I had to pick 1 star, but I think it was actually a 0 or negative number. There are many mangement companies in summit co. If you are thinking of choosing this one think twice. Their ads are deceptive. The owner is an idiot! His company overbooked us and for a two day stay we had to switch places. The TV remote did not work. The hot tub closed early. The room we were in had a horrible Oder. We paid almost 500.00 for two nights. It was the companies mistake that our room was over booked and they had an extra room they could have put us in. But this room was a two bedroom and Jeff said we could pay an extra 224.00 for their mistake. Unbelievable
God bless you Jeff, you are a real winner. Real classy guy.

We just rented a place in Keystone from these guys a week ago for my wife’s birthday. It wasn’t a bad experience with the guest relations staff so much as a lack of information and circumstances with the rental that give this a two star rating.
Getting our keys after hours was a small chore so that’s part of the experience part we really didn’t enjoy. Our party of 5 stayed in a townhouse in Antler Gulch. I would not recommend that anyone with more than one vehicle do so. They only give you one permit and make you park other vehicles at the nearby resorts. The lot was nearly empty the entire time we were there so this was super inconvenient and extremely annoying.
The other rental problem we had was a big selling point for the rental in the first place. The hot tub was busted!!! We would have rented a different place if we had known this. Same for the parking situation. If it had been disclosed up front we would have stayed somewhere else. All in all, take your chances with these guys if you like but we will probably not use them again.

I agree with the other writers who’ve complained of the horrible customer service provided by RMRM and, more specifically, the owner, Jeff DePaola. I’ve cut and pasted a modified series of emails:
1. Jeff — Per our discussion, my son, Daniel, and I arrived at your office on January 11 at around 10:00 p.m. We used the code in your email – xxx 1015B and were locked out because it was no good.
We went to the City Market, did some shopping, and then returned. Again, we were locked out as the code was bad.
I called your afterhours number and was given the code 9xx 0116B. We tried it and, again, were locked out. We waited and tried again. Still no good.
I called back and was given the code 4xx 0116B which, again, did not work. I called several more times (as you can see from the call log from my iphone). The last several calls, I was put on hold, waited for several minutes and because no one would answer, hung up and called again.
After almost 1.5 hours of this I was on
looking for a room for us to stay that night. Needless to say, both my son and I were furious with what had transpired. Fortunately, a car showed up with four guys. The driver was able to access the code on his phone, which was the right one, and open the lock box. He retrieved his envelope while we got ours.
Had it not been for his fortuitous appearance, given your afterhours service refusal to take our calls and provide the right code and your office providing us the wrong code in its January 8 email, we would not have been able to access the condo in Frisco and would have had to pay to stay in a motel. As it was, it was not until after midnight that we finally arrived at the condo in Frisco.
2. DePaolo responded by claiming we had been provided the right code (although he did admit he gave us the wrong one in the email right before our trip which he never corrected) and that it was our fault for not being able to input it correctly.
3. This is my response:
Jeff– Your response is both unacceptable and inaccurate. First of all, what are you claiming was the correct code and what evidence do you have it was provided to me?
You weren’t listening in when the service gave me the wrong codes and have provided nothing other than your self-​serving «belief» the service provided the correct code.
I laid out the specific, factual basis of your office’s repeated mistakes/​refusal to answer the phone and your response is to «assume» operator error. I’ve been a lawyer for over 30 years and my son is a college senior. I only mention this to ensure you appreciate we can input, accurately, the codes we were given.
Every time I talked to your service (before they refused to take our calls) I repeated and wrote down the codes I was given. I provided the codes in my email. Are you claiming my son and I don’t know the difference between a 4 and a 9? That we both have hearing or neurological disorders what make it impossible for us to accurate comprehend the codes and depress the correct number keys? If there was only one correct code, why was your service giving us different codes?
Furthermore, despite your purported sophistication, you admit your office is so incompetent it gave me the wrong code in the email I received prior to my trip to Colorado and made zero effort to provide the correct code before arriving.
Given the incompetence of your office in providing me the correct code via email, (or a follow-​up phone call) I must assume the incompetence extends to your inability to give your answering service the correct code. That is the logical, fact-​based assumption, not that two sophisticated customers can’t correctly push the buttons on a keypad.
Regarding the email from the service, they don’t mention their repeated refusal to answer our calls or that they gave us different codes. My son and I watched each other and were meticulous in depressing the numbers we were given but could not open the box because the codes were wrong. They are correct in that someone else opened the door because, of the three codes we were provided. they used a code we had not been given.
Again, we spent a almost 1.5 hours in your 4 X 8 foot room because neither your email nor after-​hours service provided the correct code. Rather than acknowledging, apologizing for your errors and rectifying the situation, you position is to blame my son and I. If you intend to stand by that position, I will share my experience with everyone who will listen. Richard
4. I never received an apology. When I emailed him I wanted a refund for having endured his incompetence, he responded by claiming I was difficult and crazy. He also stated, when I mentioned the negative Unilocal reviews that «Reviews are crap — its whiners and complainers.»
Avoid this place if at all possible.

