Rulo’s Smoked BBQ was started by Bob Rulo and his family, with one mission in mind to bring you the BEST BBQ in Southern Missouri.

RULO’S Smoked BBQ was started by Bob Rulo. Bob started out learning how to cook from his Grandpa Big Larry (Pops). Pops was a chef for years in many restaurants including being a lead cook for the U.S. Army, and a Head baker for Kroger. So Bob learned from Pops at an early age how to cook great food on a large scale. One of the key things Pops showed him was how to make the most tender mouth-watering BBQ he had ever had.
Bob took what he learned from his Grandpa and went to work for a few restaurants of his own, including 14 years at one of the largest tourist restaurant stops in St. Louis. He never felt satisfied working for someone else, and he couldn’t shake his passion for BBQ.
Bob set his mind that it was time for a change, and it was time to share what Pops had taught him all those years ago. So he created Rulo’s Smoked BBQ using only family recipes for their rubs, BBQ sauce, potato salad and slaw. Bringing you the BEST full flavored Smoked BBQ this side of the Mississippi
