Best hot dogs in Westchester, by far. The only place that comes close to it is Walter’s in Mamaroneck. When you come here, make sure you bring two people. That way you can order as many as five or six hot dogs and cut them all in half. There are too many specialty hot dogs to choose from(36, to be exact). I personally recommend the Mac Attack. That is what you call a heart attack on a plate.

We stopped at Dawg House while we were out apartment-hunting in the area, and I can say with certainty that we’ll be back soon now that we’re locals. Not a lot of seating, but it’s probably more of a grab-and-go place anyway. We were there on a quiet night so it wasn’t an issue, but I could see them running out of seats if there are more than a few people there at once. But the service was great and the dawgs were delicious. Try the Mac Attack, and definitely get an order of the tots!

I decided to try out these dogs when they set up shop right by the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. These hot dogs were *loaded* and super tasty. I had tried the So Yummy, Reuben(great if you like sauerkraut) and my favorite so far, the Nacho dog. I anticipate a visit to their location in Dobbs Ferry to try out the rest of their menu.

Me & one other person had 3 hot dogs there. A chili cheese dog which I was looking forward to, but was not substantive enough for me to like. A barbecue dog which was good, and a sushi dog which was really, really good. It was surprising that it was the best one. I think the refreshing clean flavors were balancing to the salty, fatty meat. Love the variety. Their menu is online, listing 30+ hot dogs in crazy and not so crazy combos. There are also a variety of tater tots with different toppings. All of their specialty dogs are reasonably priced at around $ 3.75. Tots are a bit more. Have a limited variety of soda’s, mostly cans. Will have to go back and try their other varieties. Nice place to go and grab a quick, cheap bite.

My friends and I started going to dawg house as a pit stop when we’re biking at the aqueduct trail. Now that I can’t bike because I’m pregnant, I go there almost every week to satisfy my craving. They have the best hotdogs! We love trying something new every time we go there. The staff are friendly and the place is very clean. My favorite hotdog right now is big joe’s lunch. I tried it once and that’s all I will ever eat now. The combination is just perfect. Crunchy because of the chips and coleslaw, creamy because of the cream cheese, sweet because of the teriyaki, tangy and hot because of the peppers. And of course, the very yummy deep fried hotdog. Try it! It’s the best.

I work at Mercy College and come to Dobbs for lunch quite often! The guys in here recognize me and say hello– everyone is SO friendly, and the hot dogs are CRAZY delicious. I even had the Dobbs Dawg cater my bridal shower last July. They parked the truck right outside the venue and came up onto the property to take our orders and then would bring them back for my guests to eat. Everyone LOVED the truck and all the different flavors… my brother had about 5 hot dogs. Not only is the food great, but the workers are so friendly, so kind– just such amazing service when you work with this company. LOVELOVELOVE. They were also featured in Food Network Magazine!

Stopped while in town on business for a quick lunch. Place is simple and cute. Bar seating around the perimeter of the space with a couple of benches out front. Massive list of dogs with a whole ‘create your own’ section as well. My husband and I ended up ordering the BLT Dog, Reuben Dog and the Pizza Dog with Dog Pound Tots. Everything was delicious, with super fresh toppings and came out really quickly. The dogs had a great snap to them and were cooked perfectly. We will definitely be adding this to our list of great, fast, cheap lunch stops in the area, and I can’t wait to try even more flavor combinations.

Cool hot dogs and friendly service. The MAC attack is by far one of the best hot dogs and there are lots of other combinations to try. The hot dogs are about $ 3-$ 5 each and offer a variety of options. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

Kids love the Mac attack.(Mac and cheese and bacon bits) I love their purple coleslaw. The toppings are endless. Very clean. Staff very nice and quick. Just can’t give 5 stars for potato bun.

Three and a half. While the dogs here surely fall short of the simple greatness achieved on the other side of the county at the historic institution that is Walters Hot Dog stand in Mamaroneck, much respect is due to this establishment for the astonishing amount of unorthodox varieties that are on offer here. What gives the place the affirmative extra stars is the fact that these wild combinations more often then not, wind up being seriously tasty. A random sampling of the extensive options include a sushi themed dog with wasabi cream and nori, a Mexican«border» dog topped with guacamole and cheese and onion, and untold numbers of dogs topped with ingredients common and not like chili, mac and cheese, chips of different varieties, onions in various stated of cooking, or some combination of said ingredients. Add to this a gracious and friendly staff that is obviously passionate and invested in the place, a simple yet ascetically pleasing setup, central location in one of the more tolerable suburban towns in the metro, and you have what I consider an a-ok spot, and one I am likely to frequent when work takes me to the area and I am in need of a trashy snack.