Literally the absolute WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. Let me preface this by saying I have been to and reviewed dozens and dozens of hotels, motels, rental agencies and restaurants and never in my 30 years on earth experienced anything even close to the way we were treated by Rocky Mountain Resort Management.
Where it all began– My friends and I booked a condo in Breckenridge last weekend through this company through a deal they had on Living Social. We had originally planned on booking ski in ski out hotels in downtown Breckenridge but then decided on this condo. We thought wouldn’t it be so much more fun to all stay together in a beautiful upgraded condo in Breckenridge with a hot tub… One would think.
The fun all begins when it turns out our condo was actually located in the town of Blue River 6 – 7 miles outside of downtown Breckenridge… not to mention a $ 30 cab ride. Even the cab drivers were surprised we were staying there. They said it’s mostly renters at this complex and a very affordable place to live. The condo we were put in to say nicely looked like a trailer from the early 1970’s. I’ve attached a few photos for your enjoyment. I actually thought this was a joke and someone was going to jump out and say we were on some sort of tv show. Nope unfortunately this was our home for the weekend at about $ 280 night. You could have upgraded this cabin with furniture on the «Free» section of craigslist and it would have looked nicer. The couch and beds were the most uncomfortable things on earth. To top it off the place was not clean and we found hair and trash around every corner. Yikes. The heater did not work in one of the bedrooms and the hot tub. Well let’s not even go there. And can I mention again our condo was NOT in Breckenridge as advertised.
Here is where it really gets good. We call Rocky Mountain Resort Management Friday and are told Jeff the owner of the company would call us Saturday. Saturday morning rolls around and we call again informing them we won’t be staying our two days and want to check out immediately. The guy we talk to (after talking down to us about how we got a deal and an upgrade) says Jeff (the owner of the company) will call us today. Skiing all day we kept checking our phone… NO CALL. Late that night after retuning to Denver my friend who booked this all this gets an email from Jeff saying it’s his day off and that there is nothing he can do or no way to get a refund… an email… yes you read that correctly. The owner of this business Jeff emails dissatisfied customers over calling them back. I have several friends who own businesses and they would NEVER respond by email vs phone in a situation like this. Plus business owners don’t have days off I’m sorry take care of your customers first. He had no interest in addressing any of our questions/​issues despite the fact that we specifically we told by the staff that Jeff would respond to us.
At the end of the day it’s been almost a week and Jeff never called us back. I highly recommend staying as FAR away from this business as possible. They do NOT respond to issues or customers. They do NOT care about your happiness or comfort on your vacation. They do NOT have upgraded condos as advertised. Going with the theme here they do NOT deserve your hard earned money. Use any other rental agency or the Hotel Tonight app. Both had MUCH nicer accommodations at competitive rates. We checked both Saturday and wished we had gone anywhere else.
I don’t understand how Rocky Mountain Resort Management is still in business. I can guarantee you my friends and I WILL tell everyone we know about this business and experience.

I booked a condo three weeks out. I reserved it because it was the last condo they had. I called one hour later to cancel. Jonathan said he would call me back. He called me 2.5 hours later just before they closed and left a message they would not cancel my reservation. I could understand a day or more later, but one hour?!? If I could give less than a star I would. Scheisters.

Jeff the owner is about the most unprofessional person I have ever met. He was afraid to call me because I was angry about some problem he initiated. He stated that we could only talk through email. He used religion for righteousness and twisted things i said to slam me. He has NO social skill at all. He kind of had a little temper tantrum and was a baby about having to deal with his problem.
I highly recommend going elsewhere.

I just used the Rock Mount Res Man to stay in a condo by the Keystone resort. They were able to help me get last minute lodging for a ski/​snowboard trip. The price and accommodations were both great, and the transaction was smooth. The unit had everything that was advertised and more (free wi-​fi and free private underground parking). I would definitely contact them again, if I was vacationing in the area.

I used this company to rent a condo at Copper the first week of January 2012 and had a great experience from start to finish. The reservation process was simple. I had to make a small change to my reservation a few days after I entered the «no changes» window and they were very accommodating. The check-​in process was exactly as described, with great directions from their office to my unit. The unit was clean and exactly the one I had reserved. No one was staying in my unite the night of my checkout date, so they gave me a late checkout with no charge. I can’t speak for anyone else but I would rent from them again!

My husband and I had a VERY disappointing experience with this company just last week, when we stayed at a condo represented by this management company. The advertisement was deceptive, the room never reached above 68 degrees, they tried to charge us extra fees upon check out that were never agreed upon. Then RMRM sent several verbally abusive e-​mails to us and told us they «don’t want our type in their properties» and that we «are not worth the effort» among other insulting comments. I will never do business with them again and hope this helps other people avoid a huge headache by going else where for their vacation needs!

I have to agree with the previous reviewer — we used this company to rent our vacation home a few years back. Their advertising was deceptive, they did not do things they said were done, they did shoddy «construction» of shelving that looked atrocious and caused drywall to peel off, and were verbally abusive and threatening when we attempted to get out of the contract. A simple search in the company on google will show many more complaints about Rocky mountain resort management from many other dissatisfied renters and owners. I would avoid these guys at all costs.

I wish I had read these reviews before I booked a rental with this company using airbnb. What a nightmare! The pulled a classic bait & switch on me. I booked a beautiful 3BR in Breckenridge and after confirming the booking and airbnb charging me I got a call from RMPMI saying the place was no longer available and they will be give a different place. Turns out the new place is totally run down with no amenities. We asked for a refund for which they refused, called my wife & turned totally hostile, use abusive language, made outright racist comments and hassled us over the phone multiple times. After the bait & switch I tried to give them the benefit of doubt to find me a better place but they instead chose to be abusive & racist. Extremely disappointed that my wife had to face this. Airbnb seems to be on our side on this one and is trying to get our money back.
