Breakers East Condominium

Rooms look nice and big but there were problems. Management is nice but they can’t fix anything; met some owners and board members but they were very pretentious and mean. They are the type of people that would dodge a draft for their sons and make your middle class son go to war instead!!! Things they couldn’t fix: dirty floors — our feet were black and dirty after walking around barefoot in the room for an hour. Found trash on the floor, ants in the cupboard and hair in the bathroom. Could hear the chairs dragging across the floor in the room above us. Woken up many times in the middle of the night to crashing noises that sounded like someone breaking into the condo. The place has poor construction and infrastructure! I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!! Nothing could be fixed because the owners and board members are greedy snakes.

stay away as a renter!!! owners are beach nazzis!!! got evicted for setting up our own beach chairs and umbrellas in the approved gap and then moving at 3pm where no one was!!! protest these supremacists and go park in front of them on public sand (20 ft from watermark). please do this anytime you can but never ever rent from them ever!!! do not support these power hungry maniacs!!!

Not only is the building right on the beach, it’s clean!!! Great views, great beach, great pool!!! This is the way to vacation with the family.

My wife and i just returned from our second vacation trip staying at Breakers East. We absolutely love it! watching the dolphins and just listening to the water is great. Perfect location in Destin, the staff are very helpful and this has become the only place we stay while on vacation. Gated community, close to shopping and entertainment and private beach. Highly recommended!

The condo units on right on the beach and have great views. Our unit was nicely furnished and clean. Originally intended only 1 week but liked it enough to stay another. Checked out 1÷30÷2012 and am still awaiting the return of my security deposite (was to be returned 14 days after check out). Have written twice with no reply, therefore the 3 stars. Would have given it 5 stars if they lived up to their rental program policy.

The breakers rents out personally owned condo units right on the beach front. With that in mind there are no traditional hotel perks provided (room service, bell hop, concierge, etc) but you do feel like you own the place. All the units have beach-​side balconys with amazing views. 2^nd floor units are a bit too close to the pools, but 3^rd and up offer great views and additional privacy.
I have stayed at the breakers on 6 different occasions ranging from 3−10days each (unfortunately they were all business related). The breakers offers government rates which vary by season, so this is a good change from a traditional hotel.
TIP: Free coffee in the main lobby during the morning for guests.
