Great customer service! I had an issue with my hot water heater and they sent a technician to my house immediately. He even went across town to pick up the needed part and came back a few hours later and finished the repair quickly. These guys are fantastic and are highly recommended!

In December 2014, I had a furnace check done by another local company who, upon visual inspection, advised me that I needed to replace the furnace due to a bad heat exchanger. As I was at home with a 8 month old, the serviceman said he wanted to «make sure that my baby would be safe», and proceeded to show me all the different types of new furnaces that I could purchase and install within the week.
CMR Mechanical came for a second opinion. Charlie was extremely thorough, took apart the furnace to examine the heat exchangers (no cracks or rust), and did a combustion analysis which did not show any elevations in the carbon monoxide level. He even called the furnace manufacturer to discuss a few features on the particular model, and then also changed the gas pressure to the manufacturer setting. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped educate afterwards on everything he did.
The next day, we noted the heat was actually worse, with minimal heat from the vents and unable to keep the heat above 65 degrees. I called CMR and within the hour Charlie called me back. Despite having an overbooked schedule due to the below 0 weather, he came and reexamined the furnace and spent an hour troubleshooting. The gas pressure adjustment (which he had put to the manufacturer setting) was inadvertently running the furnace too hot and setting off a high-​limit shutoff. He readjusted the setting and marked on the furnace of the proper settings for the house so future servicemen would not make the same mistake.
The other local company used my baby as a guilt trip to buy a new furnace. Charlie used my baby as motivation to go the extra mile to test whether there was an actual problem with the furnace (which there wasn’t), and came back the following day to troubleshoot an inadvertent error. CMR has won my trust as a customer and will be my go-​to for HVAC needs in the future!

Our furnace was not heating to the set temperature and the outside temperature was around zero, dropping the inside temperature just below fifty. I called CMR the minute they opened and spoke with Mark. Their schedule was full, but he was going to try to free up a Tech to come diagnose the problem. By 9:30am, Mark had Charlie at my front door. Charlie quickly identified the problem and completed the service within an hour.
Like a modern consumer, I researched the problem online and was horrified at my search results. I was braced to make the decision between a new furnace and a costly repair. When Charlie handed me a bill for $ 136, I was relieved. CMR is now my go to HVAC company.

I called CRM at 3:00 pm when suddenly realizing that our furnace stopped working all of a sudden in one of the coldest days of the season. I thought for sure it was so late, we would probably have to pay for after hours service. They assured me someone would get here within the next hour and they were not kidding! I was definitely impressed with Chris’ professionalism and how he went the extra mile by sharing valuable information regarding best practices for filter maintenance, and how to determine by shape and form, it was certainly time for a new one. I appreciate their honesty and integrity by providing us a simple solution to what we were dreading might have been a bigger issue. These guys have gained my trust and I’ll be a repeat customer for sure!

We renovated our Ann Arbor house this year and have had numerous crews and specialists in and out of our home for the last six months. Andy and his team of two Scott’s at CMR were outstanding. CMR Mechanical, came out to replace the water heater in our very old building. The guys did a fantastic job. They were clean, and quick, especially when they had to make adjustments because of the different size pipes they had to deal with in our old building. Price was very reasonable!!! Thanks guys!

I have had CMR Mechanical out to do checks on my furnace and air conditioning.
Our furnace is about 14 years old, and our A/​C about 13 years old. I was a little apprehensive about having them out, thinking that they’d find some minor things here and there that would have to be fixed.
I was pleasantly surprised both times when they cleaned things up, ran their checks, and said everything was fine.
They could have easily sold me something I didn’t need, but that’s not the way they operate.

CMR is the best. We’ve dealt with several other mechanical shops and none compare. 2 rooms upstairs are very cold, the competition told us that was a design flaw with our house and suggested space heaters. CMR put in a blower and the problem is solved.

We recently had need of speedy service for our furnace during cold weather. CMR was quick to respond, diagnosed the unusual problem we had, and tossed in routine maintenance service at no additional cost. The price was very reasonable and we’re warm and comfy again.
