Pediatric Associates Doral

Really, really grateful for them last night when my son went into anaphylaxis.
They took us right in, 1 doctor, 3 nurses all stabilized him while waiting for fire & rescue. The kindest, certainty & professionalism they showed was absolutely the best!
They didn’t ask us if we were patients or for any insurance info. They just worked to get him stable.
Truly an outstanding team when put to the test!
I will be forever thankful!

The Drs that I have experienced here are wonderful — the wait time is RIDICULOUS. I have ALWAYS waited an exorbitant amount of time even if you have an appointment. Makes for a bad overall experience.

You have to wait a lot for the doctors. They don’t care if you have an appointment. Bad bad bad service to the babies. I don’t recommend this. Im searching a new place for my daughter. If your toddler have fever, this is worse, they said to you to go to urgent care, they don’t have time.

Por más oportunidades que le he dado, no hay ni un motivo por el que me pueda gustar. Llevé a mi bebé sin cita pero porque estaba con fiebre y en recepción me respondieron muy indiferentes que fuera al de Miami Beach que tal vez tenía disponibilidad pero que ellos ya estaban ocupados… No me dieron soluciones ni nada con todo y que mi bebé se controla ahí desde que nació y ya casi tiene dos años. Yo vivo en Venezuela y ahí es que tengo a mi pediatra de cabecera, pero cuando vengo a Miami me estresa pensar en ir a ese pediatra… El tiempo de espera es horrible, no se para que dan cita a una hora si uno termina viendo al Dr casi una hora u hora y media después, uno esperando dentro del consultorio y el bebe volviéndose loco. Cuando llega el dr, no dura 5 minutos hablando con uno, siempre me quedo con preguntas porque ellos están como apurados, una vez la Dra incluso se paró cuando le estaba preguntando algo y me respondió con la puerta abierta y se despidió. No entiendo por qué se tardan tanto en atender si en cada consulta duran 2 minutos. No me gusta para nada. Ya conseguí un pediatra mucho mejor y no volveré a este

Pros: open 365 days a week and after hours. Always have an appt available for sick children! Friendly front desk staff! Friendly environment. Friendly docs
Cons: very long waiting time while in the room waiting for the doctors to see you. The docs spend 2 mins on assessment on my child and spend 10 mins on the computer typing with not a lot of one-​on– one interactions with the parents. And they always seems to be in a hurry to leave and it makes the parents feel like they have to ask the questions quickly before the doctors leave. Many of my doctor encounters are always once they finished typing, they at walking towards the doors trying to get out of the rooms and avoiding the parents to ask for questions!!! The doctors are very friendly but ALWAYS in a hurry to leave ! Doctors should be there wanting to educate the parents on their sick child so they don’t go home with questions in their heads. But I have not yet meet one at this office that takes their time with the parents and their child!!!

The wait time is ridiculous, only Dr that we like its almost impossible to see. Appointments every 10 mins but they take about 1 hour or more to check the kid.

I have been taking my son and daughter to the Doral location of Pediatric Associates since they were a week old. The doctors and the Staff are caring and expedient. Always a good experience.

I started taking my son here when he was 3 month after a horrible experience with our previous doctor… right away i loved it. When i walked in and saw the set up of the waiting room and how clean it was I was surprised, nothing like our last doctors office. We have only been there twice, the first time we were called in right away the 2^nd time it took a little longer. The doctor we saw was Dr Ana Castaneda which was great she answered all my question and was super sweet with my baby. The only problem I had with this place was the problems with my appointments. After our 1^st visit we scheduled our next Visit which the girl was suppose to make for when he turns 4 months but she messed up and gave it for his 5 months. I called to change it and the girl was rude about it but changed it then when it was time for our appointment and my husband took the day off from work it turn out she put us with the wrong doctor so I had to reschedule for a later date. As of now thats the only problem I have had, I’ve had a pretty go experience. I tried to avoid pediatric associates and in the end it has been the best choice.

I have visited this office for over 2 years now. The staff is great to us, essentially becoming part of our family since we began this journey since our son was born. There was a period things got a bit testy due to my health plan, but we manage to deal with them professionally. Again, the greatest assets are the people that work here. I actually like all the doctors here, but we simply love Michelle Mendoza. She is not only a phenomenal human being, but she is knowledgeable, cares and will stay with you until your convey all of your concerns. I totally dislike when doctors provide a drive thru service, however that’s not the case here. Come on by and give this wonderful group a chance, you won’t regret it!

Staff is okay. Not an excellent service but not rude either. Just okay. Now, if you don’t have an appointment they will have you meet the register nurse. She will misdiagnose the baby and you will never meet the Doctor. Anyways, if you can take your kid somewhere else.

Moved here from Alabama, hoped PA would be a great fit. However, we waited 2 hours to see the doctor we had an appointment scheduled with. When we finally did see her and she DID NOT wash her hands prior to examining my children. I thought maybe it was just a mistake so I let it go. A few weeks later my children became sick, so I schedule another appointment with a different doctor. The wait time was no problem, but the doctor DID NOT wash her hands. Good hygiene is the first step in disease control and they are putting their patients and patient families at risk for all types of diseases (MRSA). Not worth the risk we will not be patients there any longer.
