Wow! We tried Mimmo’s because of the good reviews but we were blown away by the amazing food and great service. We had a short wait but the bar had plenty of room so we enjoyed some excellent cocktails. Do try the Rosemary Berry Cooler! We couldn’t get the recipe but trust me, you have to try it! The Lasagna was the best I’ve ever had and the gnocchi was decadent! The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was a blast! Bravo to our new friends at Mimmo’s! We will be back with our appetites!

I ordered the linguine corleone which was pretty good, and came with more than enough sausage. I could have used the leftover to make a California-King-size pizza! Service was impeccable and it felt like an authentic Italian ristorante. Slightly overpriced, and even though I liked mine, some members of our party said it, «was like pretty average if you ask me bambino.»

Great food and great service at a reasonable price. I’ve been seeing the good reviews for years and finally made it in for dinner. Highly recommend this place!!!

Food was amazing, atmosphere was great. Just really didn’t like the fact they put us at a table near all the staff hangs out. It felt as if we had people hovering over our meal the entire time.

**He spilled wine all over the birthday girl! And gave no discount to make up for it!** I’ve never given a one star review of any restaurant before but I just can’t rate this any higher than one star. My boyfriend and I went here for my birthday dinner. The atmosphere was nice and that’s about the only good thing I can say. We waited a half hour to be seated, which was fine, but they seated us at a very sticky table by the kitchen. My boyfriends chair kept getting bumped by the kitchen staff. The waiter was rude. He knocked stuff off the table while trying to wipe it down after we said the table was not clean from the last customers. The food was alright. I hated the eggplant dish I ordered but that’s just me. Then, they brought me a slice of cheesecake with a candle in it for my birthday, which I was really excited about. BUT the waiter spilled my glass of red wine all over my new dress as he put the cake in front of me. It was a scene the entire restaurant witnessed like some bad scene from a movie. I tried to play it off with a smile expecting some sort of discount. Nothing. The waiter didn’t even wipe up the wine. My boyfriend gave me his napkin and we wiped it up and I ate the cake in a wine soaked dress. No discount or free cake or anything other than one«I’m sorry». They didn’t even remember to bring the leftovers they had boxed up back to our table. It wasn’t until we walked out the door that we realized they never gave the leftovers back to us. When we went back to get it, the waiter was extremely rude and cold towards us. I guess he didn’t appreciate his less than desirable tip. We usually tip waiters very well but this guy was so rude. I’m super disappointed that my birthday dinner and dress was ruined.

We were running late from an out of town drive. The staff were friendly and accommodating and assured us we still had plenty of time to enjoy our meal, even though the kitchen was closing. We ordered the chicken parmigiana, garlic knots, Caesar salad, and cheesecake. No exaggeration– it was some of the best Italian food(and just food in general) we’ve had! Absolutely amazing! Wanted to personally recognize our server, MacKenzie, and our host, Nikki. Both ensured our dining experience was incredible! We’ll definite come back!

Omg the garlic knots were amazing! The chicken Parmesan was good. The sauce on top was very tasty. My husband ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo! It was actually better than mine! My entrée came with angel hair pasta– fettuccine was way better! We were there right before dinner on a Tuesday so no wait at all! Although our server was trying to go home and was not very attentive– I would visit again on our next trip to Destin!

Mimmo’s was delicious! I had the Mimmo’s Chicken Marsala(the house special); the sauce was amazing, the chicken was tender, and the pasta was cooked to perfection! My wife had the special, the grouper over angel hair with a champagne based sauce. The server was very friendly and personable. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. It was very busy, so I recommend calling ahead for reservations. We enjoyed our experience at Mimmo’s, I recommend it if you have the means!

I hate giving up the goods on a local favorite but here it is! I also love to recommend something but I would just have to post the menu. Elianya and Raina are exceptional wait staff and remember our names when we come in and what we like to drink.

Just ok. Especially for the prices. Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. It was difficult ordering as the server wasnt very familiar with the menu as I have food allergies. It was decent, but for the prices wouldnt go back.

Excellent Italian cuisine! Don’t let the modest strip mall location or mostly adjacent Little Caesars fool you. This is hounds down the best Italian eatery in Destin. Reservations recommended unless you want to sit at the bar which is what we did. I had the pasta carbonara and it was bursting with flavor. The cannoli is not to be missed.

The food was hit or miss. Friend enjoyed his lasagna. The pizza was ok, think called mediterranean, Was not happy with wait staff touching food and putting hands on top plates.

