We usually eat at Ocean Club when we are in Destin. I have enjoyed the grouper almandine for years. It never disappoints. The pianist, David Seering, is reliable in his music selection – numbers that older couples enjoy hearing and dancing. Food is enjoyable for the money. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant to anyone less than 50.

Aside from being chided for not having a reservation, this was a wonderful place to eat. The catch of the day was divine. Also, the 2 for one dining from 5 – 6 pm allowed us to enjoy and afford our meal.

Absolutely delicious food, elegant and upscale atmosphere, and attentive, excellent service. I have been to Ocean Club several times and recommend a delightful off-menu vegetarian selection(pasta in a scrumptious cream sauce with vegetables) and the beef tenderloin, which is an option on the early dinner special(buy one entrée get one free). I should mention it is listen as a tbone or my strip but they usually give tenderloin. I am giving four stars bc the scoop of mashed potatoes they serve with dinners is absurdly small, but that’s the only negative. The wine selection is a good mix and the appetizers are great, I recommend the caprese. Enjoy!

Absolutely fantastic! We started with charbroiled oysters, caprese salad, and wedge salads. We were there between 5 – 6 which allowed us to order from a special 2 for 1 menu. We had the first medallions(the waitress suggested we try doing them in a lemon sauce, so she brought that and a basalmic glaze, both were amazing with it, although it didn’t need anything). We also had the grouper almond and shrimp. We had key lime pie for dessert. Everything was great. I have to say though, the waitress Lynn was the best waitress I’ve probably ever had and she made our evening.

When can I come back?!? Love this place! I have been coming down to Tops’l for the last 15 years and always stop in at the Ocean Club because the food is to die for and the atmosphere unlike anything else in the area. The live music is crammed with beach classics that make me know that I am on vacation. I recently tried the Red Snapper special and think I might go back tomorrow to have it again! Our waiter was so friendly, and the manager couldn’t have been nicer stopping by to check on us and make sure we were doing okay. I can’t wait for my next meal at the Ocean Club. Love this place! Would highly recommend!

I’m giving 5 stars because the service of Brett, in my opinion one of the best waiters in Destin. Yes the food at OC is great but Brett makes the experience better! We come every October and love the 2 – 1 specials from 5 – 6. Try the grouper almandine !!

I went to this place for the first time with my friends in Destin! It was raining hard but thankfully they had the complementary valet parking so we didn’t have to get wet. We got seated but had to wait 20 minutes for the server to come. Not professional at all. The service overall was terrible. Had to ask for so many little things. And it wasn’t even busy when we went. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is nice but it can be a little bit loud during the dinner time because of their live music. Food: Food was okay. None of our meals were exceptionally good. For their price, I think their quality and taste can’t match up to the expectation. i got their dinner special with scallops. My friends got their steak and cajun pasta. I honestly do not know if I would risk going there again because of their service.

Our family of 10 with 4 kiddos aged 8 – 16 had a FANTASTIC dinner and time here, thanks to our waiter, Rick. There was a 1-man band and small dancefloor… perfect environment. :) A must visit gem.

This place was a huge disappointment on food, service, and price. Decided to dine for my birthday by recommendations of friends who live in the area. Dinner was just average(grouper almandine), so I’m glad we went for the early bird 2 for 1 menu. Also ordered gulf shrimp and crab martini appetizer. It was good, but nothing I can’t get at a hundred other seafood restaurants in the area for half the price. Service was sub-par for such an «upscale» restaurant. I didn’t even get a «Happy Birthday» when she delivered the check.

