The prices are reasonable and they do a pretty good job. If you have any issues, Joe will take care of you. They remodeled my kitchen and everything came out great!

I was looking to remodel my kitchen, so i used Unilocal to help find a contractor. I came across Choice Granite & Countertops. I had Joe Nazarian come out & do the initial measurements & he was a real nice & honest guy. He pretty much walked me through the process, step by step. From the time they started, until it was all finished… total professionals. Fair prices & top quality work! I am totally happy with my new kitchen. Thanks Joe & the team from Choice! Great work…

We bought a house and were wanting to renovate the kitchen counters before moving in. My mother and I found several granite places on Unilocal.She had gone and spoken to Joe and in the end, she said «well, he seemed like a nice guy, let’s give him a try.» I should’ve paid more attention to all the «nice guy, shit work» reviews because that was my experience.
They were able to fit us into their schedule within 3 – 4 days. They came, ripped out the old tiles in the kitchen and installed Black Galaxy granite into counters and island. We had asked for a kitchen sink as well. Rojelio (or Rogelio, however you spell his name) was the granite installer and said he had nothing about a kitchen sink on his order. After several calls, we got a hold of Joe and he told us he had «forgotten» to add the sink. Okay, fine, human error, minor oversight, a guy went and got the sink and installed it, no biggie.
3 days later, when our handyman (who is a retired contractor and a family friend) was putting the faucet on the sink, he noticed a crack in the island (see pic). We hadn’t moved into the house, it wasn’t something we would’ve noticed because we weren’t there. My mom called and texted Joe, sent him pictures of this crack and asked what happened. Joe said «the plumber must have put a lot of pressure on the island, they wouldn’t leave it like that.» Bullshit. 1. There was no plumber. 2. If I sit on these granite counters and they break, there’s a problem, wtf does he mean «put pressure.» 3. Crack was nowhere near the faucets side.
Anyway, lots of back and forth texts and complaining, finally, he sends Rojelio back to re-​do the island. At this point, we’ve moved into the house and the dust and crap we were hoping to avoid is now everywhere. Whatever, we dealt with it.
Then we notice that the granite is beautifully glassy clear and polished on the surface and the bullnose is this a matte, dull, rippled finish. Again, my mom spoke to Joe, nicely telling him this is a concern, this isn’t our first go-​around with Granite in a house, please polish this. For 3 weeks, Joe gives her this ‘I’m working on it” or «I’m getting in touch with Rojelio so he can come polish the bullnose» or «I’m asking Rojelio» or «Rojelio is going to get back to me with his schedule» run around. Finally, it’s not until I go and get angry that he does something about this. After he complains to my mother that I yelled at him, he sends Rojelio out, who now suddenly can’t speak a lick of English (he could before) and has brought some translator with him who tells my mom that this is as good as it ever gets. She disagrees and they leave without even the slightest effort.
We try again with Joe. Two months of this back and forth nonsense with Joe now claiming that the bullnose came cut from the factory like that (then wtf were they cutting in our drive way? Why was the Island measured and why were we told he was going to cut it if it came pre-​cut?) So we told him, «then get someone from the factory out here. It’s not our first time with Granite in a house, this is NOT what it looks like.» It’s not until my mom coincidentally got in touch with Joe’s father, that HE got a factory worker to come out and polish the bullnose. It’s still not perfect, it still has ripples and bumps in it and it’s still more dull than the top. Not to mention, Rojelio had left large cracks in the seam areas on the counter where two granite slabs join.
Just be wary, he will kiss your ass and be all cloying and smiley but his workers do shit work and then don’t own up to it. I’m thankful to his father (I think his name was Martin) for the effort he made; we’re still not satisfied but after seeing the pictures, at least he owned up verbally that this isn’t what a finished job is supposed to look like. I wouldn’t recommend Joe or Choice Granite to anyone. If your work isn’t done right the first time, don’t expect these people to fix it. They give you the same BS about «we stand by our work and our product»…standing by shitty work and shitty products is nothing to be proud of, in my opinion. Pictures attached.

