This is the best place to go for real southern cooking. The have buffet or you can order off the menu. The staff is extremely nice as well!

Food is delicious and of good quality and well worth the 30 minute round trip detour from I-40. However, is you chose to have a take out buffet option be mindful that you will be issued a litany of instructions, a waitress may monitor your buffet selections and you may be admonished for putting food in the wrong container of the two they issue you for the take out.

Really nice place. A lot of room even with a large group. Large buffett. Chicken ham fish enchilada and a lot more options. Very fresh around lunch time. Cook comes out every 5 minutes or so and checks quantity and temps. Large variety of deserts. Most homemade. Ice cream too. Very friendly. About 9 bucks for lunch well worth it. Best thing was no old cruddy stuff on the buffet.

If you enjoy a wonderful pulled pork sandwich served by folks that treat you like family in a quaint but very clean country atmosphere — you will enjoy this family restaurant! Nice country music playing in the background — a large choice of deserts… and a large menu and also a buffet Happy Dining!

All I can think of is the old farmer from napoleon dynamite and the egg sandwich. Flies everywhere. A sea of cheap 80’s style table and chairs. I felt I was eating under a spot-lite at a mess hall. More bizarre is the shrine to Elvis in the corner. Video games so old kids now days wouldn’t know how to operate. Food was all under cooked and expensive . $ 14 a plate doesn’t include drink. $ 60 for 3 people. Couldn’t believe they serve hog jaw ? KINDA like a Vegas buffet with half the options. Waitress gave us the wrong bill, and boy what confusion! Music could be updated, current.. . but that was the best part.

Wow! I don’t understand some of the previous reviews. My wife and I ate here and enjoyed our meal very much. It wasn’t our first time, nor will it be our last. Is the food highly seasoned, no, but in the restaurant environment you can’t put a bunch of seasoning on food. Everyone doesn’t like it. The price for what you get is comparable to others, remember, all you can eat. Check your prices at the other restaurants and look at the portion size. If you want Mcdonald’s prices, go to Mcdonalds. As for the environment, it is big, and wide open, but I’m not crammed next to somebody, bumping my chair to move around. My kids are all grown now, but I would have liked the game machines, I could have stayed and talked with friends in stead of having to leave because of them being bored. I don’t go out to eat to judge the signage, and font. Really? As for the employees, they have always been polite and smiling. If someone had dip while working, I would have addressed that with management.

To say this restaurant is bad would be a understatement. First, starting with the outside, the sign advertising the restaurant does not fit nor is it appealing. The font is very bland and looks like the default Arial used in Word Processor which just goes to show the lack of effort the owners went into creating this restaurant. Also, the phone number is listed beneath the name, which is very strange for a restaurant to do. Some may confuse it for an office of some kind rather than a restaurant which makes it even more unappealing to eat at than it already is. Second, there’s a different«Plantations» sign hung up on the entrance of the building, this one in fancy cursive writing which is perfectly fine, but why isn’t THIS design the one being used for the sign that most people will see first, instead of the depressing one that is in use now? Nevertheless, you would think the fancy cursive would hint at the dining experience, but it was a depressing disappointment. Again, the waitress could not figure out a place to sit my family and I. Also, the food is completely and utterly inedible. Undercooked, bloody chicken and bland flavor all around. I would not feed this food to my dogs. Here, basic food handling etiquette is not followed. It’s clear cleanliness is not a strong suit of these people. Furthermore, it is extremely overpriced for what it is — a buffett. The staff looked like extras from Deliverance and the only thing the cashier was missing was a banjo and doing a rendition of Dueling Banjos. Either the owners think it’s a joke or they are absolutely clueless on how to run a business and stay in business. People are getting ripped off and I think they know that. This place will be out of business before most people know it was even here in the first place. I would rather there be an empty lot here than a horrible restaurant like this. What a waste of space.

My husband and I were excited that the restaurant had finally opened. We stopped by at 11:00am for lunch on Saturday. The excitement quickly turned into a BIG disappointment. 1. The food was bland and the chicken on the buffet was undercooked(blood running out of it). 2. People around us(more than 1 table) were complaining about the music being too loud. I politely informed our server to which she had it turned down. Thank you! 3. We were going to get a dessert and asked for a spoon for the cobbler and a slice from one of the uncut pies but were told all of the desserts were for dinner. I couldn’t believe that the uncovered desserts were set out at 11:15am(not available to the lunch crowd) but to be served in the evening. I am sure the fly on top of the case would be crawling on them before evening. We spent $ 30 for bland food, no meat and no dessert. If not for the very pleasant server — this visit would have been a ZERO. First impression = first and last visit!!!

Food was awful… save your money and time. we ordered from menu and the server got our food off the buffet without using gloves. The whole purpose of ordering from the menu is so we don’t have to eat food that everyone has reached over and possibly coughed all over. We will never go back… this app tells me I have to select a star to post this review So selecting one star even though it doesn’t deserve one.

My family and I thought we would try the new restaurant out, but we were not impressed at all. For starters, the hostess couldn’t make up her mind on where to sit us. Then, the food was very bland and there wasn’t as much of a variety as advertised. Two adults and two young children, to eat mashed potatoes, chicken, White beans, and a single scoop of ice cream, was over $ 70. On top of that, the individual that was trying to operate the register was dipping while working in a place that folks are eating at. We will not be back there, and also have warned our family and friends about this over priced low quality«restaurant«.