My family is a bit untraditional. We don’t typically do the whole Thanksgiving Dinner thing. There are only 3 of us, and we weren’t spending the holiday at home, so we decided to do some research to find a good restaurant in Destin where we could celebrate this food-based holiday. The majority of restaurants in the area boasted huge Thanksgiving buffets that ran earlier in the day. However, when we came across the Ocean Club Thanksgiving menu, it seemed much more inviting. Ocean Club was open all day and offered plates made to order at about $ 30 each. The options were a great mix of traditional fare(turkey, stuffing) and just plain delicious food(seafood, lamb). Each entrée also included warm rolls, a salad(waldorf or delicious house salad), and choice of dessert(pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and cheesecake). We made a reservation for 3PM but arrived a bit early and were seated quickly in the exterior room with beautiful views of a pond and fountain through the floor-to-ceiling windows. It almost felt like we were dining outside, sans the chilly November temperatures. We order a bottle of wine, and our waiter is very amiable and chatty(which we appreciate, considering that he’s missing time with his family to be here waiting on us). He explained that they have been under renovations for the past few weeks and just reopened that day to serve the Thanksgiving meal! Apparently they’re putting in a sushi bar, but the area where it’ll be is covered by a black tarp. We’re so thankful they’re open today. Let’s eat! It’s Thanksgiving, so that means it’s the one day a year I actually eat turkey. They had traditional turkey, but I ordered the cajun fried turkey to try something a bit different and Southern. The meat was moist, the skin a bit crispy with a hint of spices. The plate included gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, and scoops of mashed potatoes, stuffing, and corn soufflé. That’s all I need for a solid Thanksgiving meal! My dad decided to go the more untraditional route and ordered the grouper almondine based on our waiter’s recommendation. OC is known for this dish, and now I know why. The fish was tender, flaky and topped with delicious sauce and almonds. I’d come back on a non-Thanksgiving night and give this dish another go. As for dessert, there were 3 options, so we ordered one of each to taste ‘em all out! And they were all so tasty! The pecan and pumpkin pies were both traditionally great. However, the cheesecake was the winner with a graham cracker crust and warm pecan praline drizzle on top. The perfect end to the perfect meal that we didn’t have to prepare ourselves! We even had some leftovers to take home. just like those losers who make their Thanksgiving dinners at home. Ha! Take that! We win.

More of a club then a fine dining restaurant. We ordered char grilled oysters and what a joke. You got six of them and they were the size of a dime and not even tasty we then ordered a caprese salad. I’ve always had it where it is large slices of tomatoes with large slices of mozzarella … This one hardly had any cheese but instead was served with spring greens tasty but not what you would expect. Entrée was their signature grouper and no complaints. Waiter never gave me a knife or poured our wine or asked how we liked our food. Wednesday is locals night loved the music but way too loud to enjoy our meal. Oh and if you split your meal they charge $ 8. I say go to Elephant Bar and Grill and dance and drink at the Ocean Club

Visited here on a recent vacation and we LOVED it. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could, taking a half star off only because our service was slow(albeit friendly and competent). Anyway, I am so glad we went here. I had the grouper almandine and it was one of the best meals I have ever had in my life, so delicious. We also enjoyed the fried lobster, which was a first for all of us. It was delicious! Ocean Club is a must if you are visiting Destin, we would DEFINITELY return.

Came here for a special occasion with many friends with a fixed menu. I had the fried green tomatoes with lump crab meat for an app. Tomatoe wasn’t quite tart enough since they’re not in season yet. For main, I had a petit fillet that cooked a perfect medium. The ricotta cheesecake was a nice finish being light and not quite as dense. Service was a bit slow. Overall a nice dining experience.

This place is filled with wonderful memories and will always be a staple in our lives. It’s hard to pass on their grouper with a wonderful glass of wine. If I’m feeling a bit hungrier then I order their fried green tomoato’s with local fresh lump crab meat. Many times I am too full for dessert but I have, on occassion, ordered my favorite coconut pie and had it packed to go. The salad’s are perfect amount to enjoy before your meal.

My family vacations in Destin every year, and the Ocean Club is our favorite restaurant there. This is a very upscale, classy, and expensive restaurant, but if you can afford it, it’s definitely worth it. They also have early dining from 5:00 — 6:00 every night. It’s two for one, so it’s really quite a good deal! The most popular dish here among my family is the grouper almandine. They actually call it the«catch of the day» almandine on the menu, but it’s always grouper. I don’t know why they don’t just call it grouper if they never catch anything else. Anyway, I’ve had it once, and it is pretty awesome. It’s covered in almonds and some sort of sauce… I’m not sure how it’s spelled, but it sounds like«manure.» It certainly doesn’t taste like manure though! I’ve also had the soft shell crab before, which is also delicious, and the sauce is similar to the«manure» sauce that they put on the grouper. On Wednesday nights at 8:00, there’s a really nice band that plays. There’s a stage and dance floor. The band plays a lot of oldies from the ‘60s and ‘70s with a little bit of a jazzy twist. The saxophone player is great. He’s also the best singer in the band. After a few songs, the regulars all go out on the floor and start dancing. I even taught my mom to swing dance there! This is definitely a must-try restaurant if you’re in Destin.