From the first email I sent Joe asking about a price to re-​do my complete kitchen. To the end result has been fantastic. I sent Joe over some Pictures of my bare kitchen., only standing walls with no flooring. I gave him my ideas of how we wanted our kitchen and by the next day Joe had figured a 3d model that looks just like my kitchen now. Joe is great at what he does and I would highly recommend giving them a shot at you’re next remodel. Thanks again Joe

I was moving into a new apartment in Walnut and needed some tile work done so I found this place nearby in Diamond Bar. Getting in contact with one of the main managers Joe, wasn’t an issue at all. He was a cool guy, exceedingly courteous and glad to help. Joe returned my phone call promptly when I requested a quote.
Within a week he sent one of his contractors, Ruben over to examine and do the repairs. Ruben was also very professional and polite, and was able to get the job done in less than 2 hours. I was impressed by this company’s timeliness, their level of professionalism, and the high standards of quality service for which they deliver. Would highly recommend to anyone searching for excellent granite work.

Joe was great. I had my moms bathrooms redone a few months back. Joe helped us pick out some nice tiles, cabinets and granite for our master and guest bath. It’s a night and day difference :)
He sure does have a great eye.
The best part was the quick turnaround and great pricing. They handled everything from start to finish as promised with no delays.
Joe was always available via email or text and phone calls. All my messages were returned promptly.
We plan to use him for our kitchen when the time comes :)

We hired Choice Granite & Cabinets for kitchen remodel and flooring recently. It was a blessing to have Joe organizing and coordinating the whole thing. Their price was very reasonable and honest. Jobs were done in a timely manner. Everybody was also surprised by how accurate the materials were estimated by Joe — he definitely helped us saving material cost. During the construction, we did have some opinions on the details here and there. Fortunately, everything was covered after all and the result was really satisfactory.
We would like to highly recommend this company to anybody who wants to find a trustworthy, honest, detail-​oriented and responsive contractor. Once you start working with them, you will understand why they have happy customers like us.

called choice granite requesting assistance with an issue i am having with a granite countertop for a project we are working on. all that i requested was his expert opinion. he said there was a $ 50 charge for him to come and take a look. seemed reasonable so i scheduled an appointment. i gave joe the address and also emailed him the information. i even worked around joe’s schedule for the appointment as he wasn’t able to meet at the time i requested. on the day of the appointment, i called joe prior to going to the project and no answer. i emailed him, no response. i called him several times and left him several messages and no answer. i showed up at the jobsite, waited over an hour for joe to show up, never did.
never heard again from joe or choice granite. don’t care to hear from them either. this is why contractors continually are know to be flighty. you don’t have to do too much to separate yourself in this group. show up on time… and do what you say you are going to do.
stay away. trust me.

My construction company has been building restaurants around the Inland Empire and Los Angeles, and we always had issues with our tile installer not being able to find the exact tiles we were looking for.
I contacted Joe when we were working on one in Pasadena, and let me stop by the Pasadena showroom to pickup some samples to show our clients. On the spot, their worker was able to give me prices and find out whether they would have the quantity we needed in stock.
Their prices are comparable to Home Depot, if not cheaper on other hard to find tiles that are out of season. Joe always calculated for a 2% rate in cracked tiles upon shipment, which saved us the hassle of an angry phone call and shortage on our projects.
Aside from tile, we’ve had them do our granite and marble installations for bathrooms. His installers are very professional, and will even show up middle of the night or early in the morning to do the installation. And his prices were so cheap, we now incorporate marble into every one of our restaurant remodels.

We were very happy with our countertops and the quality of service we received. We chose Choice granite after getting several estimates.
Greg was able to educate us in the different options available as well as the ability of going with a pre-​fab top. This was a significant savings over the other bids.
Greg also had great customer service. We were not happy with the island as it was cut too small and didn’t look right. Greg wanted to ensure we were 100% satisfied and redid the island at his own expense. That’s great service and I would certainly use him again for any future granite needs.