I stopped by Dobbs Dawg House while on a hiking day trip up to Dobbs Ferry from the city. We stopped for lunch on a Saturday and I was blown away by the combinations of hot dogs offered. There are approximately 50 specialty combinations on the menu, in addition to a build your own option. They also offer regular hot dogs, veggie dogs, and turkey dogs. I decided to try the PB&J Crunch dog, which was peanut butter, grape jelly, and Cap’n Crunch cereal on a veggie dog, along with the S’more Dog which included chocolate sauce, marshmallows and graham cracker crumbs on a veggie dog as well. I really enjoyed both hot dogs. Who knew such combinations could be so tasty on a hot dog? They had other interesting combinations including the Sushi Dog, Everything Bagel Dog, and BLT dog. In addition to hot dogs, they offer 9 different kinds of tater tots and various side dishes. There is limited seating so this is definitely a grab and go type of place. The staff was extremely friendly, even helping us with directions before we left, and service was quick. Dobbs Dawg House is definitely a place to try if you are in the mood for an adventurous spin on the traditional hot dog!

A no-frills hot dog shoppe featuring beef dogs/veggie dogs/or turkey dogs that come in about 40 combinations. The place is clean, the staff is freindly, and the dogs are about $ 3.50-$ 4.00 each. I had the Mac Attack and the Sushi Dawg. The Mac Attack was topped with mac-n-cheese and bacon bits and was filled with flavor. The Sushi Dawg had spicy mayo and seaweed, and although I thought this was an unsual combo on a hot dog, I was actually impressed by the combination of flavors, however the veggie dog itself was a let down. My veggie dog was not homemade but instead it was definitly just a frozen dog that they heated up. For what this is, this plus was a-ok. I was not blown away by the food, but I did enjoy my meal.

I’m not a big fan of hot dogs but this place really surprised me. They literally have every combo you can think of and it just works! I had a hot dog with peanut butter and jelly with captin crunch?! Wth! But it’s actually my favorite one.

I haven’t visited their storefront yet, but I have tried their dogs when they brought out their food truck to a car meet recently. These guys are awesome! Go and support them! The dogs are also awesome. They have some pretty odd offerings too, but I played it safe with the Chili dog topped with slaw. Delicious and filling. I hope to see you guys again soon!

Quick, uncomplicated, simply delicious fast food. I had the veggie dog with the Greek salad on top. So yummy, so cheap. Adam had a hotdog with baked beans and ketchup. I don’t see the appeal, but he certainly devoured it. Yum!

We were walking passed this town througb OCA, and we thought its a nice place for pit stop. So we looked on Unilocal and found mac attack. This place is cool and definitely family friendly and awesome menu! 12 dawgs x3 columns, that is a lot of dawgs… we of course ordered the mac attack and man it was delicious and maybe will try making this at home since dobbs ferry is kinda outta the way. At their price I thought was affordable, plus friendly staffs and cool store. This place will fo well in nyc, but if they do, dont lose your charm! :) Oh, anyone did their challenge? Id love to hear about it!

Love this establishment! My wife and I just moved to Dobbs Ferry with our two little girls, and it’s great to find a friendly place to bring the kids for a dog or two. The place is clean, the guys who own it were super friendly, and above all, the hot dogs were tasty and the price was right. Another reviewer complained that the hot dogs could be bought down the street at the Stop-n-Shop. I think that, unless these guys killed their own meat and made the dogs by hand, could be said of any hot dog. Perhaps the reviewer was expecting custom fabricated hot dogs made by little Hot Dog Elves in a special shop near Mr. & Mrs. Claus at the North Pole? That would be rad, but I don’t think the price would be satisfactory. From what I know of Hot Dog Elves, they charge a lot for their time, and over-time begins after they’ve been on the clock for only 2 hours. No, Boar’s Head is fine for me! UPDATE The hot dogs here are still great and the service is still excellent. A wonderful place for a dad to take the kids after school.
