Sugar ‘n Spice has offered concerned parents a professionally prepared preschool child development program that provides a caring and stimulating environment that helps children discover their abilities and develops self-​confidence.

Our preschool and pre-​K programs provide a challenging full day academic schedule for children with nursery school experience which not only includes readiness but reading, writing, and math when children are ready.

Large and small motor skills are developed, as well as social, hygienic and linguistic foundations.

Business Owner

Not often can you literally say someone was born for a job. Well I was. My parents started planning to open a nursery school before I was born. Construction of the building began when I was 9 months old. I entered this building as an infant and have never left.

Proudly I represent the Sugar ‘n Spice Kindergarten class of 1970; and still have many friends from that class that continued their education along the same paths as me. City School of Detroit (Now the international School), Pasteur Elementary, Region 5 middle school, Cass Technical, and Howard University.

My four daughters all attended Sugar ‘n Spice as well.
