I haven’t been here since it changed from Taco Factory but today, I came with a coworker. It was moderately busy, but didn’t seem that busy to have taken so long for our food. That’s okay — no hurry and after I asked(because they forgot), I got my side order of rice. I was underwhelmed by the looks of my tacos. The Carnitas looked greasy and smeared on, the carne asada looked old as if the meat had been reheated a few times. Oh well, I was hungry — so it will taste great anyway. Well, they tasted«okay» but after 2 bites, I saw a huge roach run across the floor and then, shortly later, I smelled a very toxic chemical odor — coincidentally, the entrance door had just opened. It was pretty unbearable but I tried to forget both and carried on eating. The roach came running back towards me this time and decided to hide out in a not so hidden corner right next to me in plain sight. Others saw and alerted the cashier who came by later when she freed up and stepped on the roach which because of its size, the pop crunch was audible. Well, that did it for my appetite — I could only manage to eat one taco — nibbled only on my rice and other 2 tacos and just trashed everything. Left the place and well, it occurred to both of us the toxic chemical smell came from inside the restaurant not outside. Perhaps — just a theory — they were spraying roach insecticide in the back kitchen and hence, a roach scurrying around the front. It was a pretty toxic smell. Sorry if I ruined anyone’s appetite.

Love the Carne asada burrito! Forget to add fresh guacamole. Fajita burrito is also very good. Hot salsa is actually HOT! Delicious

Best Mexican in Diamond Bar by a long shot. The food tastes authentic and the cook and cashier are always very friendly. They have good music playing and have orchata with free refills. Awesome!

When I was in fifth grade this was the spot all my teachers went to for lunch. Back then this place was called the Taco Factory, and now in its current iteration it’s called La Olla. Besides the name change, not much else has changed here. They still have the same salsa bar, and the same Horchata Olé machine from way back when. With the Groupon deal, you can get 10 dollars worth of items for 6 dollars, which makes the price for the food you get quite reasonable. There’s no signature dish or blow your mind culinary experience going on at this spot, but this places is a serviceable option when your in the mood for some Mexican inspired food. I would go with their flautas plate cause, it’s really hard for something fried to not taste good. 4 stars for the Groupon, and the fact that this might be the ONLY fast food Mexican inspired establishment in all of Diamond Bar(not counting el Pollo loco)…which is quite a fear in itself

This place is eh. The food is good, but wayyy too overpriced for the portions. I’d rather get Alberto’s for half the price and double the food.

The food here is excellent. Up there with the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Carne Asada burrito is 10⁄10. Try this place out if you haven’t. Very worth it!

Some of the best and most satisfying dining experiences come from no-frill places. My family loves this place! The food is sooo fresh, the flavor is great and the portions are not disgustingly large, they’re just right. I had a shrimp fajita burrito and I enjoyed it so much, i’m Unilocaling it!!!

Came across La Olla while out doing work errands. Unilocaled it really quick to see if they accept credit cards and they do. Walked over to see a sign in the window reading«Taco Tuesday 99cents». Choices include Carnitas, Chicken or Al pastor. Got 2 Carnitas and a Shrimp taco for regular price. Spent under $ 6 for everything. Very flavorful and well prepared. They have a Salsa station and you’re welcome to as much as you need. I definitely will be back soon to try the Tortas and Shrimp Burritos :)

I have to give 4 stars strictly on the Carnitas meat alone. I rarely get any other meat and my first visit was today after 15 years of this being the other owner(Taco Factory). Apparently this place cooks their pork the same way, the meat is very moist with great flavor, way better than Chipotle carnitas. They offer pinto beans which is so much better than refried. The salsa bar is exactly like Taco Factory which is adequate. I love adding my own cilantro, big plus here, doesn’t wilt that way. They have taco Tuesday’s and that’s a great deal although street tacos are smaller. All in all, not bad, fast and decent amount of food on a combo plate. They need some umbrellas for that patio! Come on guys, it’s gonna be hot soon!

I was in this plaza the other day and noticed the new name so I decided to check it out. The store looks the same inside as when it was Taco Factory so I think they just renamed it, which makes sense because who really wants to eat in a factory, or eat tacos made in a factory? Okay okay it was decent the few times I’ve eaten here in the past, maybe three stars, but I was curious to see if the new name brought any improvements. In short, NO. I ordered a carne asada burrito and a bottled Coke, to go, which came out to just shy of $ 12. A little pricey, don’t you think? Next, even though they were not particularly busy at 2PM on a weekday, it took about 20 minutes to prepare my order of ONE burrito! Basically the person BEHIND me in line placed a big order and they opted to prepare all of his items before even starting mine, even though my order was first and only for a single item. Alright, so the service was annoyingly slow and the pricing high, but what about the food? Unfortunately, it was bad, like, really, really bad. Maybe the worst burrito I’ve ever eaten. Literally every single piece of carne asada was gristle. The other ingredients were fine but totally overshadowed by having to spit out a piece of inedible meat every few bites. The amount of carne asada wasn’t even generous, maybe eight pieces, so the cost would still be too high even if they used quality meat. I won’t be going back any time soon and can’t recommend it. But if you do go, definitely stay away from anything with carne asada.

Would you pay $ 8(after Groupon applied) for this? No. Would you pay $ 11(listed/charged)? Hell NO. Should be one star only. But giving them a break for new restaurant. Hope they try harder to earn better reviews. But I will not go there any more.

Taco Tuesdays are $ 1.29 per taco, and its either chicken or pork. The tacos weren’t bad, but weren’t special either. Also ordered the nachos, and appreciated that the chips were nice and thick. I think they are house-fried. Comes was nacho cheese sauce, unless otherwise noted. The salsa bar is pretty extensive and clean. The service is meh. It was my first time there, and the cashier wasn’t very helpful or enthusiastic about sorting through the menu with me. Probably wouldn’t come back, unless for convenience since I’m just down the street.
