream of mushroom sauce. All in all great Columbian food for a great price, I will definitely come back here again to try more things on the menu.

I saw a waitress scooping sangria into a pitcher for service. The container was not covered and placed on the bottom of a refrigerator. I’m not sure they know how long that batch was sitting there. Extremely disheartening and I haven’t visited since.

The best Colombian restaurant I’ve been to. My fiancé and I frequently visited this establishment and always enjoyed the meals. You get a lot of food for the money.

Let me start off by saying that when you first find Sabor Latino it looks like it’s closed but it isn’t. The atmosphere is great and so is the service. I’m Colombian and I’ve had many Colombian food before and it was really good. I got the plain chicken breast and it was 12.25 but for the amount you pay you get so much. You get rice and beens, salad, and your main entrée. I would have given it 5 stars but my mom said that her food was cold. I recommend this place

Extremely reasonable and a wide selection on their menu however the sangria is loaded with sugar and never made fresh. The waitress got it’ll the Sangria out of a bucket in the cabinet and said it was made the day before. I went there after they sprayed for bugs and there were dead roaches on the floor. Guess it’s a good thing they spray. There are much better places in Dover.

Spanish or English what and why does it matter? Speak english when you walk in and they will communicate with you in English. Most everyone speaks english anyway. I find this is true 99% of the time. The Menu is in Spanish and English. We go here after church. Kids love it. The food is wholesome and delicious. We order 3 or 4 common dishes and share them among the 6 of us. The corn pies with cheese and a side of steak or pork are served hot AND juicy. The colombian sausage, cow tongue and fried pork belly are spot on with the spicy sauce on the side. The rice and beans with egg are cooked spot on. The bar is nice addition for those who want to start off the afternoon with a little zip. The prices are reasonable.

Spanish is not my first language. As such, I was a little lost coming in and the staff was busy and not very attentive. You need to be able to get their attention. Having said that, I satbdown and was given a menu and greeted in spanish, which I understand completely. After I communicated to the waitress that I did not speak spanish well she began speaking to me in perfect English. Seems you just have to let someone know you prefer English and they are more than happy to accommodate you. I had breakfast here and modified some of the menu offerings, which was no problem for them. The scrambled eggs with tomato and onion and peppers was very flavorful and pebabky my favorite part. Good areas with cheese and the chorzi was great! Chicharrones were also food, crispy without being hard as a rock and enough texture to chew. The house aji was also outstanding… Not too spicy but the freshness of the cilantro brightened each food item. Coffee could have been stronger and was tepid The décor is very simple and it needs better lighting; the service adequate. The downstairs restroom was vile. It seemend as if part was out ofmorder but they didnt need to post a sign as itbwas evudent to. the senses that something was.wrong. If I had experienced the restroom first, I wouldn’t have had my meal there. We opted to find alternate facilities.

Such an insane amount of good food for a very low price! The beef tongue is out of this world… so good, so tender. I don’t know more then two words of Spanish and have to say this person who didn’t feel welcome… well anyway, I’ve never felt like that there. The service was always very friendly. If you don’t feel comfortable somewhere where everyone is speaking Spanish don’t go to any restaurants in Dover!

I have been twice for business meetings. There is a large room in the basement for larger parties. I have never eaten dinner here. The service has alway been quick. There food is served family style and there is more than enough to go around. The owner always came into the room and made sure everyone was happy. The waiters were quick to bring drinks. The food was excellent. We had a sampling of empanadas, chicken, pork and ribs. All had a distinct flavor. I would recommend Sabor Latino for a party and look forward to coming back

La Bandeja Motañera(Paisa) estuvo bastante rica. Pero se pidió tostones y se trajo algo re-frito o hecho horas antes. Horrible.

This is our go to place for a good meal, but we recently got married, DIY style, and decided to roll the dice on using them for catering. Wilson, the owner, handled everything with us smoothly and with ease. He even found 2 cater waitresses for us, and we paid them directly – the restaurant does not make a cut. That’s the sort of kindness we dealt with from the start. We were told two things at our wedding, «Congratulations» and«Where did this food come from?» It’s the day after, and we are still eating the food from yesterday! It was absolutely amazing and delicious. We had steak, chicken, yellow rice, penne vodka, and salad, and every single thing was outstanding. We love it so much, no one is allowed over to share in the leftovers. It is also worth noting that the prices for catering are extremely reasonable for the quality of food that they provide! We can’t stop saying enough about this place!!! 1000 stars!

Had dinner here tonight with two friends. My second time here, their first. I ordered the Churasco Sabor Latino, it was just delicious. Melted in your mouth. My other friend ordered the same. And the last person with us ordered the Pork Loin. We were all extremely satisfied with our meals. They gave us so much we ended up taking home doggie bags. Had some cocktails also. Reasonably priced. The Yucca appetizer was also very yummy it was in this sauce that made you want to just lick the plate clean. Will definitely be coming back. Our waiter Ricky was just great.

Let me start by saying, as someone who is not a native Spanish speaker, I did not feel very welcome at this restaurant. The establishment had two entrances. We had entered at the bar entrance. No one had directed us as to where to go. We decided to move on our own to the restaurant area where we were finally directed to stay ourselves. My girlfriend had ordered the trout frances and I ordered the bandeja montañera. I am a fan of imported sodas, so I ordered the manzana soda. server warned me I may not like it, but I assured him I still wanted the drink. After about 15 minutes, the couple sitting behind us, whose order was taken about 5 minutes after our order, was served their food before we were. Also note they had ordered the same dishes as us. After another 10 minutes, we inquired another server about our food. Our food came shortly afterwards. We knew our order was forgotten as the good was served lukewarm. The bandeja montañera was good, but it’s a typical dish I could order elsewhere. There was nothing special that would make me want to return for it. The sauce of the trout frances was good, but because it was boned, it made it difficult to eat. In all it was«okay». Our main complaint was the service. On top of forgetting our order, when asking for another pepper shaker because there was red«gunk» on top, I received this response along with attitude«why, cause it looks weird». In summary, the food was good/okay, but because of the service, I don’t see us coming back.

Best Colombian food I have ever had outside of Colombia. I ordered a coffee and the country breakfast. The food came out fast and was delicious. It was served with a fresh home made hot sauce. I will be coming back here often.

Huge portions! I’m not a connoisseur of ethnic food, but they had menu options for just about anyone. I had chicken w mushroom cream sauce which passed for me, but while I was eating it I could only hear Gordon Ramsay in my head saying«Canned Mushrooms?! Come On! Look at this, it’s drowning in cream sauce!!» I also ate half of my wife’s steak for her. Don’t spend too much time emptying plates here or you’ll need to join the Zumba class that happens downstairs in the function room! The food scores three stars and the portion elevates it to four.

I had only been to Sabor once, and I haven’t had Columbian food before to compare it to, but my general impressions were pretty good. The man who was our server was very friendly and didn’t mind all the questions I asked him. Based off the stuff I liked he affirmed my selection of entrée which was very good, the country platter. The prices for this place were also excellent, you’re paying over 10 an entrée but just over for the most part. As for the reviewer who said this place was both expensive and dishes where 12 a plate, I’m not really sure what they pay for dinner in Texas, but in NJ12 a dinner it pretty damn cheap. Also this place is extremely casual. If you were wearing a shirt and jeans i think your on par for attire. As for the establishment we went for dinner and they had a decent sized crowed, it wasn’t packed but there were a few big tables full of people. Our table was 9 alone so it seemed like a lot of big groups came here and they accommodated them well. All in all I think I would like to come back here and try some of their other dishes.
