I really enjoyed my experience at Tokyo Steakhouse. The food was delicious from beginning to end. The chef was entertaining. The atmosphere was calming. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This place was recommended by our local friend. We saw«A» rating sticker on the door and thought we were safe. My husband had to ran to the bathroom as soon as he finished his meal –serious food poisoning. It caught up with me on the road and lasted more than 24 hours. The place has a serious problem, if your health is important to you-STAY AWAY!!! The restaurant uses bad ingredients! The wait time is too long. The food served wasn’t the food ordered. The place was so cold that we had to ask to adjust the temperature but they refused stating that place will heat up with hibachi grills. It is also not clean. They used a lot of chlorine in the bathroom– I think to mask the bad smell.

the service was good, which is the reason i gave 2 stars instead of 1… but the food was disappointing. we ordered hibachi and there were not enough vegetables, and the overall taste of the entrée did not meet our expectations. the sushi was also nasty. the food was not worth the price.

Great service, great sushi. We ordered 2 rolls and some nigiri, fish was fresh, nigiri pieces were chunky and nice. I will definitely recommend this place!

Great service and delicious food, what more can you ask for? We had the hibachi(filet & shrimp) without the show. We usually sit at the big table but this time we didn’t have a lot of time so we just sat in the regular dining room. The food was just as delicious but we were in and out in about 40 min. Perfection!

Great food with a friendly staff. I had Sushi with a shrimp tempura app. Both were delicious. My meal came with a cucumber salad starter and sherbet for desert which was a nice surprise.

Let’s just start with saying that reservations don’t seem to matter much here — they really can’t be bothered too badly to honor them. We had a reservation for 8 pm one night and it was forty five minutes late before they troubled themselves to seat us. The atmosphere is thoroughly enjoyable. The quality of food is decent and the value is fair — the performance of the cooks seems somewhat hot and cold(and for me personally, half the reason why I chose to go to a hibachi is for the entertainment). It was very boiler plate for the most part… Nothing worth going out of your way for if they’re just going to ignore you for the first 45 minutes. We had fun, but wouldn’t kill ourselves to come back.

Placed a reservation at 4:30 with 10 guests. Easily found it. The décor inside was cozy and felt culturally invigorating. We were quickly seated because it opened at 4, and we were one of the few groups there. Since the waiter had nothing to do considering the lack of people, she served us our drinks, soups, and salads in no time. The soup was delicious. Yum! I didn’t try the salad due to a strict no salad diet initiated by my taste buds. Everything was going great. Then the chef came. His name was Sonny I believe. Funniest guy I’ve ever met. During his whole amazing, dexterous performance he never stopped smiling and telling jokes that kept us surprised, shocked, or just laughing. He was so entertaining. The whole time the waiter kept our drinks full dedicatedly(is this a real word?). I would also like to applaud the chef for his memory skills. Steak, filet mignon, shrimp, jumbo shrimp, lobster, chicken, rare, medium rare, medium, medium well, very well. He memorized them all. I received the filet mignon, and it melted in my mouth. I didn’t believe steak could melt, but somehow denying all common sense it did. The mushrooms added that extra flavor and texture that always goes perfectly with steak. At the end, was ice cream that came with the meal. Also delicious even though I rarely eat it(I know, Shocker!). Fabulous food. Great, fast service. Hilarious, enrapturing chef. To-die-for food. Great ending. Would totally go here again if only I didn’t live in MINNESOTA!!!

I’ve only been to this restaurant only twice and their food so far has been beyond exceptional and very delicious. Service is great all the team members kind of help each other out on bringing out the orders but the one thing that I wish is that they would do is bring the orders out together simultaneously. So far the only two times that I’ve ever been there they brought out the two entrées separately with a Huge time gap between the two platers. I would say a time gap of maybe 10 to 15 minutes between the two platters. What really made me give them a two star review was because there were 2 asian old men constantly staring at me and my boyfriend. And this situation happened both times that I’ve visited this restaurant.(I was sitting in the sushi section of the restaurant). Me and him are a black couple and it really made me feel uncomfortable. They got to the point where of course they were speaking their language and staring at us and it just made me feel like they were prejudice against black people or even talking about us. I would love to go back but because of this reason I may find another sushi/hibachi restaurant that taste just as good. I wanted to talk to the manager but my boyfriend suggested I leave it alone so I decided to just post it on Unilocal. The manager that was there at the time was an Asian lady but I don’t think she was the head manager so I didn’t want to waste my time on talking to her. And she seemed very friendly with the two gentlemen that were staring at me and my boyfriend so that was one of the reasons why I was so hesitant to even speak to her. And one of employees which I had asked also told me that she wasn’t the head manager so that’s another reason why i did not bother to mention it

First thing you will notice is the setting. The way the company fixed up the place is very nice. The wait is a little long, but once your seated you can order appetizers right away. One thing I noticed, that was a bit odd, is that they serve both Coke and Pepsi product. We ordered sushi right away and received them promptly. My favorites so far are the fried red snapper and the dragon rolls. I order a fried pork and rice plate and was not disappointed. It filled me up real quick and I shared some with everyone and everyone said it tasted great. Finished with a bowl of sherbet and we were on our way. Nice place in general and would recommend to anyone.

Formerly known as Toyko Japanese Seafood & Steak House off Highway 5. They have been in business for over 30 years so this is really an establishment as locals may agree. The owner has really outdone himself with the remodeling of the new location. Daruma is best in class and serves the best hibachi and high quality fresh sushi. I’ve been to many hibachi places in town but Daruma sets the standard. We came to dine early to beat the weekend rush and arrived at 4:30pm. I was surprised to see half the hibachi section already seated. They open at 4pm so be sure to come early to beat the weekend rush. Some of the items we ordered: Filet mignon & scallop hibachi — scallops were huge, tender & juicy — cooked to perfection. Steak was a bit salty, however, I requested less soy sauce and it was perfect. Scallop & shrimp hibachi(hibachi dinner comes with mushroom soup and salad) Spicy scallop sushi — huge portions, you really get your money’s worth Beef tataki roll — all cooked for those that don’t eat raw Hamachi(yellowtail) — my fav, absolutely delish Salmon nigiri — you can’t go wrong here Sweet shrimp nigiri — for those feeling adventurous, super delicious, they fry the shrimp heads and tastes like shrimp chips! Tofu agedashi — delish, comes with finely shopped negi(grated daikon) Finished off with complimentary sherbert ice cream Tapioca(bubble tea) drink — new item on menu. Perfect to finish off the meal. Daruma, I am a big fan!
