History

Established in 1955.

Edwin & Robbie Underhill founded Underhill Motors in 1955, shortly after Edwin returned from the Korean War. They have carried used cars, new cars, rental cars and even tractors since opening their business.

Edwin and Robbie have recently semi-​retired from the car business so that they can devote more time to their farm. However, they are still a huge part of the family business, with Edwin coming to the office several times per week.

Running the family business now is their son Eddie Underhill and his wife Sheila. Edwin and Robbie’s other son John Underhill oversees the wholesale aspect of the business as well as maintaining the family farm.

The third generation of Underhill’s is soon to follow with Eddie & Sheila’s daughter Katlyn and son Hunter.

They are proud to have been such a fundamental part of middle Tennessee’s car market for nearly 60 years and hope to keep the family business just as successful for atleast 60 more!

Eddie Underhill grew up in the car business. His parents, Edwin and Robbie, started their business nearly 60 years ago. Eddie has maintained the honesty and integrity that helped Underhill Motors thrive all those years ago. He and his wife Sheila have incorporated the newest technological resources to ensure that their dealership is able to compete on a larger scale, while keeping their downhome values, and old fashioned personalities.

Eddie is proud to be part of such a fundamental business in Dickson County. His father Edwin set the bar high, and Eddie looks forward to exceeding expectations everyday!
