If you like coffee this is the place. Great Kona coffee from Hawaii at reasonable prices. Beats Starbucks hands down!

I live a few miles from Badass and have worn out their reward system. The baristas are very dynamic and personable. I definitely prefer this local place over Starbucks. The banana nut muffin is my favorite snack and I love the skinny vanilla latte. It’s a perfect little place to get work done, too. Nice music.

Having moved here in April I have frequented this location enough times to earn 3 free coffees. Kreme de Kona(hot) and a blue berry muffin(warmed) are my preferences. I have always had good service here. After sharing my drink preferences with the staff they helped me select the Kreme de Kona. Friends and family have also enjoyed their visits here. We have enjoyed sitting inside, outside, and getting items to go. We have also purchased a few merchandise items too. Conveniently located along the Scenic 98 bike trail, this location is easily accessible whether walking, riding, or driving.

It’s nice to have a place near the beach that one can find a decent cup of Kona at a reasonable price, especially with the dearth of good coffee that I’ve found in the area so far.(One can only handle so much of the big brand name coffee joints after all.) Both times I’ve been in so far, I was greeted by a very pleasant barista and the local black Labrador Retriever who calmly watches everyone who comes in and greets them with a tail wag. I didn’t get a chance to stay long on either occasion, though both times my latte was hot, prompt, and tasty. There appears to be a local following of patrons, television and wi-fi available along with local newspapers and other reading material, and a good selection of beans and other products to buy when my supply runs out, so I’ll be certain to return. Cheers!

I’m new to Unilocal and wanted to show some love for such a great place. Bad Ass Coffee is the perfect spot for a great relaxing environment to enjoy my caffeine fix.

Well, they got their name right, but not in the way they intended. My first sign should have been the«speciality Latte Menu» which read more like a Sundae shop than a «bad ass coffee bar». If you are looking for craft coffee, this isn’t your spot.

Definitely like a lot better than Starbucks(gasp) and it’s so affordable. I had two iced lattes, a snickerlious which was okay, but tasted nothing like I hoped it would. I also tried the Carmel vanilla latte and it was perfect. They all came with coffee ice cubes which is pretty awesome. My husband got the bad ass mocha and enjoyed it, I sipped it :) it was definitely bad ass. We had great service. And will be visiting again :).

Got the sinckerlicious and it was fabulous. Not to sweet. Great espresso! Blueberry muffin was moist and delicious. Friendly baristas and a comfortable atmosphere! 2 large coffees one muffin and one breakfast sandwich came out to $ 13

Such a cute idea & in a great area… It’s nice to see that Starbucks hasn’t taken over every corner! That being said, been here the last two days & it’s taken 20 minutes to get coffee & the line hasn’t been more than 2 – 3 people. I think it’s time to invest in some more help! Definitely don’t come here if you are in any sort of a time crunch.

The barista was exceptional. I RARELY encounter one that asks if I prefer my cappuccino wet or dry. Usually I get a latte when I order a cappuccino, but not this time. The«Kona» coffee was great to try. Atmosphere is amazing. The breakfast sandwiches were fair, but came with a bit of fresh fruit which was nice. Overall, 2 medium coffees with upgrades sandwiches was $ 20. I will go back. It’s a cool place.

2 stars because the drinks were okay(not great). The reason for the low ranking is because the young lady who served us this afternoon could not have been more apathetic about serving us. We ordered 2 drinks. Wife got an ice coffee. When I asked what the barista would recommend, she pointed at a pot of coffee and said, «that one». Could have said something like, «we have great coffee — a really popular one is …» I wonder if the company values customers — by the lack of enthusiasm, I would guess that the store owner is pretty far removed from the store and the brand. Won’t be coming back on future vacations.

If you want expensive watered down coffee, this is the perfect place. Also, the muffins are hard and the coconut mocha tasted like you were drinking chemicals. On the plus side, it’s really cool inside

Friendly service and terrific 100% kona coffee! The muffins are also fresh and tasty. Don’t waste your taste buds on an elaborate beverage when they’ll make you a café au lait with the kona.

Well it’s not quite bad-ass coffee but closer to bad. Had the iced mocha and it was pretty meh. Great beach location, fast service. I also had the chocolate chip muffin which was total garbage. I wouldn’t be a regular here.

Great experience, great coffee. We’ll be back when we come back to Destin. Keep up the great coffee experience. Btw, the coffee ice cubes are genius!

Long line(not their fault), but maybe there’s not enough staff? The guy at the register was a complete jerk. Everything we asked was as if we had asked him to do something extremely painful. And we’re not fancy – I just asked the guy to make my latte with skim milk. He then marked the wrong cup, and when we noticed he gave us a look. So my boyfriend’s coffee came out as skim milk. Not impressed. This place needs some help with it’s customer service.

I was in search of a place to check out during my usual morning stroll, and then BAM, I was trapped. I mean I found this place. It’s not on the beach, but a street over. I’m not a coffee drinker, so I wasn’t disappointed to wait in the line for 5 minutes while I searched the menu for something to suit my taste. Frappé is my usual non coffee drink of choice at a coffee house. They have a fancy name for theirs and offer many flavors to choose from(I posted a photo of the options). The first day, I chose the first listed flavor option, The Bad Ass Mocha, in the frozen version. Yum! The next morning I went back and tried the pecan pie flavor and my daughter had the Bad Ass Mocha. Hers was barely frozen, more like a cold drink, the consistency was completely different and she didn’t finish it. The last day that I was trapped, my husband got the same thing and added a few shots of expresso. He tested it before leaving the register and the cashier rudely said«when you add 140 degree expresso, it isn’t going to be frozen». Wow, not a great way to respond to a third time patron… or anyone who just spent $ 8+ on a drink. On my last visit I had a cinnamon roll. I asked for it to be warmed up but it wasn’t so much and I didn’t finish it, I wouldn’t recommend it. They are dog friendly, which was a plus for me because Sadie was with me on my morning strolls. She liked the break but wasn’t fond of the tiny gated off area that I put her in while I was inside for five minutes. How did I know that she didn’t like it? Someone told me that she cried the entire time that I was in there. Oops. She’s a bit spoiled. After the no frozen fiasco, I wouldn’t go back. I have to admit though, the first time was a good experience.

Had an awesome experience here! Our beach house is located right across the street so we decided to walk over and grab some coffee before starting the day. First impression, really cool look! It’s beachy and fun without being over the top. Same with the interior. We were greeted promptly and the staff was very willing to help us pick out a couple lattes that are favorites. I got the snickerlicious(I think lol) latte and omg it was freaking amazeballs. My cousin got the pecan pie latte and she liked it too. I’m not a coffee drinker, so these options are fabulous for me. We also got a bagel and it was super yummy! Definitely plan on going back tomorrow!

I have visited this place many times over a few years and have been more impressed by the little drive thru location than I have the actual coffee shop. While it is cute and beachy, the coffee shop is always out of something. One day it is muffins, the next day the only fruit that they offered on the assorted fruit plate(around 11AM) was watermelon… for $ 5. I can buy a whole watermelon for that price. I ordered an iced coffee and used the creamer that was located on the table in direct sunlight. After driving off, I tasted my coffee and noticed a foul smell, most likely from the warm cream that had been out in the sun all morning long. As for the drive-thru, which is located a little more inland, my coffee was always perfect and I was not informed that things were out of stock. Next time I visit Destin y’all can catch me here!
