Attorney Kevin Bessant has always been dedicated to protecting the rights of persons accused or charged with a crime in Michigan. Even as an undergraduate student majoring in Criminal Justice, Attorney Kevin Bessant knew that sometimes bad things happen to good people, but that quality legal representation was not always available.

While many people may have their own perceptions of what a Detroit Criminal Defense Attorney is or does, I enjoy working for the «underdog» who has all of the legal odds stacked against him or her in their criminal case. A criminal case is like a puzzle already put together by the Government and Prosecution. My goal is to break the puzzle apart, piece by piece, to show how those pieces never fit into the puzzle in the first place and to ultimately prove my clients innocence. I thoroughly enjoy what I do and I am especially pleased when my client is found Not Guilty, and able to walk out of the courtroom to go home back to their families instead of jail. Although most people will never need the services of a Criminal Defense Attorney, often times bad things happen to good people, and when they do, I work hard to restore that persons good name and reputation. This profession may not be for everyone, but I would not trade it for the world!
