Business Owner

I began homebrewing in 1997 where I met Ron & Sharon M. and Wayne W. They were also brewing in the area and Wayne was head brewer at Poplar Head Brewing Co in Dothan, AL. Over the years we formed a homebrew club and together learned, developed and honed our skills with each other. I cut my teeth on commercial brewing in 1999 at Poplar Head Brewing Co. in Dothan, AL. In the early 2000’s I was packaging manager and cellarmaster at Dogwood Brewing Co., Brewed at Texas Cattle Co. in Macon, GA and helped my best friend any chance I had, Wayne at Buckhead Brewery in Tallahassee and Atlanta. I began working as Head Brewer in Olde Auburn Ale House in 2007 and in 2009 the brewing equipment was packed up and sent to Washington State to start up a new brewery. Around ’09 I became a brewery consultant and helped others open breweries across the US. In 2010 we decided to take a leap of faith and open a Meadery and Brewery in our own home town. Dothan, AL. The rest is still happening!