I should have heeded all the negative reviews and used a different company. My experience dealing with Choice Granite was terrible due to poor cabinet installation and their refusal to correct their mistakes.
1) A drawer will not open all the way. When I first observed this prior to granite countertop installation, I requested them to move the peninsula down so the drawer can be opened all the way but they refused.
2) Then I learned that the peninsula was installed out of square which means it’s skewed inwards. I have a U shaped kitchen layout. At the beginning of the peninsula, the distance is 63 ¾″ but at the end of the peninsula, the distance is only 63″.
The mistake affected tile installation all around the peninsula. The tile installer had to cut and install angled tiles to accommodate the skewed peninsula. See photos.
When I asked Joe to fix it, instead of acknowledging the mistake and fixing it he inferred that it was because my walls were out of square.
His claim was false. The expert from the contractor board have confirmed that the cabinets were installed out of square.
Despite his claim, the installer never asked to add a spacer prior to cabinet installation. If his claim was true, why did the installer refuse to move the peninsula down to correct the problem prior to granite countertop installation as I instructed?
His claim that the issues have been corrected and the cabinets are «perfect» is false. Five months later, the peninsula is still skewed inwards and a drawer still won’t open all the way. See photos.
Furthermore, he never came by to see the problem for himself despite my requests.

We were looking to get some flooring and countertops to remodel a rental property in Pasadena. So we checked out this place based on Unilocal reviews. Boy these guys have the worst attitude and full of B/​S. all the reviews seem tainted. Beware.

Joe is Phenominal, I had new cabinets and granite installed and they came out wonderful, the pricing was good and the customer service, if you need help remodeling your kitchen call Joe!!!

Couldn’t ask for better. Excellent product, customer service, and very fast and accommodating installation. Will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend!

Kind of disappointed because we were 2 min from store and the young lady on the phone seemed bothered by the idea of someone coming into the office and she said sorry I have lunch at 12 so it probably won’t be good for u to come by. :(guess our business is not needed perhaps? Oh well… off to the next granite place. Would have liked to get quick info and I probably would have only taken up ten minutes of their time getting it. Ill give them three stars just because it is unfair for me to rate them low on their work seeing as I didn’t have any done but their customer service. Maybe not so favorable.

Kevin and I have terrible luck with the color green: our starter house had vomit green carpet (as if the girl from Exorcist happened in there) and by some serious misfortune, so did our new one. A quick Unilocal search resulted with Choice Granite on my radar but my hopes were low as I was looking for floors and they obviously appear to specialize in granite.
Turns out, I was in for a pleasant surprise! We popped in the Diamond Bar showroom for a consult with Joe and afterwards, we were pretty much prepared to move forward with every project we discussed. Somehow, kitchen upgrades and a full bathroom remodel got mixed in with the simple floor replacement. Things that I need in this life include a white farmhouse sink and I just couldn’t resist especially since the prices were so reasonable. So reasonable, in fact, that haggling was not required… And I’m Chinese, haggling is ALWAYS required!
So far, I’ve got the floors done and they’re a beautiful deep cocoa wood that I’m simply in love with. Ok fine, they’re laminate but who’s keeping track! Joe is awesome to deal with… I’m a huge stickler for prompt responses and he is definitely on his game. His crew has been punctual, super nice and damn, are they fast on their feet! They did meticulous work on the baseboards especially when a 400sqft add-​on proved to be a problematic pain in the ass, and they even brought in my many oversized UPS deliveries and stacked them neatly in the house.
Not only would I recommend Choice Granite to anyone that needs work done in their home, but they will certainly be my first call should I have future remodeling needs. These guys are amazing, on to the kitchen!

The whole process couldn’t have been any easier. I just purchased a home and the kitchen needed an update. Everything was in good shape, it just had that «old» look to it. I first got an estimate from Home Depot. They wanted to refinish the whole kitchen for an ridiculous price! My wife and I decided to make the countertops the priority, since a whole kitchen remodel is out of our budget. I got another estimate from a local carpenter who quoted us an affordable price for laminate. Thinking granite would be out of our price range, I tried to get an estimate, just to see.
I found Choice Granite on Unilocal.Filled out their info page on their website. Greg replied within a few minutes. I sent him a picture of my countertop as well as a drawing with the layout and dimensions. By the end of the day, Greg sent me a quote that was well below what I expected to pay. My wife and I ended up going to their showroom in Diamond Bar because we wanted to see other granite options. Greg couldn’t meet us, but his brother, Joe, was very knowledgeable and helpful. We did choose a granite upgrade, but still within the price we wanted. I told Greg we need it installed by the end of the month. He came through and had his workers start the Monday after Thanksgiving. It’s Wednesday and I have brand new, beautiful kitchen countertops!
My wife is very happy with their work and I’m happy with their prices and customer service. I’ve already recommended them to my co-​workers!