Yum. Best Italian food I have had since Italy. Started with their famous garlic knots covered in parmesan and garlic butter… amazing. Then split a house salad. Main course I went with the stuffed shells with pesto cream sauce and my wife went with the penne alla vodka with shrimp… both were outstanding. Really nice décor inside the restaurant. Brick oven in the back if u are in the mood for pizza. The table next to us ordered it and it looked great. We will definitely be back.

In Destin for vacation and decided to check out this restaurant based on other Unilocal reviews. So happy we did because this is our favorite place after eating out for several days. Items ordered included: — caprese salad — house salad — fettuccine Alfredo — calzone with ham and salami All items were excellent. Salads were freshly prepared and plentiful. The Alfredo was sublime and not the typical HEAVY sauce that seems to be the accepted norm. Their sauce was light and flavorful. The highlight was the wood-fired calzone — dough was perfect and just the right amount of sauce. I have been searching for 20+ years to find a calzone that comes close to the one I used to get once a week for 4 years in Germany(Italian eatery). Well, the search is over. I found its equal in Destin. Excellent service. Fair prices. Very happy and will be back.

They were able to accommodate our larger group for a family dinner which was great. We enjoyed it and had plenty of leftovers. I thank Unilocal for leading us here. Nice atmosphere, it appears to stay pretty busy. The only knock was the service was a tad bit slow, but we were enjoying one another so it was not that obvious. We would definitely come back & refer friends too.

Amazing, amazing Italian spot nestled next to Another Broken Egg Café. It’s easy to miss from the street due to the angle of the building. We almost didn’t come here because we’d eaten«Italian»(pizza from Fat Clemenza’s) the night before and the fiancé and his brother were not up to another Italian place. But boy, were they raving about Mimmo’s for days after. Like others, we did have some trouble finding it at first. We’d spotted the shopping center sign with Mimmo’s at the top, but couldn’t find the actual establishment until we circled around a second time. We ended up being early for our 7:30 reservation(I’d made the reservation just two hours beforehand with no problems, and it was a Saturday). But that didn’t seem to be an issue — the place was hopping, but not too crowded just yet. To start, we got the calamari and the garlic rolls. The calamari was light, crispy and not greasy at all. I found the marinara a bit too tart for my liking, however. The garlic rolls… HEAVEN. That garlic butter that was poured on top of the rolls was killer! The rolls themselves were perfectly crusty on the outside and pillowy soft inside. I was amused to see they were actually really knots. On to my entrée, and the whole reason I wanted to go to Mimmo’s in the first place — the linguine vongole in white wine sauce. It did not disappoint. There were 8 or so baby clams still in their shells, but most of the clams were already shelled and chopped up. It definitely hit the spot, so tasty and definitely the best white clam linguine I’ve ever had. My breath was pretty kicking afterwards, though –__– We finished off this perfect meal with a couple of tiramisus. My only complaint was that the pieces were not bigger! The interior is very cool, the way. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside — you walk in thinking it’s going to be this teeny little joint, and it turns out it is a cavernous establishment complete with wrought-iron chandeliers throughout, an exposed oven covered in stones and a bona-fide«tunnel» leading to the restrooms. There is so much to look at within the restaurant. The owner did a great job picking out the décor. This is going to be our new must-stop place in Destin. Forget the tourist trap seafood restaurants, Mimmo’s is where you need to be!

The family and I decided to get off the 10 freeway and make a detour to Destin. Getting to the restaurant was an adventure. Destin is a happening place! The streets of Destin were packed with traffic. It was hard to get anywhere. Then my Garmin GPS took me to the wrong place. When I called, the person answering was not too helpful in providing direction. But, after 30 minutes of being lost in Destin, the family and I finally showed up. We were quickly seated and given menus. We ordered an Linguine Vongole, and a Mimmo’s Pizza. While waiting for the food, they brought out bread for us. After 7 hours of driving, the bread was exactly what I needed. Minutes later, both the Linguine Vongole and the Pizza came out. The Linguine Vongole was very good. It had lots of sauce and contained real clams with shells. The sauce was nice and garlicky. Both the wife and I liked it. The Mimmo’s Pizza had Prosciutto di Parma, mushroom, tomatoes, cheese and tomato sauce. The daughter liked the pizza. She had several pieces of it. I’m not much of a pizza eater, I thought it was okay. I liked that they were able to customize the pizza and have one side with no cheese on it. Mimmo’s is a nice little place in Destin. Don’t rely on your GPS to get here. Hopefully, if you ask for directions, they will be nice and tell you. I don’t know about their other food, but, the Linguine Vongole was good, and my daughter approves of the pizza.
