Nascar Racing & Mario Andretti Experience

Not only are they expensive, but their customer service is HORRIBLE. There are not many locations offered for these races, so we decided to go to the Dover Speedway (approximately 2−½ hours away). About half way into the drive we hit heavy traffic, which kept pushing our arrival time back. We called customer service to tell them that our GPS had us arriving approximately 45 minutes late, and asked if that would be okay. The women responded «no need to worry, everything will be fine, just continue driving to the Speedway».
Once we arrived at our destination, we were refused the purchased service and told we could not do the experience we paid for because we missed our time slot. I explained to them that I had already called and spoken to someone about being late and was told this would not be a problem. They then offered us an alternative drive, which was a FRACTION of the price we paid. We declined and asked if we could just reschedule. They refused. I called back customer service to discuss this and was told that they were already accommodating us by offering us the lesser service and that they «don’t have to do that». I told them I was not going to pay for a service I did not get and that I would dispute the charges with my credit card company if they did not give us a refund. Their response was «Do what you have to do».
Besides wasting 6 hours of our time in driving, we also wasted a half hour on the phone arguing with their customer service rep. If they were not going to let us do the race we paid for, they should have told us that from the beginning and saved us the trouble of driving all the way there. We left not only feeling extremely disappointed, but we were angry at the service we received. No company should EVER talk to their customers that way. We left a half hour early to ensure a prompt arrival time, but like everyone else, we cannot predict things like the weather and traffic. We were not asking for anything crazy, we simply wanted to do the service we paid for! Instead we were given horrible customer service and left empty handed. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