So I am the first reviewer who’s going to give Choice Granite a negative review. I agree with everyone on here, Greg is a nice guy and with grade A customer service skills. But this review is based on everything, from the many hours of waiting around only to be flaked on by him and his contractors, the extra 6 – 7 weeks it took to finish up the kitchen, the redo’s because the contractor was incapable of correctly installing the stainless steel backsplash, etc. To me, he is too nice of a guy… to his workers who gave himself and his business a bad name. At least to us.
No I did not have to cough up the $ 15k spent on remodeling the kitchen even though I will be using the term «WE» a lot… I am writing this review because I was the one who found Choice Granite on Unilocal,read all of the great reviews, encourages and pushed someone who needed total remodeling, to go with them, instead of Home Depot and another local Kitchen remodeling company.
First off, the design was done by Home Depot who really did a great job. We took the design to Greg, hoping he would be able to give us a better deal. We were told that the whole process would take about a week… 8 weeks later, for the amount that we would have paid Home Depot, we have a kitchen with the finish, backsplash, counter top and missing extras perks on cabinets. It is a good looking kitchen if you don’t look at it too closely and for the amount, we were hoping to get exactly what we wanted. Now, this is not entirely Greg’s fault but the false promises and the length of time it took was just frustrating and disappointing.
A quick run down of the issues.
1. First appointment with Greg for a consultation. He stood us up and he could not be reached. Maybe it was a sign? I still had high hope for Greg so we gave him another chance.
2. After the deposit, Greg told us that the cabinets that we chose (espresso with slow close drawers) were no longer available. We ended up having to get a cheaper version which the contractor insisted we change because it was «hard to put together.» Were we going to go with a color we hated? Changing the material was annoying enough and on top of that, this particular brand did not come with slow close.
YES, we requested the deposit back but Greg said he had paid the contractors wanted us to give him a chance…
3. On the day that the countertop was suppose to be delivered, they told us the one we chose was unavailable. We were forced to choose one that matched the new cabinets. Twice.
4. The cabinet contractor did not put covers on our furniture or put up plastic sheets around the kitchen. After demolition, everything… EVERYTHING was covered in dust. The backyard was a mess. The pool had particles and trash in it. Paint and mixtures on the cement. No respect for the property.
5. The quartz does not have a smooth appearance. They also installed it incorrectly so another contractor (Armondo) had to come and fix it.
6. The back splash contractors (Carlos) flaked on us about 3 times and could not get the stainless steel back splashed on correctly. They were dented, crooked, jagged, etc… Greg had them come twice and it still was not applied properly. On top of that, they opened up chips that I had purchased and had their way with it… There is still scraps of their work in the backyard. Again, no respect for the property…
There were a hand full of appointments we made with this contractor and they flaked on us. We were beyond frustrated at this point. Greg apologized a number of times but did we get what we wanted? No.
7. Because we were fed up with the back splash, we chose a different one that should have been easier to apply. Upon closer inspection, it is still not great. But at the point, its just easier to look away.
8. They demolished the upper cabinets but did not fix or paint the celling after the range hood contractor replaced it with the new range hood… we are expected to pay someone else to fix and paint an area that they took apart…
Did you notice that we had to work with three contractos for one job? It was such a headache and a traumatizing experience for me. In the future if I ever have to remodel, I am going with a bigger company like Home Depot, even though it may take months, I’ll at least get what I am paying for.
Again, Greg is a nice guy but these reviews should be based on the overall experience with the business, not just on the niceness of an individual.

We recently did a complete kitchen remodel and of the 10+ contractors we worked with for the project, Greg and Choice Granite is the only one from our entire kitchen remodel project we liked and would recommend. And I don’t mean he was the best of the worst… we actually liked him a lot and have since recommended him to multiple friends who are need similar services. Great prices and quality of work and materials.
