Meet the Business Owner
Kevin W.
Business Owner
Kevin began training martial arts as a child, at the age of 9 years old. He received his black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of 16 and was promoted to a second degree black belt at 18 years old. He then began studying other forms of fighting including boxing, kick boxing, and finally found a true passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Kevin holds a black belt under the instruction of Marcelo Alonso of Seattle, WA. Marcelo Alonso is the former head instructor of the Carlson Gracie Academy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and has numerous champion black belts and MMA fighters under his name. More can be learned about Marcelo at www.mabjj.com
Kevin aims to bring the sport Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and no-gi (also know as submission wrestling) techniques that he has learned– and continues to learn– from Marcelo to the seacoast area. KWBJJ is continuously striving to make a name as a competition school and hopes to add even more championship-title-holding students to its ranks.
