The Collision Shop

Call me Olde fashion but a handshake on a business deal means a lot to me. My 1^st time with these people was bad. I needed a driver quarter panel on my front put on from a minor accident. Nothing any average collision shop deals with. Guy told me 3 days tops and it will look like new. Needless to say that it was 6 days later and still wasn’t «like new.» After a lot of back and forth I wasn’t happy but just wind up letting it go.

So, those of you who drive know there is a strong likelihood that you may find yourself caught in a collision, even if it was not your fault. Needless to say, collision shops will not run out of business so long as people drive. My mother had collision damage recently, and this was the closest shop. As you all may know, closest isn’t always best.
I will candidly admit this shop does good work. The car came back in better condition than it was in before the accident. I understand that the car needed both body and mechanical work, however, as things go with car repairs, both took significantly longer than expected. Apparently, they claim parts shortages contributed to the delay, but all things considered, they were less than forthright about what was really happening, and repairing cars in a timely fashion did not appear to be a priority.
After several broken promises and various delays, it took about four months to complete the work. The original promised date of completion was about three weeks. They continuously told us that the car would be ready by the weekend for several weeks. While their workmanship may be good, their business practices are quite questionable. I would recommend considering a different shop if you have a collision.
