Long-lasting recovery from drug and alcohol addiction isn’t something that can be taught – it requires the total transformation of one’s perspective. That is why our team at Freeman Recovery Center has developed a drug and alcohol rehab program in Tennessee that focuses on recovery, growth, and healing.

History

Established in 2012.

In February 2005 I began helping people suffering from substance use addiction. On August 3, 2008 I opened a company called Freeman Sober Living Establishment to help those that needed supportive living for those in need. In October of 2012 Freeman Recovery Center, LLC was formed and we opened our doors to begin offering a full range of residential counseling and addiction services for those in need of inpatient treatment. From their we have continued to grow with a mission to help as many people within the community as well as the surrounding states to address unresolved trauma, addiction, mental health and detoxification.

Meet the Business Owner

Shawn B.

Business Owner

My name is Shawn E. Baker. I am the President and CEO of Freeman Recovery Center, LLC. I have been serving a community of people that suffer from Substance Use Disorder within Dickson County and the surrounding states for the last 11 years.

In February of 2005, after experiencing my first 5 weeks or so of sobriety, I asked my mother if we could use her personal home as shelter to help men in need of a safe environment to maintain their sobriety. In true form she agreed. At 3.5 months sober I began working at the local 12 step retreat center where my sobriety began. Since then I have started a few companies in order to continue the work that was placed on my heart.

During my time in sobriety I married and now have two children.

Living a life of helping others in sobriety has been an amazing experience. I am most thankful for the desire that lives deep within me to continue to help others and my family.
