Rich Demanowski is a creative black & white youth photographer whose work pays tribute to the magic of childhood. Rich’s child portraits — or «childscapes» — take a candid look at children’s lives by capturing them not in a studio, but in their natural environment. Whether that is at home, in a park, on a beach, or at a church, capturing your child in a special place where they can be comfortable being themselves leads to the most raw and magical imagery. Rich’s photography is also unique in that it is all done on black & white film, removing the distraction of color. This leaves only the essence of the child — the color of their soul. History

Established in 2001.

I’ve been making photographs since I was 6 years old.

After schooling and a career in Computer Science and software development — a field which I still enjoy dabbling in (I’m a huge fan of Linux and FreeBSD, and tinker with computers regularly) — I felt it was time to take a different direction.

So, in 2001 I decided to strike out on my own, go into business for myself, and make a living with my love of image making.
